Army quarters, 5th wing. ..

  Ranjith opened his cubicle door ,rubbing his eyes  thinking who it would be at so early in the morning. ..

   " good morning Ranjith "

  Ranjith's face turned up to see shravan. At the very next moment, his eyes shrunk at shock to see his blood stained face. ..

   " shravan. ...what's this. .? "

His words shook with concern. ..

" isshhh. .."

Shravan hissed and showed the car outside. ..

       Ranjith was terrified with the car that was smashed at the front side. ..He ran to the car, seeing sumo at the passenger's seat. ..

  " sumo. ..are you alright. .? " He shook her shoulders. ..

  Suman who had just drifted off unknowingly awoke with a squeaky cry. ..

" shravan. .."

She's panting heavily  with perspiration. ..she gulped to wet her parched throat. ..she hold herself calm after seeing Ranjith. ..

Shravan slapped  his forehead annoyed. ..

" Ranjith. ..when will you start to behave like an adult. .? I gestured you to be quite as she's sleeping. .."

   Ranjith smiled sheepish. ..

  " ok. ..it's my fault. ..so sorry. ..sumo. ..come in. ..relax first. .."

  Ranjith helped her to get down from the car. ..

    After a while, Ranjith served them with coffee that's from the army kitchen. ..

   " shravan. ..tell me now. ..what happened. .? "

  Shravan sipped the coffee and winced with pain. ..

  " ouch. .."

" shravan. ..is it paining hard. .? "  asked in concern,touching his shoulders. ..

  " quite a bit. .."

He winked at her,dapping his torn lip corner gently. ..

  Sumo extended her hand to him  unaware of Ranjith's presence. ..

  " hello madam. ..consider this poor soul. ..I am here. .."

Ranjith teased at blushing sumo. ..

     After spending some seconds in silence, shravan narrated the incidents they  had encountered at the previous night. ..

Ranjith listened silently. ...

" shravan. ..why didn't you get my help. .? A single beep from your phone would have done wonders. ..why you didn't alarmed us. .? "

  Shravan jerked at him. ..

" Ranjith. ..it's nothing to compare our missions. ..yet, I was concerned with Sumo's safety. That's why I thought to act diplomatic. ..otherwise, Shravan's approach would be different "

   His fist curled up in fury to see her reddened wrists. ..

   " Ranjith. ..I think the farm house had been bugged. ..."

" what. .? How could it be possible. .? "

Ranjith asked. ..

" it was my guess. ..now, I am damn sure that our house is under surveillance. ..either by a hidden camera or by a audio bug. ..."

  " why do you say that shravan. .? "

Sumo sat close to shravan  shocked  that they were monitored by someone. ..

    "Uncle told me about papa s locker. ...at the very next day, the bank had been robbed. ..I still had a doubt that it was  fabricated to check with our locker. ..and I talked with you over phone about our dinner. ..finally, our kidnap. .."

" if my guess is right. ..the bug is in our living room. ..."

  Ranjith and sumo exchanged terrific looks at each other. ..

  " shravan. ..how's it possible even. .?The farm house is highly sophisticated with security locks. ..no one could enter as they wish. .."

  Ranjith asked puzzled. ..

" you're right Ranjith. ..yet, the criminals are intelligent and they afford the technologies too. ..they're trained to barge in security without much difficulty. .."

He sighed. . 

" remember. ..papa was killed at the same farm house that was believed to have high security system. .."

Ranjith nodded thoughtfully. ...

" if I am not wrong, the murderers should have fixed the bug soon after they had entered the house. ..because, after that, no one got in ..."

  
   Shravan kept the coffee mug at table. ..He walked towards the window. ..

" Ranjith. ..papa was working against a dangerous yet intelligent foe. ..He indeed had left clues to me. ..I think. ..I would get him by two days. .."

Shravan gritted his teeth. ..

" shravan. ..why don't we have a search operation at the building. .?"

  Shravan laughed sarcastic at Ranjith. ..

" there's no use of it. ..by this time, they would have escaped. .."

" shall we file a complaint at local police station. .?"

 
    Sumo asked shravan. ..

" no sumo. ..it would alert the thugs. ..moreover, I don't want to give unnecessary details to police on account of our secrecy. .."

     Shravan sighed deeply. ..

" first. ..we have to get the jewellery box from safe. ..it's not just  a jewellery box. ..I think the mails are connected to them. ..before that, we have to sweep the bug. .."

  Ranjith nodded. ..

" Ranjith. ..my phone, car and me sumo are clear off bug. ...I need bug sweeping device from the armoury. ..get them now. .."

" then. .?"

" then. ...we have to decipher the  mails. ..indeed they had different meaning. ..i got it yesterday night. ..do one thing Ranjith. ..we will work on it. ..come to farmhouse by evening. .."

     After getting the device shravan and sumo drove to the farmhouse. ..
