Hina turns back around and heads down the steps starting to walk the long dirt road.
Taishiro runs after her saying "Hina no you... you have to stay honey please!"
Hina looks back Taishiro "no Tai I made up my mind I'm not doing that to you"
Taishiro looks at the ground then at his parents "then I'm leaving to... mom you can't... you can't keep treating me like I'm a five year old anymore mom I love you and you know that but you can't put down the women I love just because you don't think shes good enough for me when I know" Taishiro looks at himself then at Hina "I'm not good enough for her but we love each other and that's all that matters" Taishiro looks back at his mother "and it's up to you weather or not you want to accept that"
Mrs. Toyomitsu is just standing there in shock she has no idea how to react to any of this.
She quickly speaks up "Taishiro I'm just tryin' to protect-"
Taishiro cuts off his mother and speaks his country accent cutting through, "mama please" Taishiro sighs, "it's my job to protect others now and that includes you yeah I did make some pretty stupid decisions in my youth and I did end up getting hurt and you were the one who was to comfort me and tell me that everything's gonna be alright but Hina" Taishiro looks at Hina and takes her hand "she's also there to do that for me and me to do that for her"
Mrs. Toyomitsu sighs and smiles slightly "you got guts... why y'all come inside? I'll make us some tea"
