Chapter 16

"Are you done yet? Can we go see her?" Izuku asked after exactly thirty minutes had past. He was getting starting to get more and more impatient and bored.

Hitoshi laid the papers we was going over down on his desk with a sigh. "You're still on about that? I thought the whole having a bunch people who care about you thing had made you realize how terrible of a person she is and how you don't need her." He said, waving his hand around while talking.

Izuku gaped at him, eyes wide. "That's seriously what you got from that conversation?" He asked.

"Well it wasn't all I got, but it was the majority. I don't know if you've noticed, but I hate your mother. So does Todoroki. And Bakugou. And I'm sure all your other friends. We all hate her, so forgive me for having hope that you'd jumped on the band wagon." Hitoshi said back, standing up and grabbing a file off his desk.

"C'mon, I have to see Todoroki anyways." His voice was one of annoyance, but Izuku couldn't care less. He was going to finally get his mother back and that was his main priority. Along with making sure Hitoshi knew how happy he was that he wasn't being an overbearing jerk anymore.

"Yes! Thank you Hito." He said with a big smile as he grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the office. They came to an abrupt halt when Izuku realized he had no idea where he was going.

Hitoshi chuckled at the clueless puppy in front of him, tugging him in the right direction. "This way."

"I totally knew that." Izuku said with a huff of air and a small smile.

"Mhm, I'm sure you did, seeing as you've been here so many times and know your way around effortlessly." Hitoshi said back with a nod and a cocky smirk.

Izuku was practically skipping next to him. "Yup!" He said, playing along.

"So I guess you won't need a full tour then." Hitoshi said with a shrug.

Izuku stopped, pouting at Hitoshi. "That's not fair! If you expect me to work here I need to know how to actually get around. I just know how to get from Ausi to here." He explained.

Hitoshi ruffled his hair while nudging him to keep walking. "I know, I was teasing."

Crossing his arms, Izuku looked off to the side. "You seem to enjoy doing that an awful lot."

"Only you puppy." He responded, still with a teasing tilt in his voice.

Soon enough they exited the main part of the house, walking through a big back year and over towards a smaller shed structure. Izuku was confused, but keep it to himself as he waited for Hitoshi to either show him or explain.

He knocked on the door, a slit opening and someone on the other side looking over them. A few seconds later the door was opened.

Hitoshi and Izuku walked in, one more hesitant than the other. Hitoshi lead them through the small upper part of the building and over to a set of stairs, going down. There was another door, which a guard type guy had to let them in again.

"Jeez, what is this place? A prison?" Izuku asked, half joking.

"Basically." Hitoshi confirmed, not beating around the bush. Izuku gulped.

The made it to the end of the stairs and Izuku's eyes widened as he saw the few rows of cells that lined the walk way. Not all of them were full, but there were a few that housed people. Most shrunk back in fear as Hitoshi and Izuku passed, but one guy was yelling and hitting the bars of his cell.

"This is ridiculous! Let me out Shinso!" The man with a broad build and red hair screamed. He had bright teal eyes that reminded Izuku of Todoroki.

"Shut it Todoroki, I'll let you out when your son wants you out." Hitoshi spat back. Izuku's eyes widened as he realized who that was.

"Wait, is that-"

"Yeah, it's his dad. I don't like abusive parents." Hitoshi said, his voice cold as they made it to the end of the walk way and went through another metal door.

This one led to a smaller hallway, three other doors branching off from it. "If I remember correctly, she should be in here." Hitoshi said, opening the first door.

Inside, was a table that Inko Midoriya was sitting at, shaking with fear. Against the wall in front of her, Todoroki was sitting on a chair and Bakugou was leaning against the wall next to him, both staring her down.

"Mom?" Izuku asked hesitantly as all eyes moved to him and Hitoshi.

"Izuku! What they hell have you gotten us into?" She asked, fear evident in her eyes, but also anger. She was mad that Izuku's choices had ended her up trapped in a cell.

"Us?" Bakugou asked with a snort of laughter.

"I told you she was crazy." Todoroki said with a shrug while looking up at the other male.

"I am not crazy you bastards!" Inko screeched. "Izuku, tell them to let me out of here. This whole thing is crazy." She spat back.

Izuku was fighting with himself. On one hand he wanted to help his mother. She had raised him, kept him alive, no matter how terribly, it was still a fact. On the other hand he was thinking back to everything Hitoshi had told him. That he didn't need her because he had plenty of people in his life that were so much better than her.

"I-I-" He wasn't sure what to say, which seemed to piss her off more.

"Izuku Midoriya, I am your mother! You will listen to what I tell you or so help me I will beat-"

"Be very careful how you finish that sentence. You have three very pissed off, dangerous men, ready to pounce if you so much as twitch the wrong way." A new voice said from the door way.

"Jirou, what'd you want?" Hitoshi asked, still glaring at Izuku's mother.

"The idiots blew up the kitchen again." She said, sounding exhausted.

Hitoshi groaned. "Bakugou go, you're like the dumbass whisperer or something. Take him with you." He instructed, pointing at Izuku.

Bakugou pushed himself off the wall if a sigh, grabbing Izuku by the arm and trying to drag him out of the room. Izuku clung to Hitoshi's arm though, stopping his movements. "Just don't hurt her. Send her to a different country for all I care, but if you hurt her... I won't forgive you for that." He said, not wanting everyone to hear his words, but failing.

"Izuku!" His mother screeched as he left the room with Bakugou.

"Fuck it, he never said I couldn't hurt her." He heard Todoroki say as he left.

Izuku's eyes widened as he tried to get back to the room, but Bakugou grabbed his waist and pulled him away. "Wait- No! Todoroki- that's not-"

But the door was shut and Bakugou had already gotten them up the stairs. "He's not gonna hurt her. He knows that you'd still be pissed at him. He's probably just trying to scare her." Bakugou said, still carrying Izuku as the smaller male wouldn't give up his efforts to get back to his mom.

"C'mon Izuku, don't make this harder than it has to be. You've got idiots to meet." He said, trying to coax him into giving up.

"Kacchan, you're so mean." He said, still squirming.

Bakugou sighed and just carried him back to the house. He stopped in the kitchen, where there was flour and eggs everywhere. He let Izuku down and glared at the four people standing in front of him with nervous smiles.

Izuku looked up and noticed them. His eyes trailed over them before he landed on the two at the end.

"Hey! You guys tried to mug me!"
