VICTORIA RAN INTO the hospital's room, and froze when she saw the blonde in the bed, unconscious, and a tube down in her throat. "No," she muttered to herself before she felt herself fall to her knees. "No. This can't be happening. I can't keep losing people. I can't." She began sobbing, and didn't even notice that anyone else was in the room until a hand was on her shoulder. She let out a small yelp, and looked up through her blurry eyes to see Alcide's worried expression. "Alcide? What — what are you doing here?"
"Come here," he whispered and she was quick to bury her head into his chest, sobbing loudly. "It'll be alright. The vamp who did this is dead."
"What?" She murmured and and pulled back a little, and glanced over to where Alcide was looking. Her bottom lip trembled when she saw Tara and Jason standing there. "Jay!" She exclaimed and got up, running into her cousin's arms. "Who did this to her? Tell me!"
Tara spat out, "Bill did this!"
Tori gasped loudly and turned to Tara with wide, tearful eyes. "Bill... did this to Sookie?" Her face was unreadable for a few seconds before her eyes hardened and she clenched her jaw. "He did this?!" She shouted and whirled around to stare at Sookie. "If — if he wasn't already dead, I would kill him myself!" She grounded out, her eyes hardened, and if looks could kill and Bill was alive, he would definitely die right then and there. "That fucking bastard!"
"Damn," Lafayette murmured out as he stepped into the room. "I have never heard that tone of voice before.
"You have no clue what I have went through these past two days!" She shouted, and swallowed thickly. "I — I am so full of rage and it only amplified when I learned about this. I am so done with this shit!"
"We're here for you Tori, alright?" Alcide spoke calmly seeing as he understood the rage.
And that's when a whoosh sound was heard, and Bill stopped beside Tori. She let out a growl of anger, and Bill was shocked, so he didn't react when she pinned him against the wall with an angry scowl. "You motherfucker!" She yelled out, her face turning red in anger. "She's dying because of you."
"I can help," he told her as he stared her in the eyes, not trying to get out of her hold.
"The fuck you can!" Tara screamed at him, boiling in rage.
"You're the one who did this!" Tori shouted in his face, clenching her jaw so hard that she was surprised that it didn't break. "You go near my cousin, I'll rip your fucking heart out!"
"There's no time," Bill told her gently and she slammed him harder against the wall before stepping back.
"You heal her and then you leave or I'll kill you," she threatened harshly and kept close to her cousin as Bill took the needle out of the IV bag, and stabbed it into his arm letting the blood flow.
Everyone could see the color returning to Sookie's face as his blood healed her. He then pulled the needle out, along with the tubes as they waited.
After a few hours, Sookie's brown eyes opened. She softly smiled at her cousin before she spotted Bill who was still in the room only because they wanted to make sure it worked. She sat up, screaming at the top of her lungs which shocked everyone.
Tori was quick to run her hand through a Sookie's hair, trying to calm her down.
Alcide and Tara jerked awake from their spots on the chairs, and the werewolf was quick to grab Bill by his shirt, growling. "Back off!"
"Keep out of this!" Bill hissed back, his fangs out.
"I don't take orders from vamps!" Alcide growled out, his eyes narrowed.
"Get away from her!" Tara screamed at Bill, shoving at him.
"Tara, he saved her life," Lafayette commented which made Tori only scoff at him.
"After he almost fucking killed her!"
A nurse ran into the room, looking around the room with wide eyes and mouth agape. "Is everything okay there?"
Lafayette nodded, trying to get her to leave the room. "Yeah, she had a nightmare.
Jason made his way over to Sookie's other side, and ran his hand through her blonde hair, same as Tori. "Sook? Say something." When her eyes didn't leave Bill, Tori and Jason shared a look. "You brain damaged?"
Sookie swallowed quickly before stuttering, "I— I need to speak to Bill, alone."
"So he can finish what he started?" Tara asked incredulously. "Hell, no."
"Tara," Sookie whispered, pleading with her eyes. "Everyone, please." She glanced to Tori who was biting her lip, glaring at Bill.
"Y'all heard her. Out!" Lafayette shouted, gently shoving Tara out of the room, Alcide and Jason slowly following.
Tori glanced at Sookie with a sigh. "Scream if you need help, alright. I won't hesitate to stake him," she said before leaving the room, giving Bill a last glare before closing the door.
IT WAS LATER that night, and after making sure that Sookie was alright and that Alcide was comfy, Tori went to bed. The last few days have been chaotic and she just wanted it all to stop. Between being held hostage, killing someone, having nightmares, Sookie almost dying by someone she once trusted, and Eric not coming to help her, she felt like her world was caving in, and there was nothing she could do about it.
She tossed and turned in her sleep, her body covered in sweat, her heart pounding erratically against her rib cage. And in her dream world, she was taking a shower, trying to wash away all her worries and guilt.
And then, her brown eyes snapped open, and stood in front of her was Connor, blood seeping out of his neck where a glass bottle was.
"You will pay for this," he taunted, grabbing ahold of her neck, strangling her, cutting off her circulation and her scream for help.
Right when she was losing consciousness, she gasped, sitting up in her bed, her hands coming up to her neck. She looked around with wide, fearful eyes before she laid back down, and started sobbing into her pillow.
She knew her other nightmares and hallucinations were caused by the hunter curse which she was free of because of Jeremy. Now, this was just her own self-conscious because she had every right to be disgusted with herself and be full of guilt. After all, she killed someone, no matter how bad he was.
After she stopped sobbing, she got up from her bed and looked out the window at Sookie who was laying in a blanket, trying to get a tan.
Swallowing, she went towards her dresser, and pulled out a black and white poka-dot bikini, and then went into the bathroom.
After she got into her bikini, put on some much needed sunscreen, she made her way outside, and laid down beside Sookie, gripping her hand. "Hey," she whispered.
"Hi," Sookie whispered back before Tara joined them, laying on the other side of Sookie. "I used to do this all the time. Just lie in the sun till the whole world faded away."
"And your Gran would yell about you putting on sunscreen," Tara continued with a small smile.
They spoke at the same time, "You're frying like a fritter in a pan."
Tori snorted and commented, "I wish I came here more often. The three of us could've been out here getting yelled out by Gran." She gulped, missing the old woman who had a personality that everyone loved.
Sookie sighed. "My whole life's at night now."
Tara looked over at her as Tori clenched her jaw. "You gonna go back to Bill again?"
The blonde shook her head. "No one's ever hurt me so bad." She propped herself up on her elbows, Tara and Tori following in suit. "I trusted him with every part of me. Maybe it's stupid to trust someone that much."
"You didn't ask for any of this," Tori commented as she recalled that she also didn't ask for any of it. At first, it was like a new adventure, something to get her mind off of her parents dying, but then it turned into a never ending horror show.
Sookie shook her head and bit her lip. "I knew what he was the minute I laid eyes on him. I knew he was dangerous. And I ain't gonna lie, that's part of what I fell in love with."
Tara rose a brow. "Bill gave you his blood before your first date."
Sookie looked offended as she sighed. "He saved my life."
"We all know what drinking their blood does to you," Tara told her a little harshly. "Maybe he glamoured you into thinking you were in love."
Sookie pursed her lips. "Glamouring doesn't work on me." She closed her eyes, trying to not cry. "It might be over between me and Bill, but what we had was real. And I can't just flip a switch and turn my heart off."
Tara scoffed loudly as she sat up fully. "You — you know what you sound like? One of those sad country songs about dumb bitches, who let their men cheat and beat on them all for the sake of true love. Let me tell you something. At the end of those songs, the dumb bitches always end up dead."
Tori grew defensive of her cousin, glaring at Tara as she sat up fully, too. "Are you calling her a dumb bitch?!"
Tara rolled her eyes. "I'm sorry, but if you go back to that vampire, that's what you are."
"Hey!" Tori exclaimed loudly. "Even though I agree with you on the fact she shouldn't run back to Bill, calling her a dumb bitch is overreacting. She can't choose who she loves. The heart wants what the heart wants." Her own heart clenched as she thought about Eric. He was the first person she actually took full interest in and ended up falling for, but he betrayed her trust by not being there for her when she needed him.
Now, usually she wouldn't react like this, but she has his blood so he knows how she is feeling at every moment. So, for him to not come running to her when he feels absolute fear and self-loathing, then he obviously doesn't care.
Sookie scoffed and then gestured to Tori with her eyes. "What I can do in my brain, it's every bit as deadly as Bill's fangs. I know what it's like to be afraid of my own body, to not be sure what it's gonna do next. I've killed. I may not have cheated, but I wanted to. Me and Bill, we ain't so different."
"Yes, you are!" Tara shouted, huffing. "I saw the look in his eyes. Same as Franklin's: cold and crazy. Like a rattlesnake."
Tori furrowed her brows. "Wait, what? Who's Franklin?" She asked, confused about what she was talking about.
Sookie's eye's widened as she sat up, looking at Tori as she realized that she didn't know what was happening. "Oh, my god! I forgot to tell you."
"Tell me what?" Tori asked, fearing the worse.
"Eric is working with Edgington," the blonde told her in one breath. "He held us hostage and didn't help Tara when this crazy ass vampire was pretty much torturing her. She fed from her, had sex with her, wanted to turn her. She had to kill him."
Tori gasped loudly as she felt pain strike her heart. Not only did Eric not come to check on her, he was working with the enemy. Tears stung in her eyes before she jumped up, and ran into the house.
On her way in, she ran into Alcide who gently grabbed her by her arms, staring into her eyes with worry. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not," she murmured before falling against his chest, sobbing loudly.
IT WAS THAT night, and while Sookie was in the kitchen looking through a photo album, Tori was in the living room, on the couch, wrapped in a blanket.
It was quiet for a long time, and Tori ended up slowly falling asleep, but as soon as her eyes closed, Sookie let out a shout.
"Who's there?!"
Tori ran into the room and skidded to a stop to see a blonde halfway through the doorway. The blonde muttered, "Sookie."
Sookie lowered the shotgun she was holding and placed it on the table. "Hadley?! Oh, my God!" Tori's eyes grew wide as she remembered her second cousin, and watched as Sookie pulled the girl into a hug. "Where have you been?"
"Is — is Gran here?" Hadley stuttered out, looking around, her blue eyes landing on Tori. "Vici?" She asked and then rushed towards the brown head girl, pulling her into a hug. "What are you doing here?"
Sookie and Tori shared a look and then looked back to the blonde with bangs.
A few minutes later after explaining Hadley what happened, she was sobbing. "I should've called, and said I was sorry for running away from that rehab."
"None of that matters anymore," Sookie told her lightly, making sure it wasn't her fault.
"You're right." She nodded, looking between them. "Gran is fine wherever she is. We're the ones who are fucked." Hadley watched as they furrowed their brows. "I didn't come here to visit. I've got a message for you from Eric Northman."
"Eric?" Tori hated the fact that she perked up upon hearing his name. She scowled to herself and swallowed thickly.
Sookie gripped Tori's hand as she hurriedly asked their cousin, "What's he done to you?"
"Nothing too bad yet," Hadley commented with a gulp, wiping away her tears. "But if I don't tell you this exactly, it ain't gonna be pretty."
"Tell us what?" Tori asked, still wanting to see the good in Eric.
"Russell is coming for you both," the blonde said as she glanced between Sookie and Tori. "Don't trust Bill."
"Oh, and I'm supposed to trust Eric?" Sookie retorted with an eye roll. "He betrayed our trust, and broke Tori's heart by not coming through with his promises." She then sighed and tilted her head. "What does all this have to do with you, anyway?"
Hadley looked to Tori at that, ignoring Sookie's question. "He also told me to tell you think he misses you and that he wishes he could've been there for you, but he has something else to do first."
Tori's heart swelled at that thought before she pushed the feeling to the back of her mind. "What's more important than his girlfriend needing him in more than one crisis?"
Hadley shrugged and got up quickly. "I've gotta go."
"Hadley, wait!" Sookie shouted as her and Tori chased after Hadley. "You can't just leave like this."
"I've got to." She then turned to the cousin's as she reached the door. "And so should you both. They're coming."
"Russell was powerful enough to kidnap Bill, and God knows what he's got on Eric," Tori spoke up before she had time to think through her response. "If he wants us, he's gonna find me, no matter where we run." She hated the fact that she was already slowly forgiving Eric.
"Sookie, Victoria, if they find you, they're gonna do horrible things," the blonde told them with wide, tearful eyes. "I'm so sorry," she sobbed out, going towards the door. "I hope one day you can forgive me."
"Forgive you for what?!" Sookie shouted seeing as it was mostly aimed at her.
Sookie must've read Hadley's mind because she didn't say anything when she ran out the door, closing it behind her.
Tori turned to Sookie with wide eyes. "What did she say?"
Sookie exhaled deeply. "She said that she was the one who told them about me."
Tori clenched her jaw and threw her hands up above her head. "I hate this!" She turned to stare Sookie in the eyes. "I want a break."
Sookie nodded and pulled the younger girl into a hug. "Me too."
LATER ON, Sookie and Victoria was up in the blonde's room, each holding a shotgun, getting ready for a fight they knew was coming.
Tori really hope that she wouldn't have to kill someone, but deep down, she knew it was inevitable. She hated the thought of killing another being, it made her want to throw up. But, she also knew that she was willing to do whatever it took to protect someone she loves.
As they stood by the window, they heard a loud howl, and anxiously waited, listening to Bill and Jessica fighting the werewolves downstairs.
Even though, both Sookie and Tori didn't like Bill at the moment, probably will never again, they couldn't lie to him once he came running when he felt Sookie's fear.
Once they heard footsteps coming their way, they both knew who was on their way to them. They glanced to one another and nodded, cocking their shotguns, and aiming them at the door with determined expressions.
"Open up, little piggy's!" Debbie shouted on the other side of the door, trying to bust it down. "Or I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!" The door was kicked in so harshly that the threshold even fell apart. The cousin's jumped, but kept their guns aimed at Debbie who smirked at them.
"I don't wanna kill you, but I will," Sookie commented and Tori nodded in agreement.
"I got nothing left to live for anyway. You took it all."
"You brought this on yourself, Debbie!" Sookie shouted, snarling at the red head who only ruined her life.
"Take another step and I will shoot," Tori warmed as she pointed the shotgun at the woman's heart. Maybe if she does it quick enough, it won't hurt.
"Why don't you just pull the trigger now?" Debbie asked as she was now only about five feet away from them. "What do you care?"
"There's people that love you for reasons I ain't even gonna try to make sense of," Sookie told her, wanting to knock some sense into the woman, but at this point, there was no point in it.
Debbie started to cry. "Wow. Talking to me about love. How noble and shit." She scoffed. "Bitch, please. I see right through you. You fuck vampires and werewolves because your own kind rejects you. They know you're nothing but a freak!" She launched at Sookie, and they wrestled with the blonde's shotgun.
Tori let out a yell and went to hit the werewolf with the butt of the gun, but Debbie dodged at the right time, kicked the doppelgänger in the stomach harshly, sending her reeling back. The shotgun fell from her gasp, and slid across the floor towards the door.
Sookie snarled at seeing her cousin trying to stand up, but having trouble breathing. "I've had vampire blood. Lots of it!"
"Me too. Your boyfriend's yummy," Debbie egged on, and Sookie let out a scream as she punched Debbie in the nose.
"Hell yeah!" Tori shouted as she used a desk to pull herself up into a standing position. She figured she was going to sport a large ass bruise on her abdomen tomorrow.
Debbie punched Sookie in the mouth and began chuckling over at Tori. "You're both pathetically weak."
Determination and adrenaline took over Tori t those words, and she let out a battle scream before running towards Debbie, throwing punch after punch.
And after a few seconds of Debbie getting used to the punches, she decided to change it up, and sent a roundhouse kick to her head, throwing her to the floor harshly.
"Fuck you!" Debbie yelled and wiped blood off of her face before standing up, yanking Sookie by her hair, and throwing her against the bathroom door.
Sookie got up and then ducked in time as Debbie slammed a chair against the spot where her head used to be.
Tori quickly came up behind Debbie and jumped up into the air, sending a powerful kick to her back, making her face-plant into the door, a loud crack coming from her nose which told them that her nose was broken.
"How do you like that, bitch?!" Tori shouted and grabbed Debbie by her hair, dragging her backwards.
Debbie screamed in pain, but did a backflip, and grabbed Tori by her throat, slamming her against the floor harshly. She grinned as she strangled the younger girl, a crazed look in her eyes.
"Get off of her!" Sookie shouted, yanked the werewolf off of her cousin, and then slammed her face into the mirror.
Debbie screamed again and spun around quickly, sending punches to the blonde's face, and then slammed her fist into her stomach. Sookie shouted in pain, and Tori was quick to recover, jumping on the werewolves back.
That was a big mistake because Debbie then body-slammed her onto the floor before turning around and sending punches to her face.
"I will kill you!" Tori screamed through the pain and tears, and kicked her legs up, sending Debbie flying onto the bed. Sookie was quick to pounce, and punch the red head repeatedly in the face. Blood was flying all over the place, but none of the three girls payed any mind to that or the destruction around them. They didn't even know what was happening outside of their very own house.
Sookie and Debbie found their way onto the floor, and Debbie was slamming Sookie's head into the floor. Tori shouted in protest and grabbed scissors that were nearby her, and she pounced onto the werewolf, slamming the scissors into the woman's leg.
Debbie roared and flung Tori off of her, giving Sookie enough time to yank the scissors from her legs, and swipe her across the face.
Quickly, Sookie scrambled up from the floor, grabbed Tori, and then they ran to their respectful shotguns, aiming them at Debbie.
"Get out of our house, bitch!" Sookie shouted at the top of her lungs as both her and Tori tried to hold themselves up, even though they wanted to succumb to the pain.
Debbie stood up, holding her bleeding leg while her left cheek bleed profusely. "Fuck you!"
Tori tsked and aimed the shotgun beside Debbie before firing. She smirked and took a threatening step forwards. "I am no longer going to allow people to walk over me and try to hurt those I love. So you better fucking leave before I shoot again. And this time... I won't miss."
Both cousin's watched with smirks as Debbie jumped out of the window, turning into a wolf before running off.
