Unknown p.o.v.

In an accident tomb or grave, was a horde of minions standing. They were waiting! Waiting for the right time to open an old sarcophagus. Suddenly two of the men opened it and revealed an accident pharaoh. He was alive and angry that his slumber has been disrupted. 

”Why has my slumber bin disrupted!” He scream. Suddenly a bright light appeared and a unknown voice was talking from somewhere. 

”To fulfil your duty to the shadows!” the voice scream, and the charm on the Farao's head lighted up. The Pharaoh got up on his feet and looked at his minions. 

”Make my carriage ready!” He scream. His minions bowed. ”We shall go on some hunting!”. 

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara was sitting in the class near Zane and Alexis. Banner was having a history class about legendary duelists, and funny enough Jaden was awake. Tara could see her brother a pair of places away from her. He was sitting close to Syrus and Chazz. 

”You all know these two legendary duelist Yugi muto and Seto kaiba right!” said Banner. Everyone in the class nodded or began to mumble. Tara clenched her fist when Banner mentioned Seto Kaiba. She could still remember the letter. Zane noticed it and took her hand. Tara got a little surprised, but squeezed his hand too and smiled. 

”One day you will have to tell me, why you are so angry at Seto Kaiba” Whispered Zane and smiled at her. Tara nodded. 

”Yeah I know! But not now!” She whispered back.

”But I hope you realise that there were a lot of legendary duelists back in ancient time!” Banner said. The class mumbled again. 

”Well how is that prof!” asked Jaden confused ”Duel monsters hasn't bin out that long has it!”. Tara facepalmed at her stupid brother. Did he skip that class to, she wondered. Syrus explained it to Jaden. That duel monsters was originally from ancient egypt. Tara knew this subject. 

”Yes Syrus! You are right!” said Banner ”And one of these legendary duelists from Egypt was a powerful Pharaoh called Abidos The Third. The legend said that he is undefeated!”. The whole class mumbled again.

”Undefeated!” screamed the twins in unison. It gave a ekko in the class. Tara blushed a little. She didn't like to be noticed in the class. Banner showed them a drawing picture of him. Jaden however didn't care and continued talking. 

”That's so sweet! He must be something special!” Jaden said and grinned ”But if he was here today! That record of his would be long gone!”. Tara grinned. She could see that Chazz also was grinning. Tara had a feeling that he didn't believe Jaden. 

”Of course you would!” said Chazz sarcastic ”And then you will properly take down Kaiba and Yugi muto too!”. Tara sneered a little. She really wished Jaden would take down Kaiba. However Jaden didn't realise that Chazz was sarcastic and smiled. 

”Oh Chazz I didn't know you have so much faith in me!” Jaden said happy and clueless as ever. Tara grinned in a low voice. So did the others in the class. Chazz got angry and grabbed Jaden. He was about to rip his ears off. Syrus was trying to call them down, and saying that Banner could hear them. Tara however knew that it was already to late. The whole class had heard them by now. 

”Jaden, Chazz, Syrus!” screamed Banner in his calm and gentle voice ”You all got detention again!”. Tara just sighed. It was fifth time this week. The whole class grinned. Suddenly Alexis poked at Tara, and both her and Zane looked at her. 

”I need to talk to you after class!” She said ”So what about we meet at the usual spot and time after class!”. Tara and Zane both nodded. 

Time skip.. in the evening. 

Tara walked together with Zane, towards the lighthouse. It was close at dusk! It was their normal time. Everyone could relax and finish their homework, if they had any, before the meeting at the lighthouse. Tara loved it. The time was just perfect when the stars appeared in the evening. When they arrived Alexis was already there. Tara could see that she looked troubled. 

”Hi lexi!” said Tara and grinned. She gave Alexis a scare. She was properly lost in her thoughts. Zane grinned a little two, but then turned serious. 

”So what do you want to talk about Alexis!” asked Zane. Tara chose to stand beside Alexis's other side. She also looked worried at her friend. 

”Um thanks for coming you guys!” She said and sighed. ”I just needed one to talk too”. Tara smiled at her. 

”Sure anytime Alexis!” said Tara and smiled. Alexis smiled back. 

”It is my brother!” She said worried. ”I thought by having him back, everything would somehow be okay again, but there is all these new questions, and the shadow riders.. I just don't know what to do anymore!”. Alexis took a deep breath and sighed. Tara didn't know what to answer. She really wished to help her best friend. 

”I don't know ether!” said Zane suddenly and the two girls looked at him ”I don't know how to help him, but remember this Alexis! At least he is back home and safe!”. Alexis smiled. Tara smiled too. She was about to say something, when suddenly the ground around them felt like it was moving. Suddenly the ground cracked and some mummies appeared out of some holes. They approached them. 

”Give us the spirit keys!” They scream. Tara looked really frightening. She hugged Alexis, and she hugged her back. Zane was trying to shield them from the mummies. 

”Don't worry!” He said in his calm voice. ”I will protect you!”. Tara didn't know what to do. She could fight tigers and vampires, but was scared of some mummies. Tara sighed inside. It was properly because she saw to many horror movies. If you hit a mummy it would always get back on its feet again, or was that Zombies?! Tara didn't really care. They were in problems!

Jaden's p.o.v.

Jaden, Chazz and Syrus was on their way home after detention. It was late! Syrus sighed a little. 

”Now we had detention again!” He said. Jaden grinned. 

”Yeah and who's fault was that!” said Jaden and grinned ”You can blame Chazz over here!”. Chazz looked really angry. 

”Okay that does it!” He scream and was about to attack Jaden, when they suddenly heard someone scream. Jaden rushed toward the sound and could see (From a cliff) Zane, Alexis and his sister beside the lighthouse at the harbor, and they were attacked by some Mummies. 

”Alexis, Zane, Tara!” screamed Jaden and looked in horror.  

”They are bin attacked by some mummies!” Syrus screamed out loud. However Zane noticed them. 

”Run!” He screamed to Jaden and co ”Save yourself!”. 

”Yeah!” Added Tara ”I don't want you to get caught too!”. However Jaden couldn't. He rushed towards the harbor along with his friends. However they didn't come very far! A bunch off mummies showed up from the ground too and surrounded them. 

”Give us the spirit keys!” They scream in unison and approached them too. 

”Our keys!” screamed Jaden back. Chazz sneered a little.

”I think they are the new shadow riders!” Chazz said angry and was about to defend himself. However suddenly a bright golden ship was appearing in the sky. It was so bright that Jaden and co had to close their eyes. Jaden could hear a voice say:

”Duelists I have come for you!”. Everything when black. 

”Jaden! Jaden wake up!” screamed a voice near his ear and Jaden woke groggy up. He looked around and saw his sister, sitting on the floor beside him. 

”Where.. where am I!” He asked. Tara sighed.

”Um I think we all got captured by these mummies and are now in some weird flying ship!” Tara said. Jaden looked around. Apparently Tara was right. However he noticed that his friends all were gathered here. Even professor Banner. 

”Hey professor!” screamed Jaden confused ”What are you doing here!”. Jaden rushed over to his friends. Banner sighed. 

”I was taking a walk with my cat and suddenly these mummies grabbed me!” He said and sighed again. ”It had properly something to do with our keys!”. 

”Yes I think thats how they all found us!” said Zane. Suddenly they heard a sound of someone hitting a gong. They all followed the sound. Jaden and Tara walked over to a giant platform, who looked like a duel arena. (Looks like the field on Kaiba's airship actually) On one side of the field was a guy sitting on a throne. He had a weird mask on. He was surrounded by these mummies. They looked like his minions. 

”Hello there!” said the guy in the mask. Banner suddenly looked sacred and fell surprised to the floor. Jaden looked confused. 

”Um someone who can explain why Banner fell to the floor!” asked Syrus confused. 

”Who knows!” replied Chazz and snort. 

”I have a feeling I have seen that masked guy before!” said Tara and looked a little troubled. However Jaden didn't want to wait and climbed up on the arena. 

”Hey you there!” screamed Jaden ”Why did you bring us here!”. The guy got up from his throne and Jaden had a feeling he looked angry. 

”This is not how you should address an egyptian Pharaoh!” He said angry. 

”Um Pharaoh!” asked Jaden confused. His friends looked confused too. 

”Now I know where I have seen him before!” said Tara really loud ”He looks like the picture Banner showed us in class today! Abidos the third!”. Abidos looked at Tara. 

”Yes I am Abidos!” He said and grinned ”And you two girls down there, would look beautiful as one of my palace girls. Don't you think!”. 

”Yuck!” said Alexis and Tara in union and Alexis continued ”Who in the world do you think you are anyway!”. Jaden could see his sister nodded. 

”Yeah!” screamed Jaden ”Alexis and my sister is not for your amusement!”. 

”And don't forget!” screamed Zane angry and placed his arms around Tara. ”Tara is my girlfriend! I already lost her to one shadow rider! I don't ever want that again!”. Jaden saw that Tara's face turned tomato red and grinned inside. Zane was a little over protective here. 

”So he is a shadow rider!” screamed Chazz angry ”After our keys i presume!”. 

”That's right!” said Abidos ”So just leave your keys here! You don't want to duel me!”. Jaden smiled really bright and was waving around with his hand. 

”Oh, Oh I do! I do!” He screamed. The others just facepalmed. Even Abidos sweatdropped a little. 

”Okay Jaden!” screamed Tara in the background ”You show him brother!”. She tossed Jaden a duel disk. He smiled at her, and the duel began. 

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara facepalmed just like the others, when Jaden challenged Abidos. He was such an idiot sometimes! However Tara already knew that Jaden was gonna challenge Abidos. He loved strong opponents, and therefore had Tara tossed Syrus's duel disk at Jaden from Syrus's backpack. She of course asked if it was okay first. Jaden and Abidos started the duel. 

Jaden: 4000Lp.

Abidos: 4000Lp. 

Abidos started off. He played the monster ”Pharaonic protector” in def mode and ended his turn with a facedown. The other looked confused. A monster with 0 def points. What was that all about? Jaden drew. Abidos activated his trap card ”The first sarcophagus”. They all looked confused. Jaden summoned ”Avian” to the field, equipped a spell card called ”H – heated heart.” to Avian. Avian gained 500 more att. He then attacked Abidos's monster. Because of the spell card, Jaden gave Abidos piercing damage. Abidos activated ”The first sarcophagus” and got the spell ”Second sarcophagus” on the field. He then drew and activated another spell ”Tribute to the doom!” and by discarding a card from his hand, he destroyed Jaden's monster. He then summoned the monster ”Pharaoh's servant” to the field, and attacked Jaden directly. Jaden groaned in pain, when he felt the spear from the monster, hit his body. 

”Jaden!” screamed Tara concerned ”Are you okay!”. 

”Yeah yeah!” screamed Jaden back ”Don't worry sis, I can take him!”. Abidos laid down a facedown and ended his turn. Jaden's turn. He used the spell ”E - emergency call” and could now take a hero from his deck and add it to his hand. Jaden summoned the monster. It was ”Sparkman”. Then jaden played the spell ”R – righteous Justice” and for every hero Jaden had out, he could destroy a facedown. Jaden chose Abidos's ”First sarcophagus”, however Abidos had a trap ready called ”Magic Jammer”. He discarded a card and then destroyed Jaden's spell. However Jaden still attacked with Sparkman and dealt Abidos a lot of damage. Abidos fell to the floor and was angry like a little kid. 

”You can't attack me!” He screamed. Jaden and the others looked confused. 

”Um sure he can!” said Tara confused. ”That's how the game is!”. Abidos looked at Tara. Suddenly Tara fell to the floor. She had grabbed her head. She could hear Jaden scream something in the background to Abidos, but soon she couldn't see hear anything. Suddenly she saw a picture inside her head. It was a flashback!!

”I attack with sinister serpent!” could Tara hear and saw suddenly a match between Abidos and his servants?! Tara couldn't believe what she saw?! She was in the past? Or was this a memory? Tara saw Abidos attack another servant in a duel and he won again. And again, and again. However the way he was playing, was like a newbie! Tara also saw a picture of Abidos's servants, talking to each other. They didn't look happy!

”I am sick or tired of losing to that spoiled brat over and over again!” said one of the servants, and sighed. The others all nodded. 

”But if we don't, He will properly feed us to his lions!” another one said. The other gulped. 

”Let's just make sure he wins!” a servant said, and all his men agreed. 

”Tara! Tara!” could Tara suddenly hear someone say and she returned to the reality. Zane was kneeling down beside her, and he looked really worried. All the friends looked worried, noticed Tara and sighed. 

”Um I am okay!” Tara said and Zane sighed relieved. 

”Tara what happened!” Zane asked and helped her up on her feet again. Tara was trying to shake the pictures out of her head. 

”I don't know!” She said ”When suddenly Abidos looked at me, I think I saw his memory or something! I saw Abidos win over and over, however his servants only let him win!”. The others looked confused. Jaden looked at Abidos. 

”Is that true!” asked Jaden, Abidos. Abidos sighed. 

”Well I think that is true!” Abidos said ”But I don't know how the girl saw me and my mens memory through!”. Tara saw Jaden look at her. A little bit after he shrugged.

”I don't know!” Jaden replied ”But does that really matter! The important is that you never actually had a real duel right!”. Abidos shook his head. Jaden grinned. 

”Then let this be your first official duel!” Jaden said and grinned ”And by doing so, you have to let go of his mask!”. Abidos took of his mask. Jaden played a facedown and ended his turn. It was Abidos's turn. Tara and the others sighed. Way the go brother, Tara thought and grinned a little. Pepping up a Shadow rider! However Tara couldn't understand why she was able to see Abidos's memories. She shrugged a little. Maybe she never will find out! However what was important right now, was cheering on Jaden! Everything else could wait. They all were so focusing on the duel, that they didn't notice the light who was coming from Banner. From the awake and confused Banner, and his book in his pocket. 

The duel continued. Abidos activated his trap ”First sarcophagus” and could now summon the third one. He sacrificed everyone of his sarcophagus's so that he could summon ”Spirit of the Pharaoh!”. The monster's eff activated and Abidos could now summon 4 zombie servants to the field. Abidos drew. However Jaden activated a trap called ”Invincible hero”. In this turn only, Jaden's sparkman couldn't get destroyed. However Abidos just grinned. He played a spell card ”Thousand Energy”. Every lv 2 monster on the field gained 1000 att. Jaden was now in trouble. Tara didn't think, she only acted. She rushed toward Jaden and climbed up to the field. Her brother got hit with damage from two of the servants, but Tara shielded Jaden from the two others. She couldn't have he got hurt. Not like that time with Nightshroud. She felt the pain from the spears. 

”Sis what are you doing up here? In the middle of the duel!”. Jaden asked worried. 

”Um helping!” Tara answered. ”I don't want you to get hurt!”. However Abidos was not finished with the attacks. Tara grabbed Jaden's hand and they both felt the pain from the last attack. Abidos used the spell card ”Soul guide” and gained life points equal too his 4 zombies. Tara could hear the others scream at her. They wanted her to leave the duel. They didn't want to get hurt. Tara sighed and was about to leave, but Jaden didn't let go of her hand. 

”I know you wanna duel too!” Jaden said and grinned ”So wanna continue the duel together with me!”. Tara grinned. 

”Sure!” She said. They both drew. Jaden grinned at the card they had drawn. Tara grinned too. 

”I summon ”clayman” in att mode!” said Jaden. Tara grinned a took one card from Jaden's hand. 

”And then I play ”O – Oversoul” and we got Avian back!” Tara said. Abidos was not impressed. They were only 3 weak monsters. However they both activated the spell ”Hero flash”. They could summon ”Burstinatrix” from their hand and then all the hero's could attack Abidos directly. They all turned into 4 different colors and Abidos's life points returned to zero. Jaden had won the duel. Tara highfived Jaden. Jaden complimented Abidos for this sweet duel! However suddenly Abidos grabbed Jaden's hand. Tara rushed to his side. 

”It was a really sweet duel!” Abidos said and smiled ”However it would be too bad to end it with only one match, don't you think!”. Jaden grinned. 

”So you want a rematch!” Jaden asked. Tara looked confused as well. 

”No Jaden, I want you to come with me!” Abidos asked. Jaden scratched his hair. 

”Um no I could never leave my sister!” began Jaden. Tara smiled. However Abidos suddenly also grabbed Tara's hand. 

”I understand!” He said ”However your sister is welcome to join us too. So what do you say! I can give you a world of fame, fortune and power!”. Tara could hear their friends scream in the background. 

”Sweet!” screamed Chazz ”Then I will get Jaden's room, and Tara will disappear too!”. Alexis and Syrus was screaming Jaden's name and was saying, that he couldn't leave them. Tara looked at Zane. He looked calm, however he was coughing a lot and Banner was hitting him on the back. Tara looked at Jaden.

”You shall decide!” She said and smiled. Jaden grinned. 

”Sorry Abidos!” said Jaden and they both took their hands back. ”But I want to stay at duel academy some more! Together with my friends and sister! But if you ever are in the neighborhood, just call!”. Abidos smiled and gave Jaden his Shadow charm. He returned them back to the school again and disappeared. Jaden and co, began walking back to the school. Banner was standing on a hill and looked at them. 

”Jaden beware!” He said out loud ”Soon you will face your true test! And as for your sister, she is kind of remarkable! She could activate my shadow book without even realising it! I must keep a close eye on both of them!”. Banner began walking down towards the slifer dorm.
