Notes. You know, those quick sentences you jot down. Or are they? Well yes, but is it just that?

Wondering what I mean? Well then, let me ask you something. Do you know what AN stand for? You know, those paragraphs letting readers know whats going on at the start or end of a chapter?

It stands for Authors Note, for those of who you didn't know. Those can be but also don't have to be quick.

Now, there's also another kind of note. A story's note. The transitions if you will. Whether it be switching point of views or giving a time jump. Those are still notes.

How? Well first off we need to know what a note is. Taking a minute to look on Google, this is what Note's definition is, but the one that describes that we use:

A short informal letter or written message. That's what a note is. Well in our case anyway. Please take notice that it doesn't say 'or short written message'. Yes, that is implied but if it was meant that, wouldn't they take that risk?

Author Notes are often used to update all readers of that book about updates, schedules, events, etc.
