Libra's POV:

When I stepped into the vortex caves nothing bad happened. Phew! I took a few steps further ad gestured for everyone to catch up.

The inside of Vortex Caves was amazing! The aquamarine and obsidian crystals shining and glowing, casting shadows around the room.

I walked deeper into the cave until I had traveled at least 25 meters into the cave.

I looked around, I reached a pool of water with an island in the middle. On the island was a few boulders surrounded by trees. The only source of light was a small hole in the roof of the cavern that cast shadows on the trees and rocks.

I squinted my eyes and focused on a shadowed figure sitting on the rocks. "Stay there." I whispered not looking back at the others.

Then I took a step forward on to the small 6 inch wide strip of land that connected the cave to the island in the water. The edges and walls of the cave suddenly started to glow a bright blue color. I froze, unsure of what to do next. Then out of the shadows on the island, I saw two golden eyes appear.

I stared at the two golden orbs, trying to figure out what or who they belonged to.

"Come forth seekers. I've awaited your arrival." a hollow voice rang out as a silhouette appeared out of the dark shadows.

I gulped but took a shaky step forward. Then another and another, until I had safely reached the island.

I was about 2 meters away from the golden eyed figure but I still couldn't completely see them. I waited, wondering what to do from here but that changed when the hollow voice rang out again.

"Step for half-moon seekers." It commanded. I furrowed my eyebrows, confused but then remembered the rest of the group. Keeping my eyes on the shadowed figure, I turned my body towards the other half-moons.

I waved my hand, signaling for them to come over. I took my eyes off the figure and stared as one by one the others made their way onto the island.

When the last person, Aries, stepped onto the island, the narrow strip of land shimmered gold and then disappeared in a burst of gold fragments.

We all gasped!

Oh no. We were stuck.

"I've been waiting quite a while for this, seekers." the hollow voice said with a hint of joy. Then out of nowhere a burst of force came and hit me, shoving me backwards into the water!

I watched in what seemed like a powerless slow motion as we all got sent flying backwards into the water! I felt the water consume me one moment and then felt like I was getting ripped away from it the next moment!

I eyes lolled back into my head, I felt dizzy, I couldn't breathe, and my world began to spin in a mix of blue, purple, and black.

Well this is one crazy way to die, I thought. Then all of a sudden things stopped spinning and the air rushed back into my lungs. I still felt shaken but the world was completely still.... well if I could call it a world... I pinched the bridge of my noise then shook my head to relive my dizziness. Then I tried to assess my surroundings,.... I was floating in space!?

Woah what? I looked at my hands, I must be crazy! I looked up again, nope! I was in space, a empty place full of stars. Wow, it was amazing the stars scattered across the galaxy.

But wait where was everyone else? And what happened?

I did my best to "turn" (it was more like a swim-spin) around. I looked into the distance and saw what looked like an aquamarine and white glowing glass platform 5 meters away.

I didn't know how this "place" worked to I decided to try something.... I concentrated deeply on the thought of walking forward and willed my legs to do it. I tried to take a step forward like I normally did and surprisingly it worked!

I couldn't see any changes right away but when I took a step I felt like there was something solid underneath my feet. I looked down as risked taking another step and saw that there was a glowing white-ish light under my feet that looked like water ripples when you step in a puddle when I took a step.

I took another cautious step and another then I broke into a run! This was spectacular!

I willed myself to run to the mysterious platform. When I stepped onto the glowing platform, it was like I was standing on a floating dock.

I searched for the others and they were right there! The same distance from the glowing platform as me from before. I watched as most of them were rubbing their foreheads, pinching, the bridge of their nose, or observing their surrounding. They must have been through the same thing as me when we got shoved into the water.

I wanted to call out to the other half-moons but wasn't sure if I could do it. Well it's worth a try, right? I thought. Then I took a deep breath and shouted like I did in our "past world".

"Hey you guys! Over here!" I hollered and I guess it work cuz all of the half-moons stopped what they were doing and their eye's darted around looking for me.

Finally Leo located me and shakily raised her arm so she could point to me. The others immediately noticed and looked at me with a questioning look.

"I don't know where we are or how we got here, but you guys should come over to the glowing platform." I said. "How?" asked Sagittarius then a shocked look came over her face and her hand quickly flew to her throat.

"You can talk," I said while nodding, "we all can." "You guys need to come over here." I stated. "Again how, Libra? We're in space." Gemini asked looking surprised at first at the sound of his own voice but then his facial expression returned to normal.

Oh boy, I thought, this was going to be the hard part, hopefully they don't think I'm insane.

"Ok you have to put trust in me for this one." I said calmly. "Concentrate on the idea of walking forward and will your body to do it, like in out "old world." Then taking a step forward, you should feel like there is something solid under your feet. You'll see a glowing light under you feet but don't worry about it. Just think about going forward and try running to this platform like you would in the normal world." I explain.

"Alright, seems like I'll go first." Aries said with a voice filled with uncertainty. He closed his eyes and took a step forwards. As I expected there was a faint water ripple like light that appeared when he took the step, the only difference was the light glowed a red color not white like mine.

Everyone watched in awe and then Aries opened his eyes, grinning. He broke into a sprint over to me. Aries kept running towards me but my face changed when I realized that he wouldn't be able to stop in time and he would crash into me!

"Aries!" Scorpio screamed reading my facial expression. "I know." Aries said while smirking. At the last second, Aries jumped and did a front flip over my head!

When he landed, I pressed my hand to my heart. One two three. One two three. One two three. As I let out the breath that I had been holding, Aries placed his hand on my shoulder. "Libra, you ok? Sorry but that was way too much fun!" he chuckled.

I glared at him for several seconds before rolling my eyes and smiling lightly, "Yes. I'm fine, don't do that again." I stated as I turned back to the other half-moons. "No promises." said Aries from behind me. "Guys come on! It will be fine!" Aries called out.

Taurus and Virgo looked at each other then they broke out into a sprint. I watched as their faces lit up with amazement, fascination, and joy. Then Aquarius, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Pisces all took their first step and then a second before racing over to the glowing platform.

Gemini whispered something to Leo that I couldn't here but then the two broke into a run over the platform. Gemini reach the platform 2.5 seconds before Leo did and he wasn't out of breath, just a little bit of heavy breathing.

When Leo came to the platform she just stared at Gemini and he stared back, "I win." Gemini said smugly. Leo rolled her eyes, "Whatever, I wasn't trying." she said and I noticed that she wasn't out of breath either, just slightly heavy breathing.

I shook my head and counted the number of half-moons.... 10. I looked to see Scorpio and Cancer still floating in the air.

"Come on you two!" screamed Aquarius. Scorpio shook her head, she looked really pale. "I don't like heights." she whispered.

I looked down realizing what she meant, this place was so.... weird....no-..... different. Since we were floating there was no ground and looking down I was reminded of that. It looked like I was standing on nothing hundreds of thousands of meters up. If Scorpio had an unpleasant feeling towards heights, this was terrifying.

I decided to try to help Scorpio and took a step off the platform but an arm pulled me back. "Don't. Let her handle it with Cancer. It's the only way she will get over it." Aries's voice whispered in my ear. I nodded and stepped back.

Cancer walked over to Scorpio and turned her so that she faced him. "Scorpio do you trust me?" Cancer asked Scorpio quietly. She nodded but her eyes where frozen on looking down.

"Then look up at me. Look into my eyes." Cancer stated but Scorpio stayed frozen, "I can't." she whispered. "Scorpio. Look at me, come on." Cancer said encouragingly as he placed his fingers under Scorpio's chin and slowly turned her head up until her grey blue eyes met his violet ones.

"I know you hate heights but you can get through this. Let me help you, ok?" whispered Cancer to Scorpio and she nodded. Cancer grabbed both of Scorpio's hands and squeezed them tightly.

"Scorpio, close you eyes. I've got you, I won't let go, trust me." Cancer said and Scorpio closed her eyes. "Ok now I'm going to start walking. Don't think about anything, Scorpy, just follow my voice and think about walking around my lab back home." Cancer said taking 3 steps backwards.

I watched as Scorpio took a few steps forward with out any problems. Cancer continues to walk backward and Scorpio followed his lead with her eyes still shut tightly.

Then Cancer stopped and let go of one of Scorpio's hands. "Cancer..?!" Scorpio's voice said sounding slightly panicked. "It's ok. I'm right here." Cancer said then he continued walking and Scorpio managed to follow suit.

Halfway over, Cancer voice rang out again, "Scorpio, let's run and when I tell you to open your eyes, promise me you will." "I promise as long as you're holding onto me." Scorpio chimed.

The two broke into a run and then Cancer said the 4 magic words. "Scorpio, open your eyes."

Scorpio opened her eyes, she gasped but continued running. Then a huge smile broke accross her face and she started to run faster until she and Cancer reached the platform.

"See? They did it." Aries murmured. "I made it!" Scorpio said happily, "thank you, Cancer."

Cancer smirked, "No problem, anything for my Scorpy whos afraid of heights." he teased. Scorpio's face flushed red and she pushed his chest, "Be quiet. Everyone's afraid of something and that was mine." she muttered.

"So now that we are all here, what next?" asked Pisces.

"I believe that I have the answer to your questions, seekers...." an all too familiar voice rang out. I turned to see a pair of glowing golden eyes but this time, I saw the figure of a woman.

"Lady Black Hole." I said, and she nodded.

"I am Lady Black Hole, the speaker of past and future. I have awaited you and I know you have question for me to answer so seekers, ask away...."
