Signs

*Ten weeks pregnant*
*September*

Today was a Saturday and it was game day for Isabella. Stevie and Lindsey would be going to watch their baby girl play her favorite sport.
Her sisters were also going to support her.

Sara and Michael were also there and Isabella was so happy to have her whole family there. It gave her the extra drive to give her all and win the game.

Of course, once they arrived at the soccer field, the family did get some stares since some parents knew who Lindsey and Stevie were.

But other than the stares they were getting, the Buckinghams were left alone.

Stevie hated being out in the sun, but for her baby girl, she would do anything. So, she put on some sunscreen and also, she brought an umbrella to protect her from the sun.

Same went for Robin. She had her black lace parasol to keep the sun away.

All the Buckingham girls were sitting on the bleachers and cheered for their sister.

As the game went on, Stevie was feeling a little tired. But she pushed the feeling away as best she could.

Aria was sitting in between Stevie and Lindsey. She looked over at her father and asked. "Daddy, I'm hungry. Can I have a hot dog, please?"

Lindsey looks over at Stevie and she nodded. Usually they ate foods that were healthy and Stevie tried to keep junk food out of the house.
Only letting her daughters have the occasional treat.

Lindsey then looks down at Aria and nods. "Okay, baby girl. Let's go." He said. He then turned to the other girls and asked. "Anyone want anything from the snack bar?"
"Oh! I'll go with you. I want some nachos!" Destiny said.
"Me too!" Lillian said as they stood up.

"Steph, do want anything?" Lindsey asked.
"Just a water, please." Stevie replied.
Lindsey nodded then he, Aria, Destiny and Lillian walked over to snack bar.

Stevie watched on as Isabella zoomed across the field and scored a point.

Stevie smiled wide and clapped for her baby girl. She was proud of her daughter and she could tell that Isabella felt so comfortable out on the soccer field.

A few minutes later, Lindsey, Aria, Destiny and Lillian all returned with their snacks and drinks.

Lindsey handed Stevie the water she asked for and she thanked him.

They all sat back down then they began to eat.

Aria was enjoying her hot dog; she swung her legs back and forth happily since her feet didn't touch the floor when suddenly, the smell drifted over to Stevie.

Stevie's stomach churned. She tried to push the nausea away but after a few short attempts she jumped up and handed her umbrella to Lindsey.

He look at her and knew what was going on. He wanted to follow her but he saw Robin rushing towards her mother.

Aria looked over Lindsey with a look of confusion.

"Daddy, is mommy okay?" She asked.
"Yes, baby girl. She's okay." He replied. "Don't worry."

Stevie tried to make it to the restrooms but she ended up vomiting into the nearest trash can. She hated the fact that she had to be doing this in a public place. But, thankfully there was no one around to see her.

Robin has followed Stevie and saw what was going on. She was worried about her mother.

Once Stevie stopped heaving, she now stepped back and tried to catch her breath.

She walked over to some empty bleachers and sat down. She placed her hand on her belly and rubbed it gently. Tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Mom?" Robin asked softly as she finally stepped forward towards Stevie. "Are you okay?"

Stevie wiped her tears away and immediately dropped her hand from her belly.

"Yes, sweet girl, I'm okay." Stevie said. "I guess I just ate something this morning that didn't agree with me."

Robin sat down beside Stevie so her parasol now covered Stevie.

They were quiet for moment. Stevie had finally caught her breath and was feeling a bit better.

Robin decided to speak her thoughts. Out of all her sisters, Robin was very observant and had an idea of what could be wrong with her mother. "You're pregnant, aren't you?" She asked.

Stevie bit her lip and was deciding whether to tell Robin the truth.

"Don't be silly." Stevie chuckled nervously.
"Mom, please tell me the truth." Robin said. "If you're not pregnant then I'm beginning to think that there is something more wrong with you. You and dad may think I don't see what's going on, but I know you still get sick. I've heard you throwing up a few times. Also, there is just something different about you and I can't help but think that you're pregnant. I have four little sisters and I know the signs." She chuckled.

Stevie sighed and nodded. "You're right. I am pregnant. Ten weeks. Your father and I had decided to tell you and your sisters once I reach my second trimester. I still have a few weeks left until I reach that trimester. But since you know, please, please promise me you won't say anything. Your father and I want to tell Sara on our own. Who knows how she'll react."

Stevie's heart ached as she thought of her eldest daughter and the pain she is going through.

"I promise I won't say anything." Robin said as she gave Stevie a hug. She pulled away and smiled at Stevie. "Congratulations, Mom. I'm happy for you and daddy. I can't wait to meet my new sibling."

Stevie hugged Robin again and smiled. She decided not to tell Robin she was having twins. She wanted to surprise her with the rest of her sisters.

"Thank you, Robin." Stevie said. She pulled away and took a deep breath. "Alright, let's get back before they send a search party."

Robin giggled and she and Stevie walked back towards their family.

When they got back, Stevie assured everyone that she was okay.

The family continued to cheer on Isabella and Isabella ended up scoring the winning point for her team.

Once Isabella was released from the small team meeting, she ran to her family where she got more praise and Lindsey wanted to celebrate by taking her out to dinner later that night.

Stevie was glad she would have time to rest before going out again. She was drained, both from the heat and because of the pregnancy.

Sara and Michael decided to go home and change then head to her parents house to wait until dinner. Sara just wanted to spend more time with her family.

Once they arrived home, everyone went their separate ways for now to relax before going out to dinner.

Isabella took a shower and changed into comfortable clothes. She then went in search of her sisters to just hang out with them.

Stevie laid in her bed and sighed as her head hit the pillow. She closed her eyes and was about to drift off to sleep when she felt the bed move. She opened her eyes to see Lindsey climbing into bed.

Lindsey smiled at her and laid down next to her. Stevie returned his smile with a tired smile.

She move closer to him and he wrapped his arm around her. Stevie laid her head on his chest and felt at ease.

Lindsey kissed the top of her head and said. "You get some rest, angel."

Stevie was too tired to even speak so she gave just a little nod. Stevie fell right to sleep a few seconds later.

Lindsey just stayed still, not wanting to wake Stevie. He just relished the feeling of her body next to his.

His mind then began to wander to the first time he saw Stevie. He fell in love and couldn't get her out of his mind.

He remembered the song they sang together when they first met then thought of the roller coaster that was their life.

He also thought about the mistakes he made and the pain he put Stevie through. Not a soul other than himself and Stevie knew what had happened. Not even their family knew.

God, Lindsey. You were an idiot! He thought to himself. You risked losing it all for a good time.

He silently sighed then looked at his beautiful sleeping wife. He smiled a little then gently kissed her forehead. He then closed his eyes and thanked his lucky stars that Stevie forgave him for his infidelity.

It was years ago when they were recording Rumours. It was a time that Lindsey wished he could forget. He and Stevie were always fighting at that time. They even fought in front of Sara. It was then that they decided to separate.

It was during that time, Lindsey had an affair.
It was just a one night stand and he couldn't even remember the women's name.

After it happened, he immediately regretted it and wanted to tell Stevie what happened.

As soon as he saw Stevie again, he told her that he needed to speak to her and that it was important.

Once Lindsey came clean, Stevie sobbed and the yelling match began. Well, Stevie did most of the yelling. She was heartbroken and angry.

He took every insult that Stevie threw his way because he knew he deserved it.

Some time had passed after Lindsey told Stevie the truth about what happened and Lindsey hadn't been unfaithful ever since.

It took him a while, but he had showed Stevie that he was completely committed to her and their marriage. He slowly rebuilt the trust he had lost and soon, they were back together. Stevie had forgave him and ever since, their relationship has been stronger.

Of course they did argue and in no way were they perfect, but they had gotten better at talking through whatever issues that arose.

Lindsey opened his eyes and looked at Stevie again. He knew she wouldn't hear but he had to say quietly. "Thank you for forgiving me and for giving me everything I had always dreamed of having with you."

He gently put his free hand on her belly and said. "I love my family and I am the luckiest man in this entire planet. I wouldn't trade for anything in this world."

He kissed the top of her head once more before he too drifted off to sleep for nap.
