~You and Your Writing~

What do you like to write? What are your favorite genres to write? What's your preferred length of writing? What are your favorite tropes?

Only write what you want to write.

This might put you outside of your comfort zone, because you might be scared of what people will think or how they'll react to what you've written.

Other people can't set any limits to what you write, or how you write it.

Only take other's advice when you think or know it will benefit your writing. Don't stress if they don't like what you've written— the important thing is that you like what you've written or in the process of writing.

If someone tells you that you are unable to write certain things, grit your teeth and prove them wrong. Don't succumb to their petty, unimportant opinions.

Only you can set your limits to what you write. "If you can fly, don't stop at the sky, because there's footprints on the moon."
-Owl City.

Don't compare yourself to other writers. You have a unique voice and message that they can't portray and vice versa.

If you're happy with your writing and proud of yourself for your accomplishments, the opinions of others don't and shouldn't matter.
