Outside on the playground, a group of boys was surrounding a girl with short purple hair and red eyes. She had golden dragonfly wings. The boys all seemed to be preteens and she was only eight years old. The girl was sending wind blasts at them as they tried to get closer.

"Give up Eva!" a boy snarled.

" Stay back!" Eva cried as she blasted one away with some wind.

"Come on, we just want to look at those pretty wings of yours," another sneered as someone grabbed her from behind and shoved her into the ground.

"Let me go!" Eva cried out as she tried to kick him. 

"Not a chance, we can make a fortune off of these!" the first boy laughed as the one who held her started to overpower her.

"Ahh!" Eva cried out in pain. "Please, stop!"

"Oh, keep quiet, it doesn't hurt that bad," the one pulling stated. 

"No one's going to come for you, freak," someone sneered. The boy who held her down yanked harshly. Eva's eyes went wide as they brimmed with tears, the boy had ripped her lower left wing out, and blood splattered everywhere. He smiled happily as he held up the wing. Eva's cried out in pain.

"We could make 400 bucks off these," the second guy stated. "Each!"

"Get another!" the third boy encouraged.

"Take this one," the fourth boy said as he threw a wing at the 6th boy and started to pull at Eva's top right wing.

"Get away from her!" a boy yelled as a rock hit the eighth boy. Eva glanced over to see two boys she went to school with. One had spikey ash blonde hair and the other had messy green hair. It was Katuski Bakugo and Izuku Midoryia. Izuku launched another pebble at the boys. " Pick on someone your own size!"

"Puny twirps," the third boy grunted as Eva's wing went back to being pulled, she cried out, and more blood was spilling out everywhere. 

"Stay away if you know what's good for you," the fourth boy warned as he yanked and pulled out another wing. Eva cried out even harder, the pain was so intense, that she was starting to lose consciousness. 

"I said stay away from her, dammit!" Bakugo yelled as he punched his fist, and explosions erupted. Before Eva could process what had happened, all eight boys had been beaten to a pulp, and all of them ran away crying and screaming. 

Hours later, Eva was at the hospital with her dad and the two boys. After six hours she was allowed to leave, her dad walked in front as Eva walked with the two boys and her three brothers. Her oldest brother Kozu (15) had purple hair that was a bowl cut, purple eyes, and gold. He is 7 years older than Eva while her other brother Dios (12) is 4 years older, had flat black hair that goes to his shoulders red eyes, and gold wings. Her last brother Numa (Gino) is 3 years older (11 years old), has black hair pulled back, and purple eyes

"What did the doctors say?" Izuku asked. 

"They said my wings will grow back," Eva answered.

"And your quirk?" Katuski asked as he had his hands behind his head, elbows in the air.

"It won't work again till my wings are fully grown back," Eva answered. " My quirk is currently damaged."

"For how long?" Bakugo asked.

"Uh," Eva began. "I don't remember."

"6 months," answered Gino. 

"Those bullies are going to pay!" Izuku yelled.

"This isn't a job for a quirkless loser, like you, "Bakugo sneered at the green-haired boy.

"Well, thank you both," Eva said softly. " You didn't have to come to my rescue."

"It's what heroes do," Izuku said. "They come to help those in need."

"Just like All might," Bakugo laughed. "I'm going to be a hero just like him."

"Hm," Eva sounded. " If it wasn't for either of you, I'd probably be dead." Bakugo glared at the quirkless boy, but the words added to his ego. Izuku held out a hand, and Eva looked at it hesitantly before grabbing it. For a short time, Eva had known Izuku, and he was very caring and kind.

They dropped Bakugo off at home, before heading home. Izuku and Eva were neighbors so her going home meant he was going home as well. 

Those boys who picked on her were never seen or heard from again. Eva heard they moved out of the country, just so they wouldn't encounter Bakugo ever. Her wings did grow back, but she had trouble learning how to fly again. Bakugo and Deku both helped her learn how to fly again. It took almost a year, but she eventually got a hang of it again. Those were the only times Bakugo and Deku would get along. Other than that, Bakugo was always trying to beat up Deku, but Eva remained good friends with both of them. At some point, the boys learned that Eva and her family weren't human, but that didn't affect their friendship as badly as Eva thought it would. In fact, Eva was a fairy from the Otherworld, born with a human power, a Quirk.

Years later, those three were now all 14, Izuku and Eva were running through the city trying to get to school. Well, Eva more like flew, ever since she relearned how to fly, she hasn't stopped. She figured it was best to stay in flight just in case someone would try to rip her wings off again. It was much harder to grab her wings while they were in motion.  Now Eva had become older, her wings had grown a little longer than arm's length, her hair went down to her mid back, and her eyes seemed to have stars in them unlike when she was younger. 

"We really should be heading to school," Eva insisted.

"But I want to see the heroes take down the villain!" Izuku insisted as they crossed the crosswalk. Up ahead was a giant person at Tatootin Station. He was disrupting everyday traffic. "That's one huge supervillain!"

" He's almost as tall as Mt. Lady!" Eva gasped. The villain swiped a telephone pole, and easily knocked it down, and people ran screaming. A man in the middle was wearing caution tape items around his waist, head, and wrists. He caught the falling item.

" Oh, nice!" a guy smiled as everyone cheered. " Way to go, Death Arms!"

" The punching hero!" a guy shouted. "I wish I had a quirk that made me super strong." Water then appeared in a line, acting as a barrier.

"Everyone, please stay back," Backdraft ordered. "This area is far too dangerous."

"Woah, the rescue specialist, Backdraft is here?" someone gushed. "He'll make sure we're okay!"

"This guy must be pretty desperate to go full monster in the middle of the city," another said. 

"Do you know what happened?" Eva asked.

"Just some amateur," the man asked as he glanced back at her. " Stole someone's bag and then got himself cornered." Izuku started to go through the crowd.

" A Quirk like that, and he's just a petty thief," the first man grunted.

" Izuku!" Eva gasped as she dropped to the ground. She started to squeeze through the crowd so he wouldn't go too far ahead. "Izuku!" He stuck a hand back, and Eva immediately grabbed it

" I got held up," a man said on his phone. " Train's out. Another villain. I'm not sure when I'm gonna make it into the office." Someone flew by. 

"It's Kamui!" a few people squealed. " We're your biggest fans!" In front of them landed Kamui, he looked like a running tree without its leaves. Kamui jumped as the villain tried to crush him.

" Get away from me or I'll break you, toothpick!" the villain threatened.

" This is gonna be good!" Izuku gasped as they broke into the front of the crowd, they had front-row seats of the fight. The villain swiped at Kamui, and he swung back with his wood style. " It's Kamui Woods! He may be new, but he's making a big name for himself!"

" One look at the grin and I know what you are," the guy next to them began. " A fanboy!"

"Uh--Sort..."Izuku began to panic, and Eva giggled a little. They watched Kamui tie his wood around the villain, swing around, and land on a roof.

" Assault, robbery, and the illegal use of powers during rush hour traffic," Kamui listed. "You are the incarnation of evil." He pointed his arm forward, it grew bigger and shot out, and certain spots became spikey.

"There!" Izuku pointed. " His special move!"

" Come on, Tree Man, show us somethin' flashy!" the guy next to them called out.

" What is his special move called again?" Eva asked.

"The Pre-emptive..." Izuku began.

"Binding..." Kamui said.

"Lacquered Chain Prison!" the two both exclaimed. The wood shot out towards the villain rapidly.

" Canyon Cannon!" a woman shouted as she popped out of nowhere.

" It's Mt. Lady!" Eva gasped as the hero kicked away the villain. She was in her giant form.

" Money, shot, money, shot, money shot," a bunch of fanboys rumbled as they took millions of pictures.

" Piece of cake for the world's next hottest hero," She gushed. " Hi, there, everyone, I'm Mt. Lady." She had long blonde hair, her suit consisted of tan-white, orange, and purple. She had a purple mask, that had horns sticking out. She looked towards everyone with a smile. " And you don't have to worry about this bum anymore."

"Money shot, money shot, money shot," more fanboys rumbled as they took more photos.

"Wait, she's getting all the credit?" Kamui asked as the crowd cheered and Izuku searched through his bag. Everyone followed the crowd as the two giants sunk. They put the villain in the car, Mt. Lady smiled and waved at everyone. Izuku and Eva stayed on the damaged part of the road.

"Giantification, huh?" Izuku mumbled to himself as he wrote in his notebook.

"There he goes again," Eva sighed. Izuku was always jotting down notes on every hero and villain possible, basically anyone with a quirk. He even had a few notes on her, she did find it odd since they were so close, practically siblings. 

" Well, she's definitely got the looks and attitude to be a crowd favorite, and her Quirk is really showy, but it'll be kinda hard for her to get around much in the city without damaging lots of things. That means she might not be very useful."

"What's that fanboy?" the same guy from earlier demanded. "You takin' notes over there? Wanna be a hero, too, huh?" They looked over at the man.

" Ah! Yes!" Izuku brightened up. " More than anything!"

" Come on Izuku!" Eva urged. " If we don't get a move on, we'll be late for school!" She grabbed him and fluttered their way over to Aldera Junior High. As they flew, Izukua returned to muttering and jotting down things in his notebook. They finally arrived at the school, it was just another typical day.

"So. As third-year students, it's time to start thinking seriously about your futures and what to do with your lives," their teacher began. In class, Eva sat next to the window, in the third chair. As long as she kept her wings down and closed, she was allowed to sit anywhere. As long as it didn't block anyone else's view. Next to her was Katuski, he had his legs up on the desk. Two rows over and a desk back was Izuku. Over the years, Katsuki and Eva had become best friends; everyone found it odd, but the two of them. Over the years, the people that picked on Eva had transformed to get her to date them, it annoyed Katsuki greatly." I could pass out some career aptitude tests, but why bother?" He snatched up some papers, and the guy in front orange hair started to grow higher as the guy next to him, fists formed into rocks.  I know you all want to go to the hero track!" Everyone cheered except Eva, Izuku, and Katuski. They all showed off their quirks, besides those three. If Eva wanted to present her quirk, it would just mean a big giant mess to clean up afterward. " Yes, yes, you've got some very impressive Quirks. But now power usage is allowed in school!" Izuku raised his hand timidly. " Get a hold of yourselves.

" Hey, teach," Katuski spoke up. " Don't lump me in with this buncha losers. I'm the real deal, but these guys'll be lucky to end up as sidekicks to some busted D-Lister. Heh." He looked forward.

" You think you're better than us, Katsuki?" a student yelled as they all grew angry.

" Let's go, I'll take you all on!" Katsuki urged.

"Back off," Eva warned as she put a lower wing in front of him.

"Huh. You've got impressive test results," the teacher noted as he looked at his clipboard. " Maybe you will get into UA High."

"He's gonna try for the National School?" a girl gasped.

" That school has .2% acceptance rate!" someone added.

"It's impossible to get into," another groaned.

"With that attitude, it is," Eva pointed out.

"You're trying for that school, also as I recall, Yuki," the teacher recalled. More people gasped.

"But it's impossible," a girl brought up.

"Which is why it's the only place worthy of us," Katsuki sneered. He jumped up and landed on the desk. " Us two aced all the mock tests. Me and Eva here are the only ones at this school who stand a chance at getting in. I'll end up more popular than All Might himself and be the richest hero of all time! People all across the world will know who I am. And it all starts with UA High!"

"Oh yeah, Midoriya, don't you wanna go to UA, too?" the teacher brought up.

" UH--" Izuku panicked as he covered his head. Everyone looked back at him. All the students besides Eva started laughing.

" Midoryia? You're kidding, right?" a kid laughed. Izuku was quirkless, but besides his shortcomings, it didn't stop his dreams of getting in. Eva always found that quite admirable about him, reminded her of heroes from long ago and in her village, her family had told her all about.

"There's no way you're getting into the hero course without a Quirk!" another taunted.

"Leave him, alone guys!" Eva insisted.

" Well, actually they got rid of that rule," Izuku brought up as he stood up. " I could be the first one," Katsuki growled and slammed his hand into Izuku's desk, blowing it up.

" Katsuki!" Eva cried out as she fluttered over to the two. 

" Listen, up Deku!" Katsuki warned. " You're even worse than the rest of these damn rejects, you Quirkless wannabe. You really think they'd let someone like you in when they could have me?"

 " Huh? No, wait!" Izuku began to panic. " You've got it all wrong! Really! I'm not trying to compete against you." He backed up quickly, hitting his head on the chalkboard. " You gotta believe me! It's just that I've wanted to be a hero since I was little. I may not have a Quirk, but I can still try my hardest, can't I?"

"You'd never be able to hang with the best of the best, You'd die in the exams!" Katsuki growled as both hands smoked. " Defenseless Izuku. This school's already crappy. You really wanna embarrass it more by failing so hard?" Students laughed.

"You're being harsh Katsuki," Eva said as she got in between the two.

" Face it, Eva," Katsuki said as the smoke disappeared from his palms. " He doesn't have what it takes to be an actual hero. He's not as you see him." The class soon ended, and everyone walked out as Eva stayed behind with Izuku. She doesn't like going home alone, and she doesn't trust a lot of people. If anyone is to walk her home it's either Katsuki or Izuku.

"What are you looking at?" Eva asked as he scrolled through his phone. 

"That fight from this morning," Izuku answered. " It's all over the news. Better write some notes down before I forget anything." He went to put his notebook away, but Katsuki pulled Eva back and took the notebook away.

"Step outside Eva," Katsuki ordered. " I have some business with Deku."

"But-" Eva began.

"EVA!" He growled, and she whimpered and quickly fluttered out of the classroom. She went to wait outside, she sat down at the fountain. Suddenly something splashed behind her. She looked back to see Izuku's notebook.

"Katsuki," Eva sighed. She really wished he wasn't such a jerk to Izuku. Moments later Katsuki showed up as Eva was in the fountain.

"Get out of there, you moron," Katsuki warned. " You know what happens when your wings get wet." 

"Did you really have to destroy Izuku's notebook?" Eva asked as she picked it out of the water. 

"It's pathetic," Katsuki huffed.

"He put a lot of work into it," Eva said. "I like it." 

 " Damn nerd," He grunted. " Just leave it, I'm walking you home today."

"What about-?" Eva began.

"We need to discuss UA," Katsuki said.

"Oh," Eva began. She got out of the fountain, she put the notebook on the edge. Katsuki grabbed her shoes back on, quickly putting them on her feet, and the two headed to her home. 

" Are you sure about going to UA with me?" Katsuki asked. 

"Yes," Eva answered. "I've become a lot stronger since we were four."

"Good," Katsuki grunted. " It's going to be tough."

" I know," Eva said. " It is UA."

"Something's bothering you," Katsuki noted as he looked at her.

" It is quite strange to not be going to the same school as Izuku," Eva admitted. She glanced at him, he seemed angry once again. " I am his neighbor, it'll be quite strange to not be around him, in general, all the time."

"Fine," Katsuki grunted as a small explosion occurred, " If you are so sure, you're ready, then walk the rest of the way home...alone."

"Alone!" Eva gasped.

"You need to overcome your fears, I am not going to be around all the time," Katsuki said. "And if you want to be brave like All Might, you are going have to go alone at times. Starting now." He turned and started to walk away. " Don't even try following me." Eva blinked, she didn't want to be brave like All Might, she wanted to be brave like Izuku, Katsuki, and her brothers.
