I cannot read in bed for the simple reason that I fall asleep after a few minutes, no matter how much I enjoy a book. A couch in front of a fireplace is fine, but I usually don't get that many hours to relax at home. So just as writing, a lot of my reading is done on an airplane and in airports. 

Since Kindles don't have to be turned off any longer for take-off and landing (thanks Ryanair), paperbacks have become obsolete which frees up humongous backpack space for sugary snacks  to keep my jaws occupied while I devour page after page. So unless I have an annoying neighbor who doesn't shut up (advice: never sit next to your boss on an airplane unless you are prepared to reveal your life story and want to hear his), not only time flies when you're having fun.
