Chapter 4
VIVIANE
"I...I'm sorry..." I apologize as he continues to fuck this girl's brains out. It takes me a while to realize the girl is Mila, the captain of the volleyball team.
She doesn't even look at me, which makes me believe other people might have walked in on him before and this guy doesn't give a shit that I'm literally here invading their space.
I tear my eyes away from them and hurry downstairs towards my bedroom, but moans get louder, and she keeps repeating a name "Finn"
I shut the door behind me. My heart is beating wildly against my chest as the scene continues to flash in front of my eyes. The memory of his muscled back and his trim waist is imprinted into my brain, along with the elegant way he moves in and out of her.
Finn has shoulder length shaggy blond hair, and eyes the color of metallic silver. Not to mention, just like Aiden, he's built like a bull. Broad chest with dusting of golden hair, and a thick, muscled arms. He's probably just an inch taller than Aiden, with a much sharper jawline.
I fan myself because suddenly I'm feeling hot in a fully air-conditioned room.
I realize I have to walk out of the room if I want to use the bathroom in the hallway, and I don't want to risk listening to another round of the girl's moans.
I reach out for the box of donuts and realize that they are gone. I must have left them on the table in the hallway. I curse myself for the stupidity. I hope they don't polish off my donuts by the time I get there, otherwise there will be two murders on my hands.
Few minutes later, there's a knock on my bedroom door.
It's Finn standing there at the door, fully dressed this time. He smiles at me as if I didn't catch him screwing a girl in the open. He holds the box out towards me. "You left your donuts back there."
"Oh, right. Thanks." I take it from him.
I start to close the door when he stops me. "Let me introduce myself properly. I'm Finn Jacobs. Sorry about earlier. Aiden told me you wouldn't be home until late at night and I didn't realize you had the key, too."
"It's fine." No, it's not.
I'm starting to reconsider my decision to stay in this apartment. If his PDA (public display of affection) is a usual occurrence in this house, then I'm going to have to think of moving out into an apartment that looks like a matchbox. I literally don't care if he brought the entire volleyball team to fuck, just as long as he did it in the privacy of his room.
That's exactly why you even have a bedroom in the first place.
I don't know why I'm even getting furious when I don't have a right to. Finn is paying half of the rent with Aiden, or at least the utilities, and I'm paying none, so I shouldn't even be allowed to say shit about this situation. Beggars can't be choosers, and I'm not even a beggar. I'm literally living off their crumbs.
The only person I should be cursing is my father. If it weren't for him putting me in this situation, I wouldn't be paying off his debts to these shady individuals who keep threatening to kidnap me and sell my organs if I didn't pay them back.
"I made dinner, so please join me." He offers.
I shake my head. "I don't want to intrude."
"Mila already left, so it's just us now."
I open the box of donuts. "You can have some if you like."
Asshole picks my favorite one, "Thanks," He swallows it in two bites like I would change my mind and snatch it if he didn't finish it fast enough, and then he has the audacity to lick the chocolate smeared over his fingers in the most seductive way I've watched a man do it, "Mmmm...so good."
"Are you joining me for dinner or what? Just so you know, I make some mean tacos. You'll regret if you don't try them."
"Then I guess I can't refuse the offer."
Finn does make some mean tacos. The chicken is perfectly cooked and the spices that blend with it tastes amazing.
It wouldn't be so bad living with these boys. From what I've noticed, they even keep the house clean. According to Aiden, Finn is a clean freak. He hates when something is not found where it's supposed to be and I'm starting to see what he means by that because Finn cleans the counter with a rag and arranges the plates on the racks in the order of their sizes.
"The food was delicious, thanks!"
"It's all good." He smiles. "I was a bit worried when Aiden told me a girl was going to come live with us."
"Why?"
He gives me a mischievous smile. He looks like a surfer boy who should be a Calvin Kleinmodel. While Aiden's got the rugged dark good looks of an attractive movie star with a teasing personality who keeps some secrets underneath, Finn, on the other hand, has the boy-next-door, prom king look with a charming smile. Both the boys are exceptionally gorgeous, to the point where their beauty is blinding. If I had to choose, I wouldn't be able to.
I'd just want to keep them both.
You don't stand a chance with either of them, Vivi and besides, you don't want to complicate your life by getting involved with some college rich boys. Your goal is to earn enough money to pay off the debts and save your organs. Focus.
From now on I'm going to call Aiden, Frat boy and Finn would be Surfer boy.
He scratches his hair. "This has always been like a bachelor's pad for us, so I was a little worried how it would be with a girl thrown in the mix."
"And are you still worried now?"
"Hmm, not anymore." He chuckles. "I think we'll get along just fine."
"You can just pretend I'm not in the house. I won't cause any trouble."
"I think it would be a pleasant change to have you here."
With that, I know Finn has also accepted me as part of his roommate.
"Also, I'd like to warn you about Aiden." He says as he steals another donut from the box.
"About Aiden?"
"Well, he's a nice guy most of the time, but never get on his bad side. I've known him for a couple of years, and I know for a fact that when something pisses him off, he's like a completely different person."
"Oh."
That was news. Aiden seemed like an easy-going guy.
"I'll keep that in mind."
"We have game nights in this house. You're welcome to stay and watch with us. We also have our own schedule for playing Playstation so the TV isn't always free."
"That's okay." I wave my hand. "I'm not much of a TV person, anyway." Plus, there's a huge-ass screen mounted in my bedroom that Aiden said I can use and it has a Netflix and other subscriptions on it.
"Then what are you? A serial killer documentary person?"
I laugh. "You must be a psychic."
He plants his hands on the kitchen counter and gives me his full attention, a huge grin on his face, "Among other things. Does watching serial killer documentaries help you sleep better?"
"Yup."
"Ah, then I guess Aiden and I need to be more careful in this house."

FINN
I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about Viviane that I like. She has the type of personality that puts others at ease and she didn't automatically try to seduce me as soon as I met her, which is a bonus. It's not always that I meet a girl who is interested in keeping a conversation going rather than treating me like a sex symbol.
Both Aiden and I have problems connecting with girls because of the way we look, and because we come from money. Most people want to take advantage of it.
Viviane seems like she's focused on her goal, whatever that it is. According to her stepbrother Daniel, his sister just needed space to live because she's been evicted from her previous home. I don't know what happened back then, and I don't want to pry into her personal space, but looking into her eyes, I can tell the girl has had a hard life.
I hear the key turning and Aiden walks into the apartment. He looks like he needs some sleep.
"Hey man, where's Viviane?" He throws his backpack on the floor along with his socks and shoes before stepping into the kitchen.
Aiden here thinks he's still seven and his momma is gonna pick up his shoes and socks and put them in the shelves near the door.
"In her room."
He nods and takes the leftover tacos (without even washing his hands) and grabs a beer before sitting his ass on the couch.
"Dude, I have something to ask."
He starts scrolling through numerous movies on the TV. "Since when did you start with the formalities?"
I shrug. "Just thought I should get it out of my way."
"Whatever."
"Are you interested in Viviane?"
He tears his eyes away from the screen to look at me. "You mean for dating?"
"Yeah." I say.
"My dude, I'm sorry to break it to you, but she's off-limits."
"Why the fuck?"
"She's Dan's stepsister. If either of us even thinks of dating her, he'll wring our necks."
"He said that to you?" I ask.
Aiden takes a swig of his beer, "Not in those clear words, but he implied."
"I see."
"I'm sorry, Finn, but you just can't."
"Alright, cool."
I have a feeling Aiden is lying because he wants her all to himself.
