(4:17 p.m)

"You took the kids for me ? " Cora asked her sister checking on her babies.

"Yeah, we're at mom's now. I'm going to make sure they do their homework." She answered as Cora nodded her head.

"Okay, thanks. And don't forget, Acacia is still in punishment, so after the homework no TV and others electronics things, she can read a book though. And no cookies or cakes either , tell that to mom. As soon as I'm done, I'll come to pick them up. I'll call before."

"Why did she fight for again ? " Sancy asked still not believing what her little sister told her about her daughter a month ago. She knew her niece was something else, but she never thought she was capable to do something like that.

"I already explained ! This girl was laughing at her because she doesn't have a father and then Acacia hit her a few times with a tray, before to jump on her and snatch the other girl's hair AND to make her nose bleed. Oh ! She punched her in the face too. That girl had to go to the hospital to make sure that she had any concussion." Cora told the entire story again. 

"Damn ! Are you sure their father is not Mr.Ali ? But, personally I think my baby girl was right to do this. That little bitch should've stayed quiet and thought twice before to get my baby angry."

Cora rolled her eyes. If she was Acacia and someone had told her something about her father, she would've sent her to the hospital too, but as her mother had always told her and her sister, violence is not always the solution, "Don't ! I know, violence blah blah blah, but when people keep searching for these punches, then give it to them and maybe they'll understand. That's what daddy was always telling us." Sancy said marking a good point.

"Yeah, I know." Cora said replaying their father's words in her head.

"So...she's free again ? " Sancy asked curiously.

"No ! What I look like saying no one time, then yes. I'm a woman of my words ! Plus, it's only for one more day, then she'll be free again. So, respect my authority and do like I said ! " 

"Okay, mummy ! See you later, girl ! And good luck with Mr. On Twenty Cloud ! "

Cora shook her head, "Thank you, bye." And with that said they hung up.

She was nervous. Her heart was beating too fast, her breath was slowing little by little, her hands and legs were shaking and she started feeling a headache coming. She was anxious and about to pass out. She just wanted to run away, but she couldn't do it. She had to face reality and reality was that she was pregnant with the baby of a total stranger. Yeah, she didn't have her periods and had to take a doctor appointment. It's been a week that she found out that she was carrying a child since two weeks already. She wanted so much this situation to just be a nightmare, but it wasn't. She pinched her arms several times, even asked her mother and sister to do it for her, but nothing changed. She had to accept the consequences of her act.

It seemed like it was just sex, but no actually it was a life changing. She was going to be a mother again. In nine months exactly, maybe eight if the baby chooses to get out earlier. And if it was even more early ? Cora was not ready, but she had to be an adult. 

This morning when Kalvin called her, the thing became more real to her. She was hoping that he had forgotten, so she would've given herself too more weeks before to let him know. Cora was scared. She didn't know what was going to happen. Maybe she was going to live the same disaster as her first pregnancy. It was horrible and she didn't want to go through it a second time. All the hours of crying, disappointments, lies, the betrayal and the heartbroken were a very bad experience that she didn't need to live again. She promised herself to not let this happen to her. Thinking about that caused a single tear to run on her left cheek. She wiped it immediately, then took a deep breath to calm her nerves.

You can do it Cora, she encouraged herself.

She checked her make-up quickly in the rear-view mirror and then got out of her car. She adjusted her dress and made her way in the restaurant. Kalvin and her decided to meet up at D€nis€'s at 4:30 p.m to talk, catch up and for lunch also, since both hadn't time to eat. Cora had to lie and told him that she needed him because she was organizing a kind of celebrity party at the club. Kalvin believed it, what was good. She couldn't tell him the news through the phone. 

"Good afternoon, ma and welcome to Denise's. I'm Joey, the hostess. Do you have a reservation ? "

Cora smiled and nodded her head, "Yes. Uh..look under Ryans, Kalvin Ryans." She answered causing Joey to narrowed his eyes at her. Cora saw that and returned him the face expression.

"Uh...Okay. Let me see. Uh...yes, there is a reservation. Are you Cora McKall ? " Cora searched her ID card in her purse and showed him, so he wasn't going to make them waste more time. She could understand why they were so careful, since Kalvin was a celebrity, but he hadn't had to look at her this way, "Hey, are you not the owner of this club ? Uh...what is it again...Uh...Oh yeah ! Diamond's ! Are you ? " He asked smiling as he led her at a table in the back.

"Yes, I am." She responded as he pulled the chair out for her, "Thanks."

"Oh, we went with my friends the other night and let me tell you that you did an amazing job with it ! We're definitely going to come back."

Cora beamed proudly, "Oh and when exactly ? " She asked curiously.

"Oh ! Tonight, since it's Friday, you know."

"Okay. I'll be there. You and your friends can even have a free drink. Just tell the barmaid is offered by the house. And don't forget to tell ALL your friends about Diamond's."

"I won't ! Well, it's really nice to talk with you, but I have to go. And sorry if I had an little attitude earlier, but I didn't want to have problems, Mr.Ryans is our best customer and a woman already tried to come here to eat for free because she was supposed to be his girlfriend or whatever. It was crazy ! Well, a waiter will come soon. Have a nice meal ! "

She thanked him and he walked away. Not even two minutes later, a young girl with a little notepad arrived in front of the table. She had her red hair pulled into a high bun, her make-up was professional, and she was wearing the white uniform that consisted of a shirt and skirt that reached the knees with black heels. Her skin was the same tone as Cora and she had wonderful green eyes, that turned into blue with the sunlight. She was beautiful and seemed to be a nice girl. 

Cora smiled back at her, "Good afternoon miss ! My name is Melissa and I'm going to be your waitress for today. Do you want a drink or an appetizer by waiting on your guest ? "

Cora was starving ! She had just eat the breakfast until now, that was a simple bowl of cereals. She hadn't time to make something big, so that's all she got and now her stomach was being loud letting her know that she needed to feed her body...and the baby also. For a moment, she totally forgot about it. 

"No, thank you. He's going to be here soon, maybe come back in ten minutes." Melissa nodded her head and walked away. Cora checked the time on her Michael Kors watch and it was telling her that it was 4:35 p.m. She was hoping he was not going to be too late. 

She put her elbow on the table and placed her head in her hand. She sighed looking out the window. Today, the weather was good, even if it was a bit too hot for her liking. 

"Hey ! Sorry, there was traffic. How are you ? " She looked up and almost fainted. That man ! It seemed like he was finer than the last time. He was tall, his body looked awesome in his clothes, his smile was perfect with these dimples that she loved so much. Oh my ! Yes, she wanted to bite in that piece of chocolate. Get it together, girl ! 

She decided to focus on his eyes, but his strong chest and arms were calling her name. She wanted to lift his black t-shirt so bad to see the abs again. She missed them. Cora, you need to stop that ! 

He sat across from her still with that magical smile on his face, "Are you okay ? " He asked since she still hadn't answered.

Kalvin was more than happy to see the beauty he had before his eyes. Her skin, her curves, her lips, eyes, hair, nose, everything was breathtaking. He could stared at her for hours and never get tired. He didn't know a woman could be that pretty. He was trying to calm down, but it was a little hard.

Cora shook her head, "Uh...Yeah ! I'm fine and you ? How was Hawaii ? " Her voice was like a sweet melody in his ears. He could listen to her speaking all day and still be amazed. It was an addition to her wonderful attraction.

"I'm fine also. It was amazing ! The children were so cute, it felt good to know that we helped them to have a more comfortable life. Unfortunately, we hadn't the chance to build the entire orphanage, but the NBA payed professional workers to finish it. We'll go back once it's done. And you ? How was your month ? "

Cora was loving what she was hearing. So, he doesn't hate kids, right ? He thinks the're cute. Cora decided to begin to approach the subject slowly, but surely, "My month was normal. Work, work and work." They chuckled, "So...you like kids ? " She started her interrogation.

Kalvin nodded his head, "Yeah. They're cool." Was his answer.

Then Melissa came back, "Good afternoon, Mr.Ryans. Glad to see you again. I'm Melissa, your waitress for today. So, do you want to order something ? " 

"Did you already eat here ? " He asked Cora and she shook her head. D€nis€'s was really fancy, she wasn't used to go to that types of restaurants.

"I can bring you the drinks menu if you want ? " Melissa proposed and this time Cora nodded her head. One minute later, she had the menu in her hands. She looked through it trying not to laugh or scream at the prices. Why people pay that much for food and drinks ? 

"Uh...there are a lot of choices, I don't know what to take. What do you advice me Kalvin ? " 

He raised his eyebrow thinking, "Hmm...what about the usual ? " 

Melissa smiled, " A Trou Noir cocktail ? "

"Yeah."

She wrote on her notepad, "And for the appetizer ? "

"Uh...you know what, I'll have all like him, since he knows what he's doing more than me." Cora said shyly.

Kalvin thought she was cute, "Okay, pretty. Well, it'll be nachos with a salsa sauce." 

Melissa nodded her head as writing more on her notepad, then she took the menu, "Okay. Two Trou Noir cocktails, nachos with salsa sauce and I think I can already order your meal. You'll take as usual, I guess." 

"Yup ! Thanks, Melissa." Kalvin said as the waitress walked away. 

"Do you often eat here ? " Cora asked curiously.

"Yeah. It's my favourite restaurant. What is yours ? " 

"Hmmm....good question ! But you should've asked which is not instead."

Kalvin chuckled, "C'mon ! Everybody has a favourite place to go to eat. Tell me." 

Cora smiled losing herself in his intense brown eyes. Eye contact with him could be dangerous. She didn't know if she was going to keep sane until the end of their lunch. If only she knew that Kalvin was trying to hold himself as much as her, "Okay, okay. Hmmm...I think Rapunzel's." She answered covering her face in shame.

Kalvin laughed, "You can't be serious ! Rapunzel's ? It's the restaurant for the kids."

Cora raised her eyebrow with her hands on her hips, "And tha's where you're so wrong. It's the princesses restaurant."

Kalvin rolled his eyes playfully, "You're more like a queen, beautiful." He contradicted her making Cora blush slightly. 

"Thanks. But whatever, their pizzas are BOMB ! " Cora said snapping her fingers.

"Hell nah ! Shrek's has the best pizzas. They should've never built Rapunzel's in the first place."

Cora laughed, "When did you go to Shrek's ? This thing appeared only seven years ago. You're about that Peter Pan life, you will never be an adult ? "

Kalvin shoot a glare to Cora like he felt offended, "Excuse you, but who brought the kids restaurants in the conversation first ? Not me. So, why were you at Rapunzel's ? That shit is more recent than Shrek's."

"I'm a grown woman, I can do whatever I want." Cora sang Beyonce's lyrics that shut Kalvin up. The real reason was that Acacia did her fifth birthday party there, but Cora didn't want to talk about the twins just yet. She didn't want to make him run. She couldn't come with all the truth at once. 

"Okay. Let's talk about something else. Let's go back to kids, just kids." He proposed and she nodded her head grinning. She was having a very good time with Kalvin, "Do you like them too ? " He asked looking at her, mainly at her luscious lips. They were temptation and it was taking all of him to not grab the back of her neck and bring her face closer, so he could taste them.  

"Yeah. Kids are...a blessing." She answered thinking about the two she already had and the one that was growing inside her. His baby. Maybe it wasn't a punishment, simply a blessing that God was giving to her again. Not all the women of the planet can live the amazing experience of carrying and bringing a child into this world. 

"Do you want to have one or two, one day ? " The question he should've asked, should've been if she already had children.

Cora hesitated at first, "Uh...Yeah." Please, God forgive me.

"Here." Melissa was coming back with the cocktails and the appetizer. She placed them on the table before to smile and wish them a good appetite.

Kalvin raised his glass, "Cheers."

Cora clicked hers with him, but didn't drink immediately, "Uh...What is there in this cocktail ? Is there alcohol ? " She questioned him after he took his sip.

"Uh...let me think...Vodka, apple juice and caramel. So yeah, there is alcohol. Why ? What's wrong ? "

"Uh...I can't drink alcohol. I should've just ordered water." She answered looking everywhere but him.

He chuckled, "What ? You're pregnant or something like that ? " His tone was amused, but if only he knew. Maybe it was time. After all, he talked about pregnancy first, so why not continuing with that ? Cora started playing with her fingers nervously. Kalvin looked at her and noticed her face expression. The atmosphere changed suddenly. It was not as comfortable as it was since the beginning of their lunch date. He observed her for a moment wondering what was bothering her. What did he say for her smile to disappear all of sudden ? He wanted to know. He didn't like to see her like that.

"Cora, did I say something ? Are you mad at me ? " He asked making her look up at him.

She cleared her throat, "No, I'm not. But...Remember, I have something to tell you."

"What ? About the celebrity event at the club ? We can talked about that later, don't need to rush."

She shook her head, "I lied." She mumbled, then bit on her lips nervously.

He frowned, "What ? What do you mean ? " He was lost.

She sighed, "There is not a celebrity event at the club. I lied, because I didn't want to scare you and make you run away." She explained, but he was still confused, even more than before.

"What are you talking about ? You're making nonsense right now."

Her heart was about to jump out of her chest, "You know when a woman and a man have sex, something can happen next..." She started trailing off.

His frown got deeper, "What ?! "

It was time, "Well...I'm pregnant..."
