{ Still Christmas Day | (8:43 p.m) }

The day at MagicLand House was incredible. They had a good time and it felt great to be around so many lovely people for a couple of hours. Now, the fam was back in auntie May's house and they were just chilling together. Today, the atmosphere was really cool and relaxing. There was no tension at all and they were all enjoying it. 

"Where are the kids at ? " Halley asked the men when they walked in the living room. 

"Upstairs watching a Disney." Kalvin answered sitting next to Cora on the couch. 

Then there was a little silence between the adults, but Mrs.Ryans broke it as soon as it started. She had a few questions flowing in her head and she needed answers, "So...Louis, why should I let you date my daughter ? "

Kalia rolled her eyes, "Mum, you had nothing to say at Thanksgiving, so don't do this now." She intervened before her mother even had the chance to go too far. 

Donya smiled sitting her cup of tea on the coffee table before her, "Honey, I was just asking a simple question, nothing much. Now, did I cussed him out ? No, I don't think so."

"It's okay, K. I don't have a problem with...your mother's interrogation. It's normal, she' cares about you." He said before to turn his attention to Donya.

"Well, Mrs.Ryans, I love your daughter. She's an extraordinary and independent woman and since the first day I met her, well...she's making me feel extremely happy. I love all about her. She's beautiful inside like outside. Her personality is unique, she had a big heart, she's smart, she's funny..." He paused smiling to himself, "...She's everything I need in my life. And I know how to treat a diamond like her. I respect her and her well-being is my first priority. If I have to catch a star for her, I will try all I can to do this. She has my heart." Now he was looking at Kalia with eyes filled with passion, tenderness and joy. And she was grinning back at him shyly. It was like she was the only person he could see. She was the only one who worth to have his full focus and nobody else.

"Oh my God, I want a Louis." Latoya broke the new silence that settled in the room.

"Damn, nigga." Terry exclaimed surprised. To be honest, nobody expected him to say these words. You could tell that they were really in love.

Donya clapped her hands happily, "You're perfect for her ! You can even marry her...like right now."

They all chuckled, "Thanks." Louis said then kissed Kalia's cheek. Her could feel the butterflies in her entire body. She couldn't get the huge smile off of her face.

"Okay, now that we're okay with that. I have a question for Amy and Kaldrick." Auntie May pursued the conversation.

Amy raised her eyebrow lost, "Us ? But why ? "

"Yeah...we're...cool." Kaldrick added unsure to what he should say actually.

Auntie May shook her head, "Were you not supposed to let your daughter know about the truth ? Like today ? I noticed that she's still not calling you daddy, Kal-Kal."

Kaldrick scratched the back of his neck nervously, "Well...Uh...It's not that simple. It's a delicate subject and she's only five."

"Yeah, but she needs to know that we're her family. And it's better now than later." Donya said being on auntie May's side. They had never agreed before, it was the first time.

"We're working on it. She'll know soon, don't need to rush us. Plus, it's our daughter, so leave us alone." Kaldrick said getting annoyed with them.

"And who you think you're talking to, boy ? " Donya's authoritarian voice asked.

He sighed, "We're leaving if you don't stop." He then warned ready to go.

"But, Kal..." Kalvin started trailing off.

"What ? "

"They're not totally wrong. If y'all keep waiting for the ''right time'', well it won't be actually, because you'll have waited for too long and you'll realize that y'all should've said it sooner. She won't be five years old forever and it will be worst to tell her later." 

"Yes, but try to put yourself in our shoes, i-"

Kalia cut him off, "Kal-Kal, sit her down and then say something like...Uh...Mikayla, I'm not your mother's close friend, but your father. I love you and I hope you're not too ang-"

"WHAT ?! " They all turned around and the twins also as Mikayla were standing there shocked. The adults didn't even hear them walk in. 

Kaldrick and Amy froze. Why should they do now ? It wasn't supposed to happen this way, "Oh damn ! Lia, look what you and your big mouth has done this time ! " Terry shook his head at her. 

"Mikayla, baby...Mummy...is going to explain this to you. Come here." Amy was walking towards her daughter. 

The little girl refused and ran away. She then locked herself in the bathroom near the stairs. She wasn't sure if she had heard them clearly and mainly understood everything they were saying well. In the first place, she just wanted something to drink, that's why they went downstairs.

A couple of minutes later, someone knocked on the door, "Go away." She said with a little voice. Then the person on the other side started messing with the lock and soon Kaldrick was entering in. He sighed and bent down to be at her level.

"Hey." 

She sat on the toilet folding her arms and pouting. She didn't want to talk to him. She didn't even know who he was anymore. She was slightly confused. She needed clarification. 

"How much did you hear from our conversation ? " He asked hoping she wasn't like...traumatized. She shrugged avoiding eye contact with him, "I'm sorry for having lied to you. Both, your mother and I are truly sorry. But know that...we didn't do that to hurt you, no it wasn't the goal of all of this. We wanted to protected you first off. But we didn't do that in...the best way." He apologized and grabbed slightly her chin to turn her head towards him so they were facing now. 

"You...you're my daddy ? "

He nodded his head, "Yeah and I hope we'll keep getting to know each other. Are you still mad ? "

Once again she shrugged, "I don't know...I'm a little bit lost. One time you're a friend of my mummy and now you're my daddy." 

"But...was it not what you wanted for Christmas ? Mummy told me about the gift you want to have every year since you're like three or four years old. A daddy. And now, it has came true." 

"Yeah, but you weren't under the tree, so...I'm really surprised."

He laughed, "Okay, I'm very very very very very very very very very very sorry. And now that you know the truth, I can finally spoil you. You're gonna be a real daddy's girl." He said tickling her.

She giggled, "Stop."

"Only if you give me a big hug, the biggest hug of the world." He opened his arms smiling. She hesitated for a couple of seconds before to jump in his arms. They hugged each other like their lives depended on it. 

"Well, if you really want to spoil me..." They pulled away.

"What ? What do you want princess ? "

"Can we go to Disneyland one day ? I never went there."

In the living room, everybody was waiting patiently for Kaldrick and Mikayla to come back. Amy was shaking though. She was regretting to have done this like that, "We should've told her immediately." She said tapping her feet repeatedly on the carpet. 

"Don't worry too much, girl. Nobody is perfect." Terry attempted to reassure her, but being himself of course. 

Then the new father and his daughter came back hand in hand, both smiling. They had something to tell the group and they were sure the fam was going to like it. It was a good idea. They placed in the middle getting everybody attention. 

"Well, better start packing now, because we're going to..."
