Chapter Ninety Two

Kira stood next to Akito and Kazuma as they watched the room before them being demolished. It was the first thing the twins decided to do to restore the family name.

That room had brought upon a lot of misery, for the reason of what it was made for and for also the time Akito had locked up Isuzu.

Kira had known that telling her sister that she did not need to be there, was not an option. Her sister was set on being there, knowing that this is what she needed to endure.

"When I was young, when I came upon this room, I've believed in the lies that my parents and elders had told me. My grandfather had reached out to me, but I was horrible to him. I am never able to make up for what I have done to him," Kazuma started to say as he watched the building slowly fall.

"It is true, that some things can never be atoned for, but that doesn't mean it can't be forgiven" Akito expressed not removing her eyes away from the room," Even if this building disappears, I can never undo what I did to Isuzu, or for what I was about to do with Kyo. Maybe, there are others that would see this room being destroyed as an act of me trying to forget, but I will never allow myself to do that"

Akito looked down and looked at one of her hands," I will never discard this memory and let it be something that I will live with"

Kira did not reach over to comfort her sister, because this was not the time for it. Her sister did not need sympathy and Kira was going to respect it.

"Let us never forget any time we've wronged someone, but let us continue to move on and remember that we do this so that we can make sure it never happens again" Kira smiled and glanced at both of them. Kira lifted her hand that had the two keys for the now-demolished room.

She took a moment to pull out a string and looped them into it. She then dangled it and walked forward.

Kazuma and Akito remained still unsure of what she was doing and just chose to watch her.

Kira had walked over to a solid post that was directly in front of the destroyed building and tied the keys around it.

"I asked them to leave this single post so that It can mark the location as many years go on. Once they remove the debris," Kira turned and pulled out a small pouch from her pocket," Would you two be okay with joining me in planting this seed? I am not sure of what it is and it could be for nothing, but I was thinking that it can be where we allow life to regrow...since all that this place had been where people have been left to pass away"

"That is..." Kazuma shared a look with Akito who took a moment before smiling

"A splendid idea," She voiced turning to Kira and Kazuma nodded

"Oh, thank goodness, I was kind of worried that it was a silly idea, to be honest, but somehow...thinking about allowing life to grow here can allow the land that was changed many years ago to become what it was. The land would be able to heal from the sins that had been forced onto it"

"To heal what the family had done to it, yes" Kazuma closed his eyes nodding," that is the most we can do to atone"

Kira nodded and walked over to them as they shared one last look before walking down the staircase. The keys on the post clinked together as the wind past through, almost as if it was the land itself thanking them for freeing it at last.

"So, Tohru wanted to let me you two know that she wants to cook us dinner" Kazuma looked to the females.

"Oh, Tohru's cooking~ I've missed it so much" Kira's mouth practically watered, as she glanced at Akito," Trust me when is say this, Sis, once you try it, there is no turning back"

Akito chuckled," I've heard some tales about it and I look forward to it so much"

"She spoils us," Kazuma shook his head sighing as they each agreed on that.
