Chapter 6: Oops...
"You must be kidding!" Jin said, surprised, "I cannot take you up on that bet."
"You can't, or you won't?" Namjoon asked smugly, "Are you afraid that it might happen?"
Jin puffed his cheeks. What was Namjoon getting at? Had he forgotten that was how he met Minyu? It is . . . exactly . . . the same, "I will never fall in love with one of my co-stars."
Namjoon was grinning at him now, "Oh? So take the bet, Jin."
"What will happen if I win the bet?" Jin asked and leaned forward on his elbows.
"If you win the bet, I will not meddle in your life or try to set you up with anyone," Namjoon stated, still keeping the grin on his face.
"Then what if I lose?" Jin asked in a soft voice.
"You won't be losing, will you? I mean - you will have a happy ending." Namjoon said in a matter-of-fact tone, "But . . . If you do lose-" Namjoon paused for a dramatic effect, "Then your movie 'You Have Melted My Heart' should be your bio-movie."
Jin leaned backwards in his chair - and blinked - he was about to lift his arms in a gesture to Namjoon to show him his idea was absurd when he heard a crash of plates.
His right arm had connected with the plates that Yuna was carrying. When he turned his head around slowly, he was met with the waitress girl who was covered from her face - dripping on her shirt and stopped at her waist.
Jin stood up, "I am so sorry." He started rummaging through his pockets for a handkerchief.
Namjoon tried to hide his laughter behind his hand. He was enjoying Jin making a fool of himself this time.
Yuna stood there and stared at him through the sauce - dripping down her face. The plates were on the ground in pieces. She felt the sauce from the ribs trickling down her cheek and neck. A shiver went down her spine.
How was she going to keep a straight face? Jin let out an 'ah' and produced the handkerchief from his pocket, "I will pay for the food."
His hand reached out - and he wiped the sauce from her face. Yuna could feel her cheeks heating, "It is alright . . . accidents happen all the time."
Jin shook his head, "It is at least what I can do by giving you a hard time . . . that you didn't deserve."
Yuna blinked. Seokjin was apologizing for how she was acting around him? Okay, she had tried her best, but . . . He was her crush - after all.
"I should be the one who should-" She paused as Jin took her hand and placed the handkerchief in her hand.
"I will pay for the dry cleaning."
Namjoon picked up his coffee cup - and took another sip. 'This is entertaining.'
"Sir, it is unnecessary for -"
"I insist on paying for the cleaning and the damages - that . . . I have caused you," Jin said quickly.
This man is not letting her finish any of her sentences. "Can you please let me finish-"
Jin was not listening, and he opened his jacket to produce his wallet, "How much-"
Yuna stomped her foot - and threw the handkerchief towards him, "You should let the other person finish their sentences!"
Jin looked up - the handkerchief had fallen from his face, "I was only trying to be polite, Miss."
"You were being a jerk and polite all at once!" Yuna's voice raised a little, "I am trying to tell you something, but you are ignoring me!"
"Ignoring you? I haven't ignored you - I am just insisting as I have made this mess . . . and you are hammering on-"
Yuna grabbed a vase full of flowers on the table from the left and threw the water with flowers on Jin, "Hammering, am I? I am trying to tell you that - but you keep interrupting me!"
Namjoon snorted coffee through his nose. Jin stood there . . . flabbergasted, the water dripping from his hair over his face to his expensive suit, "You are taking this out of proportion."
She did not know where this anger came from, "I am not taking this out of proportion! I simply-"
Why was she defending herself? He wasn't going to listen, and this would continue back and forth between them . . . so she took off her apron and threw it on the ground, "I am not even a waitress here. I have only helped my brother out - occasionally, and it looks like my shift is finished."
He is infuriating! she screamed inwardly. She turned around and stormed from the restaurant. What she did not understand was why she was reacting this way.
Jin turned to Namjoon, "What on earth just happened here?"
Namjoon hung with one arm on the table with laughter, "You have been dealt with what you gave out, Jin."
Jungkook had heard the crash, 'Please, no.' He got up from his office chair, walked to the door, and pressed his ear to the door.
He could hear the voices, sighing inwardly, 'Yuna . . . not again.'
He opened the door - Yuna was not in sight, and his eyes fell on the two customers, where one was sitting doubled over and the one standing, dripping wet.
"I was trying to be nice," Jin said in a small voice.
"You were kind of ignoring her, Jin," Namjoon said, wiping the tears of laughter from his eyes.
"I wasn't," Jin said and picked up his handkerchief from the floor and placed it on the table.
He sat down. He was still surprised at how the incident had unfolded. Namjoon had stopped laughing, "Yes, you were - I must say she was handling you very well."
Jin was about to answer when a figure towered over them, "I am so sorry about what happened, "I will bring you food in the house."
Namjoon stopped him, "It is alright. It was his fault completely, and he would be . . . paying for your damages."
Jungkook did not know how to reply - he was used to Yuna's outbursts and making promises. "You will?" he turned to Jin and asked.
"Yes," Jin took out his wallet, "Will you make sure the lady gets this? I have ruined her shirt."
Jin took out a few twenties and held it to Jungkook, "I am sorry I have made your employee leave."
Jungkook took the money - only then - he registered who was sitting in front of him . . . Yuna's crush!
He was going to have one hell of a field day with this, "I will make sure she gets this. Thank you."
Jin nodded and got up - Namjoon followed suit, "We will come by again soon."
Jungkook bowed as they left his restaurant and went to Nimue, "Spill the beans."
Yuna did not care that her apartment was far from the restaurant and that the people were staring at her ruined blouse. "Why didn't he - give me a chance to finish one sentence?" She mumbled out loud.
She kept walking, placed her hand in her pocket, and felt the audition pamphlet. She slowly pulled it out, "I think I should just skip this."
She passed a dustbin and threw it inside, "I should just be what Mom and Dad want me to be."
She walked away, "How could I make such a fool of myself!" She said in frustration.
Not all of her feelings appeared in chronological order, so she was having her small outbursts at random.
Her cell phone rang, startling her, and she fished it out of her pocket - she did not bother to see who was calling when she answered, "Hello?"
"Why did you leave so suddenly?" Jungkook's smug voice came over the receiver.
