Ally

My name is Allison Garcia, but you can just call me Ally, and I am 13 years old. The story I am about to tell you happened only a few months ago, during  an era where terrorism was known in the United States. I  know, it sounds weird, how our country went from the most destructive country to well, a bit more peaceful. But please, just stand by and listen. The story I am about to tell you is how I kicked the president's ass.
Let's start from the beginning. Here I am, sitting in class next to my best friend Pablo Sanchez. You see, this isn't any normal school. Due to certain circumstances, secret schools have been created all over the country, allowing only the most intelligent students to join. So, I guess its sort of a school for smart kids, in a way. It's defiantly not easy, since  1. Money is still a thing, and donations are our only way to go. Our society is currently very destitute, since our "president" is a pretty malicious guy. So since people aren't always willing to give us the money we need, our supplies are pretty low. 2. The schools are illegal, so we have to remain incognito. Our leader send out this pretty nasty guards to do all his dirty work, such as spying, punishments, and of course, killing. Schools typically are hidden in places such as old buildings ( there's a lot of those these days ), secret meadows, and forests. Meadows and forests are usually not the best when it comes to having places to sit and learn, but they're great when it comes to hiding. The guards are usually very lazy,so they mostly just roam around the city, looking for trouble. Ours was in an old abandoned building, seeming as what must have used to been a Mexican restaurant. So, we had the luxury of having chalk boards, class rooms, and well set up training arenas.

Now I know what you're thinking. Has anyone been caught? The answer is yes. If any of those guards catch students training, they execute the teachers and principal. Pretty cruel, huh. So we have to try really hard not to get caught, and that isn't always easy. We only have a small amount of teachers and student in our school, ours having only 30 students, so that we can hide easier. Not that it's difficult to have only a few students. Like I said, they train only the smartest of the smartest, and those students go to the nearest training school in our district.
It wouldn't be like this if our "president" hadn't claimed dictatorship. He had rigged the elections so that he gets relected every year. The only way out of this dictatorship was for the president to be killed, and that wasn't easy. And that was why we were training.

Anyway, Pablo and I were sitting in History class, mind you it was mostly the history of what had happened these past 10 years, on a normal Saturday morning. It may be a school for geniuses, but that didn't it from being boring.
Like the rest of the class, we were all waiting for next period, when things finally got fun: training.
The training room was set underground, where an arena full of Archery ranged, knife and gun targets, professional assistants to train with things such as boxing and fist fighting, and sword fighting areas. Most students had one special skill they excelled in. Mine was archery.

After class, me and Pablo headed over to the arena to practice some archery together. Pablo wasn't so great at archery, he excelled in sword and fist fighting.
I, personally, excelled in the activity since I had been doing it since I was a kid. My dad had taught me special skills such as archery ( of course ), berry picking, and animal trapping to stay closer to our native traditions, despite the fact that we lived in a society where there was little forest and wild life. As a child, he would also often sing songs the Native Americans, our ancestors, would sing, and tell exciting tales the natives have passes on to the newest generations. It was hard now-a-days to stay close to your heritage, especially when the country your own ancestors had once lives had been taken over and practically turned into a waste land, but my parents, especially my dad, tried their best.
A grab a bow, collect a few arrows, and pull back the bow, carefully pointing it at the target. As I released, the arrow went straight into the middle of the target.
"How the hell do you you manage perfect shots every time?" Pablo asked
      I replied "Practice", smiling.
"Whatever, i'm going to do some sword fighting".
I laughed. I've had a crush on Pablo for over a year now, but of course I would never let him know that. He was so cute... with his messy black hair, short but muscly appearance, and funny personality.....
Later that day, me and Pablo walked back to our dorms together, splitting up only when we had to separate into boys and girls dorms. It had been a long day, so I plump myself over onto my bed.
5 minutes later, my room mate, Jessie Ahn, walked in.
     "Hey Allie" she said.
     "Hey, Jess" I answered.
Me and Jessie defiantly weren't best friends, but since we had been sharing a dorm room for the past year, we eventually developed a friendship. I defiantly admired her. She was pretty, with her long dark brown hair, brown skin, and wide brown eyes, but next to that, she was also the toughest girl I knew. At only 15, she already was better than most of the boys in the district at sports such as basket ball, soccer, football, and foot racing. She wasn't super tall, but she made up with that for being strong. Her arms were slightly muscled and very toned, and she could lift up very heavy things. She could have gotten any guy in the district, if she were't into girls.
Just as I was about to start my homework, there was a knock on our door. I stand up and answer it, only to find a tall, muscled man in all black standing on the opposite side of the door.
"Is this the dorm room of Jessie Ahn and Allie Garcia?" He asked.
"Uhh.... yes... " I said nervously.
"I have a message for both of you"
