Throughout the next few hours, the avengers had continued to text the group chat with random topics as they waited for a message back from Peter. Tony only texted a few times as he worked in his lab checking in to see if Flower was in. They all came up with some different kinds of theories as to why Flower wasn't replying going from realistic to nearly impossible. Until finally the long-awaited text from Peter came with a happy ring.

Clint
Can't we just summon him?

Sam
Yes. Let's summon the kid to text us

Steve
It's worth a shot!

Natasha
I can't tell if you guys are joking or not

Tony
With them? You can never be sure

Bucky

After the papers go to the Stark industries office and pass through them it'll go to Mr. Stark to decide if it's a yes or no!

She was really sweet. She gave me this paper form to fill out next

The image was of a small packet placed on a dark-colored desk with what the group was assuming to be Peter's hand in the background doing a thumbs up. They would have thought nothing of it if it weren't for the fact that his hand was all wrapped up in a bandage and a dull red color could be seen seeping through.

They shoved me and I swung my hand out of instinct only to hit a locker

What had really happened was Peter who has just finished all his classes was walking through the halls when his spider senses went alert. Once he heard the familiar "Hey Parker!" Bark from his classmate Flash he knew he didn't need to panic. But by instinct, it was too late.

Peter was hastily shoved against a locker and before he was able to get over his senses blaring his reaction was to swing. The teen immediately scolded himself for that. He couldn't swing at Flash! Flash wasn't a criminal. He couldn't start this.

Peter knew his reaction came too quickly and if he made the hit on Flash it'd just raise suspicion and cause trouble. So purposely he missed his hand hitting painfully against the locker. It was no big deal. He'd survive. Even with the taunting laugh of Flash. Apparently Flash just wanted to rub in that someone like Peter could never make the Stark internship. He just shook it off.
