Useless Webs

Tiny spider spinning its web
Little fool don't you know
Though your silver strand may hold your weight
It'll break if the wind will blow

Fragile and tangled you knit your ware
Weaving silk there and again
But the heartless breeze will have it break
The gusts are not your friend

Hooking a string of web by foot
You spin your splendid piece
Hoping to eat and live on one more day
But the breeze is merely a thief

It steals away what you made from yourself
Never to see its sun
But your heart lies with what you know
And the wind has already won

You only know to spin one web
Tireless, steady and true
And though the wind knows it's no use, it tries
Trying to get through to you
