Anna glanced up from the magazine she was reading when the pacing sounds of Robin's footsteps, going back and forth on the hardwood floor began distracting her. She let out a loud sigh and placed the magazine next to her on the couch, staring at him with displeasure.

"Robin, I'm sure they are probably on their way back" She murmured then Robin slowed his pacing and darted his gaze to her, his expression sliding into a frown.

"Its almost three pm, what could he be possibly be doing with Harry for them to be late?" He said with a hint of annoyance.

"The same thing you did with Anna last night" James replied, without looking up from the newspaper he was reading and sipped his tea.

Anna blushed then Robin rolled his eyes and glanced at James, who was sitting opposite his wife. "Dad, I'm serious, he left with Harry since last night and they're still not back yet" He grumbled.

James lowered the newspaper, staring at Robin with raised eyebrow. "Have you seen Liam or Niall since last night?" He asked, then Robin opened his mouth to retort but quickly clamped his lips shut again.

"How come you haven't asked about their whereabouts?"

Robin shrugged, emitting a soft breath and decided to say something to justify his actions. "Well... Liam and Niall are here in the house while Zayn and Harry are somewhere in the woods"

James shook his head, and lowered his eyes back to what he was reading, then Robin released a frustrated sigh and plopped down beside Anna. He cleared his throat and changed the topic. "I've called the house, Louis and Luke will be here shortly for dinner"

James nodded. "Good, hopefully Zayn and Harry will be back by then, so we can all sit down and discuss this matter once and for all, and put it behind us"

Suddenly they heard footsteps approaching the door of the living room, then Yaser entered, and a slight smirk appeared at the corners of his lips when he noticed the scowl on Robin's face. "Still waiting for Zayn and Harry?" He asked, with amusement laced in his voice.

Robin shot him a flat look, earning a chuckle from Yaser as he sat next to James on the couch. "It might probably take days before we see them again" He murmured.

"What do you mean?" A surprise look flashed Anne's face.

Yaser noticed the nervousness in her voice and gave her an assuring smile.

"Newly mated wolves are like rabbits. So there is a possibility Zayn and Harry might not come home yet" He explained.

"Oh" Anna blushed again, clearing her throat.

"Why wasn't I informed about this yesterday?" Robin grumbled in a low tone.

"So you wouldn't stop them from going out and start working on giving me great grandchildren" James replied with a duh tone, causing Anna to giggle.

"Don't worry Robin, I'm sure Zayn will bring Harry back today. He has better control of his inner wolf in this case" Yaser said with a soft chuckle at the end of the sentence.

"I just want everyone to be here when Louis and Luke come over, like my Dad said, so we can all settle this issue once and for all" Robin sighed.

"I think it's better we talk to Louis alone first, and explain everything to him before he meets everyone" Anna suggested, rubbing soothing circles on Robin's back and everyone nodded, agreeing to what she said.

When Louis and Luke arrived at the pack house, Robin took Louis for a walk, in the garden behind the house for them to talk. They ended up sitting on a bench, in the middle of garden, beside the fountain as Robin confessed to him. After Robin finished talking, Louis was stunned and speechless for a long moment as his brain tries to digest everything Robin had just told him.

"Wow, that's a lot to take in" He murmured in a low tone, his eyes glued to the fountain in front of him.

"I'm sorry" Robin sighed softly, his eyes clouded with guilt and regret.

"Please don't let this ruin your friendship with Liam" He whispered, his voice full of concern and fear.

"He didn't want to be part of my plans initially but when he realized you liked Harry, he gave in" 

"To Liam, it was like killing two birds with one stone, a win-win for everyone. You liked Harry and we wanted you to be part of the family not only because of your genetics but also because, your feelings for my youngest son are sincere and genuine"

"You are the whole package of a husband material we've always wanted for Harry"

Louis emitted a loud breathe and leaned back in the bench, as a pained expression came over his face. "I don't know what to say" He whispered lowly.

"I feel betrayed"

Robin was filled with deep remorse and shame, when he saw the hurt in Louis eyes. "I know what we did is unforgivable but please, find a place in your heart to forgive us"

"I thought being a werewolf was a cruse, I didn't want my grandchildren to go through what I did during my childhood. I wanted them to have the perfect normal human life, Harry and Liam never had"

"I had no idea on how to control the animal within us so I depended on the suppressants my grandfather taught me. Harry and Liam were taking those pills throughout their childhood"

Robin took a deep breath and continued. "Liam had always wanted to play football in school, but I didn't let him. Even though he was on suppressants. I didn't want to risk it"

"You should have seen the look on his face when I finally explained to him why he couldn't do any physical activity which might trigger his wolf and expose what we are"

"It broke him" Robin whispered sadly, lowering his gaze to the ground.

His words triggered Louis memories as he recalled the look on Liam's face in their sophomore year, during the tryouts for the school team. He knew Liam loved football, it was his passion but for some reason Liam didn't tryout for the team that day or the subsequent years. He did ask Liam why he didn't join the team but Liam made up some excuse, that he was focusing on his grades to get into a good university since he was to take over the company when his father retires.

But what Liam didn't know was that Louis had caught him multiple times in the school parking lot, crying in his car after each game.

Louis brows kitted into a deep frown and glanced at Robin. "I can't imagine what you and your family had to go through all these years, the constant fear of someone finding out your secret and exposing all of you"

Robin let out a shaky breathe and wiped the tear trickling down his cheek. "Sometimes I blame myself for bringing my children into this world, and making them go through all these suffering. They didn't get to experience everything a normal teenager should have, especially Harry"

"He lived most of his entire life within the walls of our home. Because of his submissive nature, Anna and I were afraid someone might take advantage of him. Whenever he goes out we had people following him, we didn't let him befriend a lot of people because we were afraid he might fall in love with some boy then he will get pregnant and the cycle will repeat itself again. That was why we home schooled him, his whole life"

Louis shut his eyes and buried his face in his palms, his elbows resting on his upper thighs.

"Please forgive us, we are really sorry for putting you through all this" Robin sniffles.

Silence enveloped them for a long moment before Louis lifted his face up from his palms and looked up at Robin. "It wasn't your fault, if your grandfather had told you the truth, I don't think non of this would have happened"

"So you forgive us?" Robin whispered, his voice full of hope.

Louis gave him an reassuring smile which quelled Robin's worries. "You never harmed me so yes, I've forgiven you and your family. You're a victim of lies and you did what you taught was right"

Robin's lips spread and his eyes crinkled in a grateful expression. "Thank you"

"Don't mention it, after all if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have met Luke" Louis murmured with a genuine smile.

"How is it going between you two?" Robin asked.

Louis lips twitched into a wide grin and a light flush appeared on his cheeks. "Very good, even though we have been together for few days. I think I love him"

"He's your soul mate, it's normal you feel that way even after few days" Robin murmured with a small smile.

After few seconds of awkward silence, Robin spoke again. "So what are your plans now?" He asked with a curious tone, which Louis clearly understood what he meant, now that he's not getting married to Harry.

"Well, Luke and I will be going back to the city but we might be coming back here again, we just want to take one step at a time and see where it goes from there"

Robin nodded. "My doors are always wide open, so if you need anything let me know"

"I will remember that, Sir" Louis responded before clearing his throat softly "So um where is Liam and Harry?" He asked.

"Oh they are with their mates, Liam is with Niall....

"The physician?" Louis interjected with a surprise look and Robin nodded, smiling.

"And Harry is with Zayn" Robin whispered the last part with dissatisfaction.

"As in Zayn Malik?" Louis had a little furrow between his eyebrows as he asked.

"The one and only"

"Liam told me about what happened during their childhood with him, how could he be mated with Harry?" Louis muttered, his forehead creased with concern.

"That's the question only the moon goddess can answer" Robin said with a loud sigh and leaned back in the bench.

"He makes Harry happy, so I'm trying to let go of the past and repair the damaged relationship between us"

"But sometimes when I see that smirk on his face, I lose it"

Louis slightly nodded then they talked for a while, about Zayn being the next in line for the Alpha's position and Liam becoming Zayn's beta since Niall's responsibilities as a beta will be affected when he gets pregnant. They also spoke a little about Zayn and Harry's upcoming wedding, which Anna was planning. After a while, they realized it was getting dark and decided to go back inside the house. They found Liam and James in the living room, disagreeing about something while Niall and Luke looked on with goofy smiles.

"Seriously come on, I know a lot of beautiful older women who are single and ready to mingle, who knows you might find someone you like"

"I am not interested" James gave Liam a threatening look, causing him to snort.

"Oh stop being stubborn and let me hook you up with one of them" Liam scooted closer to James and pulled out his phone from his pocket then showed him, pictures of his parents mutual friends.

Niall and Luke burst into hysterical laughter when James scrunched up his face as he looked at the pictures.

"See, check out this woman out, she is sixty-five but she really looks amazing and oh this is Miss Adams, she is Mum's secretary and she makes the best Italian food"

James groaned loudly and pushed the phone away from his face.

"How do you even know all these women?"

"They are Dad's business associates and Mum's friends" Liam shrugged with a twinkle in his eyes told James that, he has plans to get him a girlfriend.

James shifted his gaze to Robin and Louis as they approach them. "Is this your doing?" He directed the question to Robin, who's lips parted into a grin.

"I believe it Anna's, she wants to find you a date before Harry's wedding" Robin beamed a smile at him.

James muttered something under his breath and stood up, making his way out of the living room and everyone burst into laughter upon hearing what he said.

Since Louis is a human and didn't have sensitive hearing, he couldn't pick up what James said so Robin fill him in when he noticed the confused expression on Louis face.

"He teases Anna everytime so he thinks she's getting back at him by finding him a girlfriend"

"Oh" Louis bit his lower lip, trying not to laugh then he noticed the flushed look on Luke's face when he glanced at him. He gestured for him to come to his side and when Luke did, he pressed a lingering kiss on his lips.

Liam cleared his throat loudly, looking at Louis with a remorseful look. "Can we talk?" He murmured, as worry peeked through his words.

"Dinner is ready!" Anna's voice boom throughout the room from the door.

"I guess we'll have to talk after dinner then" Louis muttered with a faint smile and Liam nodded.

They all went to the dining room and to their surprise, they found Harry sitting on Zayn's lap, chatting with Anna, Yaser and James.

"When did you two arrived?" Robin asked with a confusion expression then Zayn averted his gaze to him.

"An hour ago" He replied, his arms firmly wrapped around Harry's waist.

"I thought you said you would be back in the afternoon"

"I was tired and slept the whole day, Dad. It wasn't his fault" Harry responded before Zayn could answer then Robin's gaze landed on the hickeys around Harry's neck and clearly understood why he was tired. He nodded without saying a single word and sat next to Anna.

"Your neck looks nice" Liam said with an amused smile, earning a blush from Harry as he and Niall sat beside Zayn and Harry on their side of the table.

Harry's eyes landed on Louis and his heart skipped a beat. He stared at him cautiously, not because he was afraid but because he wasn't expecting to see Louis so soon after what happened. A remorseful look flashed his face, then he spotted Louis arm around Luke's waist as he guides Luke to his seat and Harry's lips parted into a smile.

At least Louis has found his mate in the midst of all this.

Louis gave Harry and Zayn an awkward smile as Luke and him sat opposite them then Zayn narrowed his eyes at him but didn't say anything.

After everyone sat down, dinner was served by the maids and everyone began eating. Anna tried to apologise to Louis but he waved it off, saying there was no need to bring up the past, now that everything is going well. He has moved on and wants them to enjoy this moment, together as a family..

Afterwards everyone chatted as if nothing has happened.

Niall snickered when he noticed Liam rolling his eyes for the millionth time as Zayn and Harry act lovey dovey. They were eating from same plate, using the same spoon and sipping from the same cup.

After everyone finished eating their dinner, the maids cleared the table and desert was served. Everything was going on well until Zayn decided to apologise to Louis which shocked everyone.

"Sorry for nearly killing you the last time" He said, looking at Louis.

Louis was silent for a moment, his eyebrows furrowed in puzzlement. Then he registered what Zayn meant. "You were the black wolf?" He asked and Zayn nodded, his face void of any emotions.

Louis opened his mouth to say something but decided against it and pursed his lips. He has read so many online books about werewolves and how possessive they are of their mates. If this is anything like the books he has read, then he understands where Zayn is coming.

"It's in the past. Let's forget about it" Louis said with a genuine smile then Zayn returned the smile and buried his face in Harry's neck, inhaling his scent.

"Oh I have good news" Anna said excitedly trying to diffuse the sudden awkwardness Zayn has created. She didn't want the atmosphere they have managed to create so far to become uncomfortable. "I'm inviting my secretary to the wedding, I hope it's okay? She's a human"

"How many humans are we inviting? I thought only close family members will be coming" Yaser muttered.

"Oh don't worry, mum's secretary is a very close family member. She is my grandpa's new girlfriend" Liam chirped, with a satisfied smile then James choked on the water he was drinking.

Yaser glanced at James, with an astonished look.

"Miss Adams is Grandpa's girlfriend?" Harry gasps with wide eyes.

James face palmed and groaned as everyone snickered softly, expect Zayn and Yaser who were still in shock.

"She is not my girlfriend, I don't even know her" James said with a light growl, directed to Liam.

"I saw the sparkles in your eyes when you saw her picture, just admit you like her" Liam said with a smirk.

Before James could uttered a word, Harry interjected in. "Please Grandpa marry her, she is very nice and she makes the best Italian food ever" Harry said with a pleading look, causing Zayn to burst into laughter.

James sighed loudly, rubbing his forehead. Everyone knew James can't say no to Harry, so they waited, anticipating on what he will say.

"Okay fine, she will be my date for the wedding but I'm not promising anything"

Harry nodded with a smile and winked at Liam, then James realized he has been played. His own grandchildren had set him up.

"When is the wedding?" Luke asked.

"Next month" Everyone answered at the same time.
