XANDER'S POV

I wake up naturally. My wolf is stirring inside me. I feel his energy of excitement buzzing through my body.

I feel it. It's happening. I push the blanket off of me, careful not wake my mate. I quickly get a flashlight.

Izzy is still sleeping beautifully in bed. I sit next her and run the back of my fingers over her soft cheek. I hate to interrupt her sleep, but she's gotta wake up. I shake her shoulder a little.
"Izzy? Sweetheart?" I said softly.

She stirs in her sleep, but doesn't wake up. I sighed... Looks like this will need something a bit more...erratic.

I grab the the blanket and rip it off her body. Izzy's arms are instantly around her knees.

"Come one Sweetheart get up! You don't want to miss this!" I shouted.

She lifts her bed ridden hair and squints her eyes. All she does is look at me without expression. I chuckle when I saw her confused and irritated expression. Not much of a morning person I'm guessing. She looks at the clock next to her, "It's 3:00 AM YOU ASSHOLE! LET ME SLEEP!" She yells.

I wince, but I don't budge. "I'm sorry baby boo, but I can't let you do that. You'll regret missing out on this...trust me."

She grabs the covers and pulls them over her head, "Well too bad! I'm going back to sleep!" Her shouting sounded muffled with her being so deeply buried under the mass of blankets.

"Get up before I make you get up Izzy!" I warn.

She doesn't move. In fact, I think I hear her snoring. I stomp towards my mate. I yank the blanket off of her, grab her arm, pull her and lift her over my shoulder.
"XANDER!" She screams. Yup, she's awake.

"Put me down this instant!" She yells.

I ignore her whining and shouting. I walk down the stairs and out the door.
"Put me back in bed Xander! Xander are you listening to me? XANDER!!!"

I crack a smile. Oh my mate. You're going to love me later on.

I walk into the darkness of the forest with my squirming Elizabeth on my shoulder.

"You'll thank me later!" I yelled.

"Like HELL I will!!" She screams.

I keep walking through the dark forest. I can see better in the night than a normal human. My wolf enhances my senses, including sight.

I can see the dark green of the bushes and trees all mixing together.
As we get deeper and deeper, the air of the the forest he's more enclosed together. I see vines twisting and turning around the trees, making arches, kind of like a door way.

I bend down low branches, step over huge logs and climb some stairs.
As we get closer and closer, my wolf gets more and more enthusiastic.

"What is that?" Izzy whispers. I knew she'd feel it at some point

"What's what?" I said trying to seem ignorant. 

"Th-That feeling. My wolf is going crazy over it. XANDER! WHERE HAVE YOU TAKEN ME!" She panics.

"Trust me! We're mates aren't we? Just trust me." I said calmly

"It's kind of hard to when kidnap me from my warm bed!" She shouts

"Hush hush mate," I mock.

"Don't you hush-"

"Ssshhh!" I shush. I hear her growl in annoyance, but she crosses her arms in a huff and stays quiet for once.

We keep walking until I hear the sound of water running. We're close.

"You know what?" I said.

"I don't want to know what," Izzy says grumpily.

"New Zealand actually hardly have any kind of population of wolves. We are secret here. However, even though we are secret, a lot of strong packs live here. But there is one that is the oldest pack of them all. They're called 'The Ancients.' They were the first pack in the world. For thousands of years they have been running."

"And what's so special about them?" Izzy asked curiously.

"The Moon Goddess fell in love with their first Alpha. She sacrificed a certain amount of her power to fall into human form."

"Why did she sacrifice her power?"

"Because she had too much power to fit into a human body. So she hid a portion of her power in a flower. However, she could only be in human form for one night"

"And then?"

"They met in the heart of the forest and made love. Because this was her one night with her true love, she blessed the centre of the forest with protection."

"What'd you mean?"

"She put an invisible protection over it, so only two people who are utterly in love can enter. And when they do enter, the heart forest comes to life again as it would have done for the Moon Goddess when she made love to the human man."

"So what happened to the Alpha?"

"He had a son from the moon goddess."

"But how? She only had one night?"

"She raised the spirit of her baby in her sanctuary. Then she turned her baby into a physical being, leaving him on the front doors of her beloved's steps."

"That's why they're so strong? Because they have divine blood running through their veins?"

I nod, "Yup."

"Whoa. What a crazy story."

"Yeah it is. And it's all true."

"I've heard so many true stories lately." She mumbled. I didn't know what she meant by that. Maybe she'll tell me later on about it.

My wolf is going crazy inside me. He has this urge to grab our mate and hold her against us.

As I take a couple of more steps, the sound of water running is loud.
We're here I feel it. I feel the energy of the forest pulsing through me.

"Xander? What is that feeling?"

"It's the forest," I whisper.

I set her on her feet. She stumbles a little, but I hold her close to me.

"Xander I'm scared. Why are we here?" She whispers. Her arms circle around my waist. That act alone triggers a protective streak inside me. I pull her tighter against me.
"Don't be scared, Izzy," I whisper, "Now close your eyes."

"No. I don't want to." She whispers shakily. I can tell that she is fearful. But she's gotta do this.

"Trust me,"I whisper softly.

"But what if-"

I hold her shoulder, "Trust me sweetheart." I try to say sweetly and gently as I can.

She does as I ask and closes her eyes, but she still has a death grip on my shirt.

I turn her around so than she is facing everything. Her back would be to my front.

My hands were over her eyes.
Everything was almost ready. All of the plants come to light with life. All the trees start to glow.
I look behind me. There were lines of trees with little fern bushes that light up in a soft and glowing brightness.
The tree leaves be come a soft neon colour. Everything looks like it's powered by electricity, but it's really just the power of the forest itself.
Behind is a little pond like lake. It look shallow, but it is very deep. Is looks like tropical water with it's aqua blue, but it's actually the floor of the pond. It lit up, creating an illusion of pool lights.

There are thick vines crossing over the pond, acting as a bridge with glowing patches of light. Everything feels so...magical, as cheesy and cliche it sounds. It's the only word that can really describe how I feel. It's just so surreal.

I lower my lips to my mates ear,
"You ready?" I whisper.

She nods hesitantly, "Yes.

"Try to stay calm." I said softly to her ear.

I lift my hands from her eyes.

I smile when I hear Elizabeth's gasp of air. Her eyes are wide and her mouth is open. Her eyes roam every inch of the glowing wonderland.
I find myself smiling at my mate. Seeing her in awe is definitely something to behold.

"What is this." She whispers.

"Welcome to the Wolf Sanctuary, my love."

"So wolves come here?" Her gaze still travelling over the view almost to a likeness of that of a child looking at something brand new.

"Not exactly. Ten mates in total have found this place and only three could enter it."

"Why?"

"Everyone else who tried, failed...because their love wasn't strong enough."

Her gaze finally lands upon me, "So you're saying our love is strong?"

I grasp a good chunk of the material of my shirt that she's wearing and pull to me,
"That's exactly what I'm saying." He whispers.

Elizabeth smiles at me with total adoration. Her eyes twinkle with tears,
"This place is beautiful Xander, thank you for taking me here," she whispers. She wraps her arms around my neck, "I love you."

I hold her waist and press her fully on me. I lay my forehead upon hers and say.
"I've loved you for the past 12 years and I'll love you beyond time."

With that said I press my lips onto her soft and plump ones. She hugs my neck with her arms, pulling me down to her level. But it just resulted in us falling over.

I love the feel of me and my mates bodies together. But the one thing I hate is clothes getting in the way.

A/N Okay this obviously gets quite steamy for all you dirty minded people out there:D

I kiss Izzy more passionately as I start to pull her big shirt up her body. Her breath becomes more laboured as I push the shirt high and higher.

She sits up and raises her hands, giving me permission to take it off which I do.
her torso becomes completely exposed to me. Seeing her in this light...she looked breath-taking.

I lower myself on top of her. I kiss her passionately. I try to open her mouth a little, as if I'm asking for access...and she let's me.

My tongue licks her lips, biting them and tugging them.

Her moans are like music to my ears. They give me pleasure almost.

I kiss down her neck slowly, letting my lips savour her smooth and soft skin.
I go lower and Lower and slower and slower. Making sure there I leave the anticipation.

I kiss down right in between the Valley of her breasts. I find my lips running over the tops of the hills.

I smile when I feel Izzy arch upward to give me more access. My hands run up and down her thighs.

Izzy moans, "Ohh Xander." Her hands weaves through my hair.

Izzy pushes my shoulders back a little.
I stand on my knees as I watch her sit lower. Her beautiful, soft hands run up my legs. They slowly pull down my boxers. But I hold her wrists at bay, "You don't have to do this. I mean...I don't expect you to."

She looks up at me with her big brown doe eyes, "I want to."

"Don't do it just because you feel like you need to repay me." I said seriously.

She stands on her knees and cups my cheeks. My mate lowers her lips onto my own, giving me the softest of kisses, "I want to."

She slowly kisses down my chest and stomach, leaving a trail of hot fire dancing on my skin.

Her silky hands pull my boxers off.  I feel myself come to life at her gentle touch. My chest rises faster and faster as I watch her lowers her head down.

I close my eyes and just feel her going deep and shallow, deep and shallow. A slow pulse of pleasure shoots through my body, making me moan slightly. "Fuck me," I groan. 

 I gently cup the back of her head, giving me a small sense of control.She goes faster and faster. I could feel the pleasure building as if it were climbing a mountain and almost getting to the top.

I gently grab a hold of her shoulders and motion for her to lay down. She cracks a grin on her face. She lays back down on her back. I shuffle closer to her and take her panties off, fully exposing her to me. I sit back for a minute and look at her. She's sitting there in her beautiful body, my necklace still on and surrounded by glowing flowers that do nothing but compliment her beauty. 

I saw her cheeks go pink slightly as she ducks her head down, almost attempting to hide it, "What?" She said a little shyly. 

I smirked, "Just looking."

"At what?"

"At the most beautiful view I have ever seen."

My mates beautiful laugh runs through the air, "I always thought it was the other way around."

I crawl over her. I place my elbows on either side of her face, holding my weight. With my callus hand I brush the hair out of her face, "No," I whisper, "I'm the lucky one. I'm lucky that someone so beautiful and so pure of heart would be with someone like me. Maybe the Moon Goddess really is looking out for me."

Elizabeth just looks at me and right then. Right then, was one of my favourite moment. That moment when she her eyes light up and a look of peace washes over her face.
That is the moment I love most. The moment when the one person you love most in this world, smiles with her heart and soul. And what's even better, is when you're the reason for it.

I slowly enter her My whole body radiating pleasure as we made love. I thrust slowly inside of her making her arch in pleasure. 

"Damn Xander," Izzy said breathlessly,  "You sure have stamina."

I chuckle, "I can't help but keep wanting my mate."

We lay there on the soft glowing floor for a while with Elizabeth at my side.
I feel her breath even out in her sleep. I quickly get my boxers on and then slowly pick Izzy up in my arms. I use my shirt to cover her up. We then walked back home.

After a few minutes of walking, the house come into view. I go inside and up the stairs.

I lay my mate in bed, climbing in behind her. Just as I pull the covers over us, the sun peaks over the mountains.

I sigh as I pull my mate closer to me. I have a weird feeling inside me. Something I haven't felt in years. It's not the full feeling, but I feel like I'm almost there. I almost feel...peaceful.
