The Owl House has officially ended with its series finale: Watching and Dreaming. And by god, what an amazing series and finale overall!

I wrote this when Season 2A had just started, and honestly? I both got a few things right, but a lot MORE things wrong about certain characters! Some changes in the show were too big not to include in Witches Among Humans in some way, such as Hunter's redemption arc!

I kinda had to shove it in cause I had killed him off in this book! In its sequel, I had to make up a reason for why he was evil and how he's still alive. Honestly? I feel like I could've done it better now that we know Hunter's full story! Now that we know EVERYONE'S full story!

So, let's go behind the scenes! Here are the things I would've added or changed to this book if I were writing it now!

1: Reveal that Luz is actually half human, with her father being human and her mother, Camilla, being a full blooded witch.

2: Make King the son of The Titan instead of just being a halfblood.

3: Don't make The Titan evil or working with Belos willingly.

4: Change Belos's motivation and The Day of Unity. The more I look over it in this book, his goal doesn't match with his counterpart in the show at all and is just kind of generic villain.

5: Add the story of Caleb and Philip Wittebane.

6: Keep The Golden Guard evil, but there would be a plot twist later to show that the Golden Guard is actually just an evil Grimwalker while Hunter is one of the few rebels against Belos, who would join Luz in her fight. Hunter would actually be the one to kill the Golden Guard to save Luz's life and confuse the heck out of her.

7: MAYBE add The Collector into the story? He'd probably work better for a sequel!

8: Give Luz some actual conflict about living in the Human Realm and her place of birth, The Demon Realm. That was a factor in the original comic that inspired this, but I left it out because Luz clearly wasn't happy in The Boiling Isles due to being a criminal. But a smart comment from another Witches Among Humans book that I did not make, brought up how heroes don't choose something they like more and they choose what's right.

9: Give Luz her Titan Form! Cause that is too awesome not to include.

10: Add Stringbean!

Other than those few things however? I'm perfectly happy with the book and I'm glad I was able to write it.
