Qibli had grown up in Texas, but when Thorn adopted him at age 8, he had moved to Florida with her and Sunny. Since he went to Jade Mountain Elementary School, he knew he would see people he knew in high school. But since Jade Mountain High School was known worldwide because of its outstanding academic curriculum, he also knew that there would be many new faces there. 

"I hope I get new friends" was Qibli's first thought when he left with Sunny, and he did.

"Well... that was awkward," Qibli said as soon as Anemone left their lunch table.

"Definitely." added Turtle, then he turned to Kinkajou "Ummm... are you alright? My sister can be very annoying at times. Sorry." But Kinkajou was still fuming and didn't answer.

Then Moon cleared her throat and everyone's attention went to her.

Since Mr. Webs was droning on and on, Qibli decided it was a good time to think .

Qibli had just met Moon but she was so perfect and all, her long black hair complemented her warm green eyes and her two tear drop shaped earrings were beautiful. "Hmmm..." Qibli thought "I wonder if I can ask her to the upcoming Welcome Back dance 2 weeks from now..."

Then Winter's voice interrupted his thoughts, "QIBLI"

"Hmm?"

"Did you literally not hear anything Webs said? This is going to be a horrible project."

"Wait what? Winter, what project?"

"*Sigh* We're doing a project about climate change, and we're in the same group... AND it's due tomorrow."

 "Ok then, are we going to work at my house or yours? I'm sure Thorn wouldn't mind us using my house but your choice."

"Well, my aunt, Glacier, who is on the city council, will definitely not approve-"

"Wow. You're practically royalty!" 

"Do NOT interrupt me."

"Yes your royal highness."

"Do NOT call me that."

"Ok your royal igloo face."

"DO NOT CALL ME THAT EITHER." 

Then the bell rings "DING"

"Ok then, my place. Meet you in the parking lot after school... igloo face."
