Text him? What am I supposed to text him? 'Oh, I was distracted by you and your handsome face?' That'll be really smooth. I sat on my bed, Renee chuckling at me.. I looked at her "What's funny?"

"You are.. Nikki, just text him and lie." Lie? I wish it were that easy.. "Renee, you know I'm not the best liar.. It'll just blow up in my face." She nodded "I guess you're right.. You are a terrible liar.. Then just tell him the truth.. Tell him you were thinking about kissing him."

I rolled my eyes.. "I wasn't thinking about kissing him.. I was just-" "Daydreaming about his soft lips." "Yes.. Two completely different things." "Right.. Nikki, I think you're making this a bigger deal than it should be."

"How would you handle this?" She shrugged "I would've told him that I was distracted by him.. It's not like he can punish you for thinking about him." "I guess you're right.." She stood up from her bed, grabbing her towel.. "Everything will be fine."

And with that, she turned around and headed into the bathroom.. I groaned and laid into bed, my brain aching.. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand.. Ugh! This is hard.. I unlocked my phone and clicked on my contact list, seeing his name on my screen. How am I supposed to do this?

I clicked on his name and picked the message icon, my heart thumping in my chest. I can do this.. All I have to do is tell the truth, it's not like I committed a crime. I took a deep breath and quickly typed my message, closing my eyes before pressing send, which I didn't do.

I threw my phone across the room, making it land on Renee's bed, just as she was walking out of the bathroom. "Did you do it yet?" I looked up at her. "I typed it but I didn't send it.. I just can't do it, Renee." She shook her head and grabbed my phone off her bed and unlocked it, pressing send. She walked over and handed me back my phone. "See? It wasn't that heard." Easy for you to say, you didn't have to do this.
