Chapter 6

After having dinner at the Miydoria's, Eva went on a run with Izuku. Some of the things Bakugo was muttering about on the way home were on her mind.

"Izuku, is it really borrowed power?" Eva asked as she came to a stop; he stopped as well.

"I know it sounds crazy, and it's fine if you don't believe me," Izuku said as he looked at the ground.

"I was a bit hurt you didn't tell me right away, we are best friends," Eva pointed out. Izuku let out a small gasp, he looked up at her. "Are you sure you can't tell me who you got it from?"

"I can't," Izuku denied. "Maybe in time...You are just going to have to trust me on this." Eva stared at him. "Please...just trust me on this."

"Fine, but if I guess it right will you confirm it?" Eva asked.

"Yes," Izuku nodded his head, Eva looked up, the building on the right had an All Might poster on the window, she then looked back at Izuku, and he started to sweat heavily.

"My lips are sealed," Eva confirmed, Izuku fell forward, he was in relief. "I'm good at secrets, you know that." Izuku nodded in agreement.  She grabbed his hands. "You do forget that passed down power isn't new to me, you can be open with me, trust me."

"As of now, how is your speed coming along?" Izuku asked getting off the topic. "Have you gotten faster?" She nodded. "Let's test that." He pulled out a timer. "To UA and back." Eva grabbed him and then took off, he let out a small scream of happiness.

****

At school, reporters were surrounding the building ever since All Might's position about being a teacher was revealed to the world. She was with Bakugo when they bombarded them with questions; he grabbed a hold of her when they started to get separated.

"Excuse me, kids," the woman came up to them. "Are you in All Might's class? Oh, hold on. Aren't you that Sludge Villain kid?"

"Walk away," Bakugo ordered angrily.

"Any details about his love life?" the reporter asked as she shoved the mic toward Eva.

"Walk away," Bakugo ticked angrier; pulling Eva closer to him. The reporters got blocked from entering the school, the class went into session.

"Decent work on yesterday's combat training, you guys," Aizawa commented. "I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results. Bakugo. You're talented. So don't sulk like a child about your loss, okay?"

"Yeah, whatever," Bakugo grunted looking away.

"And Midoriya," Aizawa continued. "I see the only way you won the match was by messing up your arm again. Work harder. And don't give me the excuse you don't have control over your quirk. That line already getting old. You can't keep breaking your body while training here. But your Quirk will be really useful if you can get a handle on it." Izuku looked up with hope. "So show a little urgency, huh?"

"Right!" Izuku responded.

"Yuki," Aizawa began. "Learn to combat through the wind that is being blown at you, next time there is a light wind storm, try flying through it."

"Right," Eva nodded.

"Let's get down to business," Aizawa started turning to the rest of the class. "Our first task will decide your future."

"Is it another Quirk test?" everyone thought at the same time.

"You all need to pick a class representative," Aizawa announced.

"Oh, good. Just normal school stuff," everyone sighed in relief.

"Pick me, guys!" Kirishima exclaimed. "I wanna be class rep!"

"I'll take it," Denki volunteered.

"Yeah, you're gonna need me," Jiro confirmed.

"Someone with style would be best," Aoyama volunteered.

"I'm, like, totally the right pick!" Ashido cheered. Everyone was shouting at once for them to be picked as a class rep, Eva on the other hand did her best to stay out of the mess, she saw that Izuku was completely taken by surprise by their classmates. To no one's surprise, Bakugo was volunteering himself.

"You should volunteer," said Izuku looking at her, he leaned forward. "You are a princess."

Eva put a finger over his mouth. "Nobody, but you and Katsuki now that, it is to stay that way."

"Silence, everyone, please!" Iida shouted, and the whole class went quiet, they turned to him, "The class representative's duty is to lead others. That's not something just anyone can do. You must have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader!"

"It's pretty obvious you want us to vote for you," Everyone said at the same time.

"Is this really the best idea?" Kaminari asked.

"We've only known each other for a few days, how do we know who we can trust?" Tsu asked.

"Besides, everyone'll just vote for themselves," Kirishima pointed out.

"Most people will," Iida confirmed. "But that means whoever does receive multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job." He turned to the teacher, Aizawa was zipping up his sleeping bag. "It's the best way, right sir?"

"Do what you want, just decide before my nap's over," Aizawa ordered, he then fell over.

"Thank you for your trust!" Iida exclaimed. Eva got put in charge of putting names on the chalkboard, and she voted for Iida, he was strict, but he sure got control of the class quickly. She was surprised to see someone had voted for her. The results ended with Izuku with 3 and Momo with 2.

"How did I get three votes?" Izuku panicked.

"Okay, you idiots, who voted for him?" Bakugo demanded, and he stood up angrily. "Eva?"

"Wasn't me," Eva denied.

"Eva!" Izuku exclaimed.

"Bakugo, did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?" Sero asked.

"What did you just say?" Bakugo demanded.

"One vote," Iida trembled. "I feared this might happen, but I can't argue with the system I chose!"

"So you voted for someone else, huh?" Momo asked.

"But you knew it was best to vote for yourself, right?" Sato asked. "What were you tryin' to prove here, Iida?" Soon, Aizawa was awake, and Momo and Izuku stood at the front.

"All right, the class rep is Midoriya, and our deputy is Yaoyorozu," Aizawa announced.

"Really?" Midoriya trembled. "Uh. It's not a mistake?"

"How'd this happen?" Yayorozu sighed looking away.

"This might not be so bad," Tsu stated.

"Yeah, I can get behind Midoriya, I guess," Kirishima agreed.

"Yaoyorozu was totally on top of it when it came to our training results," Kaminari stated. Soon it was time for lunch, the place was packed.

"It's always so crowded in here," Urakaka noted.

"That's because students in support, management, and hero courses all share the same cafeteria," Iida revealed.

"Trying to not hit people with my wings has been an obstacle," Eva stated as she looked back. "Pretty sure I accidentally knocked down someone earlier."

"But you are always in the air, who could've been that tall for you to hit?" Izuku asked, Eva just shrugged.

Urakaka happily ate her rice. "This rice is delicious!"

"Guys," Izuku sighed. "I'm kinda worried about the class rep thing, I don't think I'm qualified."

"Sure you are," Urakaka stated.

"You'll have Yaoyorzu to help you as well," Eva added.

"You'll be great,"  Iida stated. "Your courage and quick thinking under stress will help make you a worthy leader. Not to mention the strength you've demonstrated. Those are the reasons I voted for you, at least?"

"Iida, you were one of the three?" Izuku asked in surprise.

"Didn't you wanna be rep really badly?" Urakaka asked. "I mean you do look the part. 'Cause of the glasses." Izuku looked at her in alarm.

"I thought you'd be great, Iida," Eva stated. "You were quick to grab the class's attention and orchestrated how we should pick the class rep, that's why I voted for you."

Iida looked up at her surprise, cheeks turned a slight pink, Izuku looked at her in surprise as well. "Wanting a job and being suited to it are quite different things. Observing the Iida family's hero agency has taught me that much."

"Agency?" the three repeated.

"Hold on, what does your family do?" Izuku asked.

"Uh--, Oh,  it's nothing," Iida declined.

"Y'know, I've been wondering something about you," Urakaka admitted. "Admit it, Iida. You're filthy rich!"

"Uh--I was afraid people would treat me differently if they knew about my family," Iida admitted. The three stared at him in wonder, he let out a sigh. "You see, the Iidas have been pro-heroes for generations. It runs in our blood." Eva understood about the family part, she was a Yuki by her father and a Moonbloom through her mother, the Moonblooms were a big name in the human world along with Yukis. Thankfully, people have not fully connected the dots, or really knew to much.

"What?" the three asked at the same time. "That's awesome."

"Are the three of you familiar with Turbo Hero, Ingenium?"

"I know all about him!" Izuku exclaimed.

"According to Izuku, he's a super-popular pro with 65 sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo agency!" Eva explained.

"Don't tell me--" Izuku began.

"He's my elder brother!" Iida stated with complete pride.

"Your family's famous!" Urakaka exclaimed.

"I can't believe it!" Izuku exclaimed.

"You must really look up to him," Eva stated.

"Correct!" Iida beamed at her. "Ingenium is an unmatched commander who honors the hero code.  "As the second oldest Iida son, I strive to be just like him." He lowered his head a little. "However, I think it might be a bit soon for me to be in a real leadership role. You for example. You figured out what the judges were looking for in the practical exam. A rep needs that sort of insight." They stared at him in awe.

"That's the first time I've seen you smile, Tenya!" Urakaka commented. "You should do it more."

"What're you talking about?" Iida asked. "I smile all the time!"

"Ochaco's right," Eva stated. "You always so stern."

"We just met a few days ago," Iida pointed out. "I really do smile all the time. If anyone doesn't smile much, it's you."

"You both should smile more," Ochaho giggled.

"Hey, so about that practical exam--" Izuku began. He got off by the bell. Everyone gasped. "What is that?"

"Warning Level Three security breach," the announcer warned.

"No way!" a guy at the table exclaimed.

"All students, please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion," the announcement continued.

"What's a level three security breach?" Iida asked.

"It means someone's managed to get past the school's barriers!" the guy gasped. "This hasn't happened in my three years here. We should get going!" He jolted out of his seat. Students were rushing out of the lunchroom, and in the hallway; people were pushing each other, trembling over one another. Eva didn't have enough time to get into the air, she was holding on to Izuku as they got pushed through the hall. People kept pushing into her wings. It hurt!

"Stop shoving so hard!" a student shouted.

"Wait, I'm getting trampled!" another student shouted.

"I said stop, stop pushin' me!" the first student shouted.

"Ow!" Urakaka grunted. "This is a total mob!"

"My wings keep getting crushed," Eva grunted as she tried to shove a guy off of her.

"I might be able to get you an opening," Izuku stated as he helped to shove the guy off her. "Then you can get to the air."

"Everyone was quick to react," Iida noted. "As I'd expect from UA students.

"Sure," Izuku agreed as more people got shoved toward them. "But they're also causing a huge panic. " He shoved back, which shoved Eva back, even more, and they ended up getting separated.

"Izuku!" Eva called out.

"Eva!" Izuku called out. "Look for Kacchan!"

"Godspeed, Midoriya! Yuki!" Iida called out to them,

"Oh no, Deku!" Urakaka called it. "Yuki!" As they were pushed and shoved, Eva felt someone grab onto her wing and pull on it.

"Ow!" Eva yelped. "Let go of my wing!" Someone tugged on it again. "Ow!"

"She said to let go," a voice said.

"It's not like I'm doing it on purpose," the guy said, right after that Eva felt her wing being let go. She looked back to see a guy with indigo hair, purple eyes, eyes half-closed, dark circles under them. She looked the other way to see the guy pulling on her wing staring blankly, she then looked back at the purple-haired guy.

"Thank you," Eva said slowly.

"Don't thank me yet," the guy said to her. "My name is Hitoshi Shinso."

"Eva--" She began, her wing grabbed on again, and she got yanked back, slamming into Shinso. "I am so sorry, I didn't have time to get off the ground."  She looked forward to seeing Iida with no glasses spinning through the air, slamming above the doorway.

"Listen up! Everything is okay!" Iida shouted, everyone stopped; they looked up at him. "It's just the media outside. There's absolutely nothing to worry about. Everything's fine! We're UA students. We need to remain calm and prove that we're the best of the best." Students gasped and looked at each other, they finally stopped trying to pile on each other.

"Look, the police are here!" a student exclaimed as they looked out the window.

"Thank goodness," a student breathed. Eva looked back to see her wings all crinkled up, it was going to take a minute to straighten them back out.

"Sorry for hitting you," Eva apologized looking up, the guy was gone. She was surprised, she looked to the side to see Urakaka and Izuku waving to her. Soon they were all back in the class, Eva sat in the back at her desk, she was trying to fix her wings.

"It's time class rep. Let's begin," Yaoyorozu ordered.

"Um, okay, so we need to figure out who the other class officers will be," Izuku trembled even more. "But first, there's something I wanna say. I've thought a lot about this. And I think Tenya Iida should be our class rep!" Tenya gasped. "He was able to capture everyone's attention and get us in line. So I believe that he should be the one leading our class from now on!"

"Yeah, you know what? If Midoriya vouches for him, I'm good," Kirishima agreed. "Plus he was a big help. He totally manned up and took charge, right?

"Yup!" Kaminari confirmed. "Did you notice he looked like the dude on the emergency exit signs when he was on the wall earlier?"

"This is a waste of time," Aizawa said as he woke up from his nap, Izuku yelped. "I don't care who the rep is, just hurry up." He laid back down.

Iida got to his feet. "If Midoriya is nominating me for this job...then I humbly accept. I pledge to carry out the duties of class rep to the best of my abilities!"

"Sounds good," Kirishima gave him a thumbs up. "Emergency Exit!"

"Emergency Exit Iida!" Kaminari stated. "Don't let us down, man!"

"Hello, I got one more vote than him," Yaoyorozu groaned.

"For other class officers, I think Yuki would be a good person or it," Iida stated, everyone looked back at her, and she was surprised. She then looked at Katsuki, he gave her a thumbs up of approval. "It will be helpful to lead with someone that is able to get off the ground so easily."

"I can get behind her," Mina giggled.

"She's one of the few Bakugo seems to respect," Tsu noted. "Ribbit."

Soon, Aizawa was back to leading the class; Eva was back in her normal spot. "Today's training will be a little bit different. You'll have three instructors. Me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you." The students gasped.

"Sir? What kind of training is this?" Sero asked.

"Rescue," Aizawa stated holding up a card. "You'll be dealing with natural disasters,  shipwrecks, stuff like that."

"Disasters, huh?" Kaminari repeated. "Sounds like we're in for a big workout." He turned to Mina.

"Totally!" Mina squealed.

"Real hero stuff," Kirishima stated. "This is what separates the men from the boys. "I'm shakin' with excitement."

"Finally, I'll get to show off how good I am in the water," Tsu gleamed. "Ribbit."

"Guys, I'm not finished yet," Aizawa spoke up. The students gasped. "What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes..." The costumes came into view. "But keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet and they might limit your abilities. This trainings at an off-campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all. Start getting ready. " They all got up, quickly changing. Eva was now outside the building, she was with Bakugo.

"What happened to your wings?" Bakugo asked as he stared at the fluttering gold color.

"They got a bit crushed in the mob earlier," Eva answered as she looked back at them. "Two people pulled on them accidentally," Bakugo grunted. "It was my fault for not getting in the air fast enough; thankfully one of the other students came to my aide." She looked back forward to see Bakugo highly displeased. "Your other gauntlet."

"I'll be fine," Bakugo grunted. "No need to worry about it."

There was a whistle, they looked to see Iida in front of the bus. "Gather around, Class 1-A! Using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently. " He blew the whistle more.

"Iida's kicking it into high gear as our class rep, huh?

" Izuku noted. Soon they were all loaded on the bus. Eva ended up sitting in the back, next to Todoroki. She read a book about the changes to the fairy wings upon getting closer to sixteen, her dad thought it would be best for her to know in advance.

"The bus's open layout ruined my boarding strategy," Iida groaned as he lowered his head.

"Iida you really need to chill," Mina advised.

"If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I wanna say," Tsu began, she turned to Izuku. "About you, actually."

"About me?" Izuku panicked. "What is it, Asui?"

"I told you to call me Tsu," Tsu reminded him.

"Oh, yeah, right," Izuku panicked more.

"That power of yours." Tsu began. "Isn't it a lot like All Might's?"

"What?" Izuku yelped. "Really? You think so, huh? I never really thought about that. I guess it's kind of similar."

"Wait, hold on, Tsu," Kirishima spoke up. "You're forgetting All Might doesn't hurt himself. That makes a huge difference." Izuku sighed. "Still, it must be cool to have a simple augmenting-type A Quirk. You can do lots of flashy stuff with it." He lifted his arm, making it hard and sharp. "My hardening's super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive."

"Oh, no way, I think it's really awesome looking," Izuku disagreed. "You're definitely pro material with a Quirk like that."

"You really think so?" Kirishima asked. "Seems like it'd be easier to be a popular hero if I had something flashier."

"What do you think Yuki?" Mina asked; Eva looked up to see Kirishima waving around his arm.

"It is impressive," Eva commented. "I think it's flashy, and you certainly have the personality to be a popular hero."

"You think so?" Kirishima asked looking at his arm. "Compared to your wings, mine is pretty dull."

"My Navel Laser's got the perfect combination of panache and strength," Aoyama smiled.

"But it's way lame if it gives you a stomach ache, sweetie," Mina stated putting a hand on him.

"Well, if any of our classmates have pro Quirks, it's Todoroki, Yuki, and Bakugo," Kirishima gave out his opinion.

"Sure, but Bakugo's always angry, so he'll never be that popular," Tsu pointed out.

"Uh--What'd you say?" Bakugo demanded as he stood up angrily. "I'll kick your ass!" Eva got out of her seat; she grabbed onto his arm, accidentally smacking Todoroki awake with her wing.

"Ya see?" Tsu pointed as Todoroki picked up the book Eva had. He was amazed to see the writing was in a completely different language. He pulled out his phone taking a picture of it.

"Y'know, we basically just met you, so it's kind of telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage," Kaminari pointed out.

"You're gonna regret the day you applied to this school, you loser!" Bakugo raged at him.

"Katsuki, please!" Eva pleaded; pulling him back.

"This is such a disgusting conversation," Yaoyorozu stated as she put a hand over her mouth.

"Yeah, but it's kind of fun listening to them fight," Urakaka chimed.

"Hey, hey, we're here," Aizawa spoke up. "We're here. Stop messing around."

"Yes, sir," the students responded.

"Whatever," Katuski said at the same time. Soon everyone was off the bus, staring at the campus in wonder, being greeted by another hero.

"Hello, everyone, I've been waiting for you!" Thirteen greeted; all the students gasped.

"It's the space hero, Thirteen," Eva smiled.

"The chivalrous pro who's recused a ton of people from disasters across the world," Izuku gushed, he put his hands over his mouth.

"Woo-hoo!" Urakaka cheered. "Thirteen is one of my favorite heroes!"

"Is it because you both have space-related quirks?" Eva asked, Urakaka nodded even more.

"I can't wait to show you what's inside!" Thirteen gestured to the building behind her.

"This is gonna be awesome!" all the students cheered. Everyone gasped as they stared at the building they entered.

"Holy crap!" Kirishima breathed. "It looks like some kind of amusement park!"

"Amazing," Eva nodded in agreement.

"Can you touch the top?" Haragkure asked as she touched Eva's shoulder.

"For sure," Eva nodded. "After class though." Haragkure squealed with delight.

"A shipwreck. A landslide," Thirteen listed.  "A fire. A windstorm. Et cetera--I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with types of disasters. I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. But, you can call it, USJ!"

"Just like Universal Studios Japan," Everyone thought at the same time.

"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already?" Aizawa asked walking over to Thirteen. "Lemme, guess, he booked an interview instead."

"Actually, it's something else," Thirteen revealed. "Apparently, he did too much hero work on the way to school this morning and used up all his power." Thirteen held up three fingers; Izuku and Eva glanced at each other for a second. "He's resting in the teacher's lounge."

"That man is the height of irresponsibility," Aizawa groaned; he turned to the class. "The clock's ticking. We should get started."

"Excellent!" Thirteen cheered as Aizawa went to stand next to her. "Before we begin, let me just say one thing. Well, maybe two things. Possibly three, four, or five."

"We get it!" Everyone said at the same time.

"Listen carefully," Thirteen advised holding up her gloves. "I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful Quirk. It's called Black Hole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust."

"Yeah, you've used Black Hole to save people from all kinds of disasters before, haven't you?" Izuku asked.

"That's true," Thirteen confirmed. "But my Quirk could also very easily be used to kill." Ochaho, Tenya, Izuku and Eva gasped. "Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous. In our superhuman society. All Quirks are certified and stringently regulated, so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be. Please don't forget that if you lose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly. Even if you're trying to do something virtuous like rescue someone. " Eva and Izuku looked at each other, they both smiled nervously, thinking about the time with the sludge villain. "They looked back forward. "Thanks to Aizawa's fitness tests, you have a solid idea of your Quirk's potential. And because of All Might's combat training, you likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry those lessons over to this class. Today, you're going to learn how to use your Quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help. After all, that's what being a hero is all about. Ensuring the safety of others. That's all I have to say." She bowed a little. "Thank you so much for listening." All the students cheered.

"Right," Aizawa cut into it. "Now that's over..." The electricity above went out; everyone gasped. The water fountain began choppily, they then saw a warped form in the middle of it. A ton of news scents fluttered Eva's nose. A couple of people started to walk through it. One guy had a hand on his face and very dry skin. Eva fluttered up a bit.

"Yuki! Get down!" Aizawa ordered. "Stay together and don't move!" The students gasped more. "Thirteen. Protect the students!"

"Whoa. What is that thing?" Kirishima asked. "Wait, has the training started already? I thought we were rescuing people?"

"I thought it was just going to be rescuing each other," Eva tilted her head.

"Stay back!" Aizawa ordered fiercely as Izuku took a small step forward. They looked to see Aizawa putting on his goggles. "This is real. Those are villains." All the students gasped. Bakugo pulled Eva back, speedily whispering something in her ear.
