You were sitting out on the deck watching the scenery of the sunset. You felt a tap on your shoulder and turned to see Zoro.

"Hey can we talk?" He asked. "Yeah." You turned around and faced him. "Well. When I was getting you back from a guy on "their" ship I asked a few questions." You nodded your head for him to continue. He looked nervous and you smiled to reassure him you were okay with whatever he was going to say.

"I asked him why Kuro wanted you on their crew so bad, and he said that it was because...your father killed his family." You were confused. Your dad died a while back from the assassination of his own crew. You never liked him because he left you and your mom without a word. "So what? That was my idiot father." You said as you got angry. "That's what I said but, he also said that Kuro wants you because you're the next best thing. He told me about your mother to." You started to get sad and looked towards the ground.

Your ears flattened and tears clouded your vision as you tried your best to not let them fall. "I'm sorry (y/n). I just thought I would tell you." Zoro said as he stood in front of you with a look of sadness on his face. You looked up and smiled through your tears. "I-it's okay. I'm fine." A tear escaped your right eye and you couldn't hold it back anymore. You burst out crying into your hands and falling to your knees. Zoro crouched down and hugged you tightly. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything." He said as he pulled you closer and you cried into his chest.

You eventually calmed down after a few minutes of sobbing and looked up at Zoro. "No. It's fine. I needed to get that out." You smiled and Zoro smiled back. "I know I'll have to tell the rest of the crew but...if I can't do it, will you?" Zoro looked down and nodded his head.

~Time Skip~

You and Zoro walked to the kitchen when Sanji called out for dinner. That is when you decided to tell everyone.

You sat down in your regular spot and caught everyone's attention because of your puffy eyes. "(Y/n), have you been crying?" Nami asked. "I actually think I should tell you guys about my past." You stated as you wiped away the dry tears and rubbed you eyes. "Well...okay." Robin said.

You smiled and began. "Well. When I was about 4 my dad left to join a pirate crew without a word to me or my mom and soon became the captain. A few years later I turned 8 and my mom got really sick and eventually died from it 5 years later. The doctors couldn't do anything so they just let her go. I got put in an orphanage in my village but ran away when I was 17. I walked to the shore one day and got spotted by Kuro. He let me join the crew for obvious reasons but I didn't expect him to treat me the way he did because I didn't know anything. Soon I escaped the ship and lived at the village you all found me at when we battled Kuro for the first time." Everyone looked at you and just stared. It kind of made you feel awkward. "Uh...could you guys stop staring like that?" You asked nervously. "That's kind of intense." Usopp said as he had wide eyes.

You smiled and laughed a little. "It doesn't sound like much but it felt like a lot considering that when I ran away from the orphanage I had to fend for myself." You said as you looked back at your food and poked at it. "Zoro told me that when he saved me from the other crew he questioned someone and they said that Kuro wanted me because my father killed his family. And sense he found out my father died he turned to me because everyone else in my family passed. He didn't kill me. He just tortured me." You kept your eyes on your plate as you spoke. Everyone turned and looked at each other. You didn't notice everyone nod to each other and crowed around you.

All of a sudden you feel many pairs of arms wrap around you. You smiled when you realized everyone gave you a group hug and you laughed but cried at the same time. "Why are you crying again (y/n)?" Luffy asked. "We care about you and are trying to make you feel better. Do you not like what we're trying to do for you?" Luffy asked confused. You laughed and replied. "It's just that I'm happy and I haven't had people care for me sense my mother died. And I feel the emotions of happiness and sadness at the same time. It's confusing." You smiled up at everyone and hugged back.

"Just remember (y/n) you're my nakama, and everyone else's. We care for you." Luffy smiled his big toothy grin and you laughed at him happily. "Thank you guys." You said as everyone backed away from you.

Everyone went back to eating and soon went to their normal doings. You were just reading out on the deck. "You seemed to handle that pretty well." You heard Zoro say from behind you. You jumped in surprise and turned to look at him. You laughed and nodded. "You really know how to sneak up on someone." You stated. He laughed and sat cross cross beside you. "Thank you Zoro." You said. "For what?" You looked at him and smiled. "For helping me find some of the best friends I could ask for, and that love me as well." You smiled happily and hugged him. He smiled back and returned the hug. "I had a feeling that if I helped you find a different way to the other side of the island, I was going to get something good out of it. I didn't know what but I really got more than I bargained for. And I say that in a good way." You backed away from the hug and smiled at him as you pulled your arms back to yourself.

"I think I should head to bed. It's getting pretty dark." You stood and closed you book. "I guess I should to. Everyone is already in bed." Zoro said as he stood up as well. "Goodnight Zoro." You said as you turned and walked to the girls quarters. "Night." He replied doing the same thing and heading to the boys quarters.
