Chapter Eleven ][ Code Orange

I stared in awe at the mansion.
It was huge, white and decorated with big windows. Probably trice the size of our own house, and considering we're too rich, that's saying something. Not only was the house magnificent, but the gigantic backyard and woods surrounding also belonged to them.
To be able to afford something as pricey as this, they had to be loaded.
"Do you live here alone?" I asked as Comrade was the first to step out after me, followed by Lorentz and Potts.
Comrade/Darth Vader shook his head. "No", he answered. "The whole gang shares the places."
'I don't think his name is Darth Vader', Ce said.
I shrugged at her comment, whatever. I focused back at Comrade again, "How many of you is it then?"
"Around fifty", he started, "But we have contacts all over the world. It's an organization of some sort."
I nodded.
While the guys then proceeded to pack some stuff out of the trunk, I took my bag of candy and then casually strolled up to the entrance of the mansion. The door was unlocked and I opened it, going inside. To be an illegal gang, the security seemed to suck.
Walking into the house, I curiously looked around and could only think of one word; wow. The inside was even more beautiful than the outside.
I started examining everything and walking into what appeared to be a huge, modern looking living room. Seated on a big comfy couch, three guys rested, one watching the flat TV, the two others playing card with each other.
I cleared my throat, making my presence known. They looked up, surprised. I waved cheerfully, "Hello boys! You have any idea of where the kitchen is?" I patted my stomach, "I'm pretty hungry."
'Girl, you just ate I don't know how much candy - you really should not be hungry!'
The guys didn't answer me at first, simply staring as if they had never seen a girl before. After some awkward moments in which I waited for them to say something, one of the boys covered in tattoos mutely pointed to a swing door behind the couch.
I smiled politely and thanked them before walking away, eager to get to the kitchen and all the heavenly stuff that came with it. I left the dumbstruck boys behind as I went through the door.
Once in the kitchen, I searched the fridge and rid it of some necessities. The kitchen was just like every other part of the mansion: big. It was modernly designed, with much space to move around and cook food with. I took a place at a table and started opening a pack of pudding.
While in the act of eating, the door suddenly slammed open and a younger guy rushed in. He looked about to be my age, a little older perhaps, his hair brown and his eyes a deep black colour. Seeing me, he stopped and stared.
I waved at him, my mouth still full of food rendering me unable to form coherent words. That isn't to say I didn't try, however.
"Yoh Hoh", translating to, You're hot.
He furrowed his dark eyebrows, looking cute in the confusion as he looked at me.
He regained his composure and asked, "Who are you and what are you doing in my kitchen?" He tried to appear more intimidating by crossing his arms as he stood, looking down at me.
I swallowed the food in my mouth then wiped it discreetly. I smiled brightly and waved away his question with my hand.
"Oh, you know; the usual", I said and chuckled. "Got kidnapped", his eyebrow lifted, "Went to Walmart", his jaw slackened some. I continued, "Created a broccoli composed army and stole some of your food", he dropped his arms to his sides, "Then placed a bomb in the house." His eyes widened as understanding dawned on him and he turned on his heel to rush out of the kitchen.
"Code orange! Code orange!" I could hear him scream and a few moments later, an alarm went off alerting everyone of the so-called "danger". Wow, that was fast, I thought. They might not be the most secure place, but their reaction time was very good. "Everyone out! Bomb!"
I could hear doors open and fast footsteps as everyone hurried to get out of the house. Shouting voices continued to spread the word, but otherwise, it sounded like they were all pretty calm, clearly having practiced and been through the procedure before.
I myself just sat there, eating another pack of that delicious pudding, waiting for the commotion to calm even more. I chuckled.
'I know what you're planning', Ce revealed, half whispering. I was just about to defend myself against her usually mean and unnecessary comments when she continued, 'And I'm totally with you on this.'
We both laughed, quite evilly if I said so myself and I stood up, rubbing my hands together. If I'd had a cat, I would probably pet it evilly.
"Let the fun begin."
