A week or so had passed since MewTwo and I had returned to the waterfall, Jake, Abby and Pikachu made frequent visits to inform me of what they found but for the most part they couldn't find anything on Liam. In that time MewTwo had also helped restore my my full eyesight, having two eyes again was a pleasure I enjoyed when I could not enjoy others. A flash of light flying past my head caused me to focus once more, shaking my thoughts away I focused another defensive attack as MewTwo launched another shadow beam towards me. Ever since I had reached full strength we had been training non stop, on some occasions MewTwo had forced me to endure painful visions to train my mental state so that David couldn't use it against me anymore.

"Focus MewLing! During any form of fighting your focus is your biggest ally!" MewTwo snarled through our link, nodding I began to launch my own attacks while staying defensive at the same time. The sound of approaching footsteps had us freeze, sending out a soft energy pulse I picked up Abby, Jake and Pikachu heading towards us. Dipping my head in greeting I approached them hoping for some sort of news, the grim looks on their faces told me it wasn't good news.

"Hey MewLing, hey MewTwo, look those guys that captured you have doubled their patrols and the whole city is on watch, we only just managed to sneak away but we don't know how we are going to be able to keep this up, we have however located Liam's most recent whereabouts, from what we've seen he's living in the middle of the city in Ace Towers with his uncle, we ran into him on his way home one day and we let him play with Pikachu, he told us of how he snuck into his uncles lab one day and met a Pokémon named MewLing, we asked him why he didn't try to find you and he told us that his uncle had hurt you and that you were too dangerous to go and see, he told us that when his uncle came home one day without you he claimed some horrible people had killed you, I don't think he was convinced since afterwards he whispered that sometimes he could feel a strange pulling as he called it, that to me sounds like a pokemon and trainer bond," Jake explained, listening to his words caused my gaze to drift towards the city and I could already feel MewTwo's concern growing.

"Don't you dare MewLing, they will break you past a healing point!" MewTwo warned but before I could stop myself I launched into the air and headed for the city, I needed to protect that boy from being corrupted by his uncle. A sudden force hitting me from behind had me crashing to the ground, leaping to my feet I turned to glare at MewTwo.

"You can't stop me MewTwo!" I snarled launching a blast of light towards her, with a nimble dodge she launched herself towards me almost crashing into me had I not leapt sideways.

"I cannot let you get yourself killed! By returning to the city you are endangering the lives of thousands!" She snapped in return, the silence that followed made my blood boil. The sound of a screaming child nearby caught my attention, turning my head I felt my body tense with fear.

"Well that wasn't so hard now was it? You should really listen to MewTwo MewLing, returning to the city will endanger thousands, come with me now MewLing and I won't hurt your precious partner," he chuckled his green eyes burning into my skin like fire, glancing sideways at the young boy struggling in his grasp I felt torn. My instincts told me to attack but I stood frozen in place by that same spell I had felt the moment Liam had come close to my chambers the first time we met, glancing from David to Liam I felt MewTwo grow rigid with anger behind me. Raising a hand slightly I began to summon some of my power but the tight grasp he had on Liam soon turned into a deadlock with a knife, tensing with fear I was quick to stop myself which caused David to smirk.

"Come on MewLing, it's either obey me or little Liam here won't get to see another day," he chuckled his voice dark and victorious, a new set of eyes watching me from behind told me the others had arrived but in such a moment nothing could be done for either of us. Despite my best wishes not to I slowly and cautiously approached David my eyes always flickering from him to Liam and back again, when I got close enough he gestured for me to stop and before I could think the familiar feeling of the choking metal collar returned and I simply stood not knowing wether to fight or run.

"What are you doing!?" I heard MewTwo snarl through our mind link, glancing back at her I noticed her posture soften slightly before she turned and took off to make sure she too didn't get caught.

"I will listen so long as you don't hurt him," I warned, this had David's smirk growing.

"Oh I know you will, now MewLing, follow me peacefully," he ordered his voice dripping with his newfound victory, reluctantly I began to follow him always making sure Liam was alright as we went. After a minute or so we arrived at a heavily armoured vehicle surrounded by guards, giving them all a glare I entered the vehicles holding compartment before taking a seat by the very front to make sure I was as close to Liam as possible. Leaning my head back I let out a pained sigh, I had failed once again to protect everyone and now so many were going to suffer at my hands once more.
