NOTES: more sean stuff was requested by dragonsoffiction :-)

__________
Sean was a very tactile and affectionate person. He had the affinity to be touchy with some people, and you were not an exception. In fact, you were more like a prime example.
He couldn't exactly go up to Hank and hug him; that was too awkward. Alex didn't like being touched (even if he did, you didn't think he'd put Sean at the top of his list). Raven just intimidated him in general. And Charles and Erik were his superiors, so that was ruled out, too. He'd tried with everyone, but they didn't appreciate or care for it much.
That left you.
Sean was constantly touching you in some way, and most of the time, he didn't really notice he was doing it. If you were honest, it was such a normal thing at that point, that you didn't notice sometimes, either.
It could be something as simple as wrapping his arm around your shoulder when you sat on a couch together. Or brushing your hands and shoulders when you walked side-by-side.
When he let you through a door before him, he'd guide you inside, his hand on the small of you back. He'd place a hand on your knee when you had dinner at the large table in the dining room.
You didn't object to any of these things, of course. You liked Sean a lot, and the attention from him was not tolerated, but appreciated.
The first time he got like that with you, he was really hesitant, making sure you were absolutely okay with him touching you. It started with his hand brushing yours, and when you looked over at him, he was smiling at you sheepishly. Despite the blush on your cheeks, you said, "Its okay, Sean." And with that, he slipped his fingers between yours.
The next few times that he did anything similar, he'd continue to ask your permission, until one day you finally spoke to him about it. "Sean . . . you don't have to ask every time. I'm comfortable. I like it." You told him gently.
He nodded unsurely, eyes flickering down for a moment, and then back up to you. "Fine. . . but you have to tell me if I'm making you uncomfortable, okay?"
"Okay." You promised, and before a second thought crossed your mind, you leant over to rest your head on his shoulder.
You never did have to say anything to him.
As of right then, the two of you were in the common room (a usual place for you guys, since two people being alone in a room together generally started rumours in the mansion - you'd gone through that with Alex). You were sitting, reading a book, while Sean's head rested gently in your lap.
He was asleep, and you thought it was pretty cute. In the beginning, you were reading to him, but by the time you got two chapters in, he'd already dozed off. He tended to mumble in his sleep, too; no coherent words, just whispers and murmurs.
As you got to the fifth chapter, he started to become restless in his sleep, twisting and turning so that he buried his face in your lower abdomen with a light groan, nose brushing your cotton t-shirt, and arms languidly wrapping around your torso. Your heart fluttered at the movement, and you couldn't help but smile fondly down at him, having to shift your book. Your one hand went to run gently through his red curls, while the other held what you were reading, still.
A few silent moments passed, until you hear something that was definitely coherent. "Mmm, love you . . ." He barely said. ". . . (Y/n/n)."
You tried not to let out a little laugh, your cheeks filling with a subtle blush at his words. Even if he was sleeping, even if it was a dream, you allowed your face to stretch into a smile.
__________
Sean allowed you to tuck yourself beneath his shoulder, his arm resting against you slightly as he played with your hair, soft strands separating and becoming tangled over and over again.
"All I'm saying is, that MacGyver would've never been able to fly out of that place in that thing," He gesticulated with his free hand, his words quiet and slurred with tiredness despite how adamantly he was trying to get his point across.
You hummed in reply, eyes drifting open and closed. "Whatever, Sean. If you can use your screams to fly, then I'm sure he can get away with that."
He sighed out, giving up because he knew that you just were being stubborn for the sake of it. "Right," He concluded, shifting so that he sunk more into the couch, his hand stilling in your hair as he rested his cheek against your head.
There was a moment of silence that was almost customary for the two of you, before your sleepy voice broke him from his thoughtless reverie.
"Why do you always hold onto me? Not that I mind . . . just wanted to know if it was a thing . . ."
"Well, I don't think Alex would particularly appreciate - "
"You know that's not what I mean." You tilted your head slightly, and met his line of sight. He was already looking down at you, perplexed, and clearly trying to form a coherent thought with you looking at him so expectantly, beautiful eyes trained on him.
"I . . ." He furrowed his eyebrows, before finally saying, "You're fun to touch." He seemed convinced with his words after he said them, lips twitching at your stunned expression that followed.
You could feel your face become hot for a moment, before you mirrored his growing smile. "Thanks . . . I guess." You loved Sean so much, and over and over again he proved himself worthy of that love. He was constantly doing and saying things that took your breath away without even trying.
He said nothing in reply, instead pulling you back into his side again, and leaving a gentle kiss on the top of your head.
