I'm sorry I haven't posted in forever I just haven't had any motivation in this story rn. But I will update a lot of chapters right now for y'all

Millie's POV

I woke up to see nobody next to me. I open the curtain separating the bed, and see nobody is in the camper either. I get up and walk outside, to see everyone by the fire, sitting around. I think Caleb was making breakfast over the fire?

"Good morning sleepyhead," Sadie said, and everyone laughed. I looked around, and saw the sun above us.

"What time is it?" I asked, unaware of any sort of time.

"It's 12:00. We've been up for an hour or two, but we let you sleep. You had a looooong night," Lilia said, teasing me along with everyone else.

"Shut the fuck up," I said, causing them to laugh as I sat down in an open lawn chair by the fire. We just continued to talk as Caleb made breakfast for us, and we decided we were going to swim today.

We all walked down to the beach, Caleb and Gaten running towards the water. We all ran in and just messed around and had fun. They brought water stuff to use in the water, so we were throwing the frisbee around, Caleb occasionally dunking Sadie underwater, then Sadie calling him a shithead.

I felt like I wasn't actually there, like I was in another reality. That's how I feel some days. I can't really help it. And I feel bad about it, because sometimes I can't enjoy the good times in life.

I got distracted by my thoughts to someone dunking me underwater, and they laughed.

"You wanna fight?" I asked, and Noah laughed.

"Yes actually," he said, and I jumped on him and dunked him under, everyone starting to dunk each other. I started laughing, smiling.

Sometimes I just need the people around me to remind me where I'm at and what I'm feeling. They don't know they do it, but they do.

Finn hasn't really talked to me. There's no reason for him to talk to me anyway, I don't know why I'm thinking about it.

"What else do you guys want to do today?" Sadie asked, and nobody had any ideas.

"We should go for a little hike!!" Lilia said, and some of the boys groaned.

"Shut up were doing it, no complaining," Sadie said, and the girls laughed. I love hiking. I get to see the beauty of nature.

We've been hiking for about 5 minutes, and the boys are already complaining.

"It's so hot," Gaten said, Caleb agreeing.

"Shut up, we're going to reach the top of the hill and we'll get a great view!" Maddie said, and dragged Gaten along. I saw Lilia and Noah in the back holding hands, and laughing at something the other said. I'm happy for them.

We made the rocky climb up to the hill, and looked at the view. You could mostly see trees lower than our perspective, and you could see a singular road behind it, probably just one car driving on it. The sky was blue, and the clouds looked like cotton candy. It was beautiful.

One of the happy parts of my life is nature. I love watching how it lives life. It's beautiful without trying, or trying to please someone. It's natural.

I'll race you down!" Noah said to Caleb, so they started running down. We all laughed, as they tried to run on the downhill with the rocks and roots sticking everywhere.

We all started to walk down, and I caught myself staring at the trees around me. They're about to bloom from the warm weather, but they haven't officially bloomed. I think it's beautiful.

I wasn't watching where I was walking, which caused me to roll my right ankle on a tree root and fall over, in pain. I screamed, actually.

"Millie!! What happened? What's wrong?" Sadie ran over, kneeling down.

"I think I twisted my ankle. Shit." I said, trying to stand up. I stepped on it, and I immediately started to fall again. But Finn caught me before I fell.

"I'll help her down. Just get ice, we'll meet you down there." He said to Sadie, and she nodded and caught up with the others and told them to get ice.

Finn put his arm around my waist and I put mine over his shoulder, and he helped me walk the rest of the way down.

"I'm surprised you're not screaming in pain," he said, and I chuckled.

"I know what real pain is." I said, and flinched when I took my next step. He helped me the rest of the way down, my foot aching in pain. It feels like I need to pop something in it, but I can't.

Finn got me to a chair, and helped me sit down. Sadie grabbed the ice, and set my foot up on another chair with the ice.

"I really don't know how it happened." I said, and she shrugged.

"It was really rocky up here. At least you got a nice view though," she said, making both of us laugh.

"You should probably ice it for a while." She said, and I nodded.

"You guys can go do something, I'll be fine here." I said, and she furrowed her eyebrows.

"You're sure?" She asked, and I nodded.

"Goooo!" I said, pushing her. She laughed, and ran off to find everyone. I tried to distract myself by going on my phone for a bit.

"How does it feel?" Finn asked, sitting next to me in another chair.

"It's okay. I think I just need to ice it, and it'll be fine." I said, and he nodded. It's dark now, I can hear the crickets chirping. It's a little cold, too.

"Are you cold? I can grab you a jacket or something." He said, and I shook my head.

"I'll be okay." I said, and apparently he didn't believe me because he took off his sweatshirt and gave it to me. I was thinking he would give me my own jacket, but okay.

"I don't need it." I said, and he shook his head.

"You have goosebumps everywhere and you're practically shaking. Put it on, it's probably warmer than a jacket in your bag." He said, and I obliged. He was right, it is warm. I like it warm. It's cozy.

"Well you need a jacket too." I told him, and he shook his head no.

"I do fine in the cold. I don't get cold easily." He said, and I nodded. He oddly does do fine in the cold. Soon enough, everyone ran over to the fire to hang out. Caleb started the fire, immediately making the air warmer around us.

"Wow Finn what a gentleman, giving Millie your hoodie." Caleb said, and he gave Caleb the finger. I tried to hold back a blush, if that's possible.

We all just sat around the fire and talked. Specifically about life. Things we haven't told each other before. Even Finn said a little bit.

"It's getting late, I'm gonna go in." I said, getting up and immediately not being able to stand on my foot without pain. I groaned, and Finn immediately stood up.

"Need help?" He asked, and I shook my head no. He nodded, and sat back down. His hoodie is so long it goes past my shorts, not visible anymore.

"Goodnight everyone," I said, and they said goodnight. I walked in the camper and put on some fuzzy socks, and changing into pajama shorts. I left the hoodie on. I like the smell. And I like the cozy ness of it. I took my medicine, then checked my phone again. I realized I had 6 missed calls from Jacob, and 28 text messages from him.

What are you doing?
Miss you ;)
Can't wait to see you
And feel you
You better not be doing anything bad
I'm so bored
Pick up the damn phone
You're ignoring me now?
You'll pay

And so on. I tried to ignore it, and went to sleep.

Sadie's POV

"So you're not going to admit your feelings for her?" Caleb said to Finn, and Finn furrowed his eyebrows.

"Who?" He asked, and everyone chuckled.

"Millie, dumbass." Maddie said, and Finn rolled his eyes.

"I don't have feelings for her." He said, and everyone doubted it.

"Well she has two of your jackets, and you've slept in the same bed how many times? Sounds like feelings to me," Maddie said, and Finn got annoyed.

"Well she has a boyfriend. We sleep next to each other as friends." He said, avoiding the feelings talk.

"So you do like her? You never said you didn't have feelings for her!" Lilia said, and Finn shook his head.

"No, I don-

"No lies!! We figured it out!!" I interrupted, everyone getting up and cheering and dancing, trying to get Finn to dance with us. He was over it.

"I don't have feelings for her. I'm done with the talk. Goodnight." He said, walking into the camper, pissed. We all laughed silently as he was out of sight. We were just teasing.

I wake up immediately from the screaming next to me, almost having a fucking heart attack. It's Millie, she's screaming in her sleep.

I immediately see the curtains open, Finn up and alert from the screaming to.

"What the hell?" He said, then realizing it's Millie. His eyes widen, and he tries to get on the bed, but I move in the spot where he was gonna move, and try to wake Millie up. I shook her arm, then her shoulders. She's screaming help.

She suddenly wakes up, and can't breathe. I try to pull her into a hug, but she screams and backs away from me. Finn nudges me a little bit to the side, and gets on the bed.

"Millie, it's okay, breathe okay?" He said, and her eyes are darting everywhere. There's tears streaming down her cheeks, and I hear Caleb and Maddie come over to see what's up.

"Millie? Mills it's okay," Maddie said, trying to help her and put her hand on her knee to comfort her, but she ends up screaming and backing into the wall, still sobbing.

"Millie, it's me, it's Finn. Look at me." I hear Finn say, and they make eye contact as she's crying. He puts his hand in her hand, and I look down to see the bruises on her wrist. What the hell? When did that get there?

We hear people coming in the camper, from Sadie's camper. They come to see what's wrong, but Finn turns around and screams at them.

"Everyone back up! Just fucking back up okay!" He said, scaring the shit out of all of us, making us back up a couple feet. He turns back around to Millie, and eventually she lets him hug her, him saying little stuff to her to try and calm her down. I can see her body shaking, Finn trying to comfort her.

We all don't know what to do, and look at each other in confusion. We all shrug, and look at Finn calming her down. How the hell did he calm her down? She wouldn't even let me touch her.

"Go back to your camper. I've got it." Finn said sternly, and the guys and girls ran back to their camper, Maddie and Caleb went to their bed.

After a couple minutes, I look at Finn and he looks back at me, Millie in his arms, hugging him. I can't see her face, but I can see his.

"Do you need help?" I asked, and he shook his head no.

"She fell asleep." He said, still holding her in the hug they were having a couple minutes ago.

"What.....happened?" I asked, and he shook his head.

"I don't know. I think I know, but I can't do anything till I know completely. Promise me you won't say a word." He said, and I nodded, and promised. He's never acted this way. He really cares.

"I..I think somethings happening to Millie." Finn said quietly, not waking her up, and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What do you mean?" I asked, and he started rubbing her back.

"Someone's been using her. Sexually." He said, and my heart dropped. Would that make sense? What if it is, and I didn't notice earlier?

"Like who?" I asked, and he looked down.

"Jacob?" He asked, and my eyes widened.

"You think?" I ask, questioning his theory. What if it's true?

"The way she's been acting. The flinching every time someone touches her. Her skipping lunch. Jacob randomly gaining so much muscle in a little bit of a time span then randomly becoming Millie's boyfriend. She's not happy, Sade. I can tell." He said, and everything that he said is coming back to me. It's true. But what is he doing to her? If he's doing anything?

"Check her phone." I said, and he looked at me like I was crazy.

"That's snooping." He said, and I shook my head.

"If we want to see what Jacob is doing to her, their texts might show something." I said, and he nodded. He slowly put Millie into the bed, and he handed me the phone. I know her password, she knows I know.

I go to her texts with Jacob, and Finn moves over next to me as we both look.

Wear your sweater with leggings today, you'll look hot.

Come over now. I want you.

Meet me after history. We have some company.

God Millie, I just want to feel you everywhere, all night long. All you have to do is say yes.

Wear the red underwear.

Come to my house tonight. It'll be an experience you won't forget.

We stop looking, and looking at each other. We both know now. I put Millie's phone back on the desk, and see Finns head in his hands.

"Finn it's okay, we will do something about it." I said, and he looked up at me. I saw tears in his eyes. One going down his cheek. I've never seen Finn cry.

"You know how long this has been going on Sadie? A month. Probably longer. She hasn't spoken up. She's fucking suffering, and we haven't helped her. Probably with more guys than Jacob, if he's talking about fucking company. I'm horrible. I'm fucking horrible," he said, and started sobbing into his hands. I hug him, trying to help calm him down.

"We'll figure it out, Finn, we'll help her."
