The sun goes to bed
The moon comes out to play
Stars dance in the sky
We say goodbye to the day

A lone wolf howls
The streetlights are on
Children in their beds
All the teens are gone

The neighbourhood is quiet
Highway is lit up
Late night confessions everywhere
Water in my cup

The Late Late Show has started
A cat screeches in the dark
Star gazing on the grass
Night has made its mark

The world seems so peaceful
But it's time for us to wake
The moon and the stars are sleeping
