(1:58 p.m)

Kalvin rubbed his eyes as he was getting out of his sleep. He then opened them blinking adjusting to the light in the room. It seemed like someone had opened the curtains to let the sun come in and it was seriously blinding him. He placed his forearm before his face and groaned getting frustrated. Who was that crazy to wake him up like that ? 

"Good morning guys ! Time to get up ! " He heard a female voice said and he immediately covered himself with the blanket. He wanted to sleep more. 

"C'mon, Kalvin ! " The voice said shaking him slightly. 

He groaned again, "Leave me the fuck alone. I'm tired." He whined angrily. 

Cora rolled her eyes and took the blanket off him, "C'mon ! The police called earlier, they need to collect our disposal. They would like to see us at four this afternoon. We have two hours to get ready and to go there. Up ! " 

"We can do this another day." Kalvin said then yawned. He didn't want to get off the bed. Just one day. He needed one day to relax. Was it too much to ask ? Just one day with no worries in the world.

Cora sighed, "No ! The sooner we do it, the sooner he'll go to jail."

He opened his eyes that instantly met Cora's face. He snorted, "I don't understand why we have to do all the procedure, everybody and their mama know he's guilty and needs to stay in that hole and to be somebody's girlfriend for the rest of his life." 

"The last part was gross and I'm not sure if I got it right, but I agree with Kal." Almar intervened in the conversation once he was awake. 

Kalvin totally forgot he was still in his room, "Aw shit." He mumbled and tried to sat up, but for some reason he hadn't the strength to do it. 

Cora shook her head at them, "Well..sorry, but I'm not the law, so we have to do this. Wake up ! The breakfast will be ready in ten minutes." And with that said, she left the room and went in the kitchen downstairs. 

"I agree 100 percent with y'all, but it's the procedure." Acacia walked in the room already dressed for the day. She woke up at seven this morning after having a nightmare. She dreamed about her father kidnapping her again. She couldn't allow herself to go back to sleep frightening to have more nightmares. So, she was up since then, "And you two are rude ! You had a sleepover without me." She pouted folding her arms.

The guys sat up slowly, "Sorry. It wasn't really planned." Kalvin apologized looking at Almar. 

"Yeah, but next time, we'll call you." The young boy added before to lay back down.

"So, can you tell us exactly what happened ? " Officer Marcht asked with a pen in his hand and some papers placed before him on the desk, that was separating him from the others persons.

They all turned their heads towards Acacia, who was nervous since they entered in the room. She wished she hadn't had to go through all of this, but she knew it was for the best. She wanted her so called father to be punished as he deserved it. She wanted him to pay for what he did in jail. She was scared of his come-back, but by knowing that he will be locked somewhere, it will finally appease her.

"Don't be scared sweetheart, it's going to be alright." Yohann reassured behind her. He gladly accepted to be their lawyer after Sancy asked him if he could do it. He was really busy, but really wanted to do it. Yohann Conner was thirty-two, a very attractive gentleman and one of the best lawyers in the USA. He had just took the wheel of the family firm, Conner & Sons, and had recently made the new Forbes magazine cover. He was a determined, smart and talented man. Acacia and her family had nothing to worry about with representing them. He was working for Kalvin and was also Sancy's "rich boyfriend" as Cora was calling him. 

The young girl nodded her head and took a deep breath closing her eyes to calm her nerves, "I had just got out of the bathroom and was on my way to my classroom when someone started talking to me. Uh...I turned around wondering who it was and then he was standing in front of me. He looked...weird...I knew I wasn't really in security, but instead of walking away...I...Uh...I answered to him and uh...It's only after three or five minutes that I realized that...It wasn't the usual janitor. I..." She breathed as her heart was beating fast in her chest, "...I...Uh...Everything went really fast then...I wasn't really aware of everything that was going on...And suddenly he grabbed me and he put something on my nose." 

"What was it ? " Officer Marcht asked while writing down what she was saying. 

"Uh...I don't really know...but I think it was...Uh...a napkin, maybe. Yes, I think it was that. And I smelt something strange and soon I was closing my eyes and I then fell asleep, but I didn't want to." She answered as she was replaying the day in her mind. 

The officer nodded his head keeping writing, "I think it was some chloroform. But after that, what happened ? Where did you wake up ? And who exactly was there ? " He questioned looking at her with a look that let her know that he was by her side and that she could trust him. 

"Uh...I woke up in a little room. The walls were grey and I was on a chair and there was a bed behind me. And the person who was there was...him." She was afraid to say his real name.

"What did he do then ? " 

"Uh...I begged him to let me go, but he didn't want to and...then...he said...that..." The words were echoing in her mind. She still didn't want to believe it. She didn't want it to be the truth, "...He said that...he's my...father. But he will never be ! " She added shaking her head, "Can we take a break, please ? " She asked as her eyes were filling with water. 

Officer Marcht smiled, "Of course. When you ready to talk again, let me know. I suggest we come back here in twenty minutes if that's okay with everybody ? " 

"Yes." They answered in unison. 

"Alright, Mr.Conner I need to talk with you, please."

{ Later that day }

It was hard, but they were done with the first step. The hardest will be the court though, because they were going to see Cameron after he dared to do this. Acacia was apprehending it the most. She didn't want to see him again. She didn't want to face him and his creepy eyes. He was scaring her. He traumatized her, but how much ? Nobody knew. Although, Cora set an appointment with a shrink to make sure that her first baby daddy didn't do too much damage with her daughter's brain. 

Now, they were back home after having eaten dinner at Denis€'s and the kids were already sleeping. The day was long and full of emotions, as the last two months actually. 

Cora sighed finger combing her hair. She was exhausted physically, emotionally and mentally. She was relieved, angry, sad and feeling others types of emotions. She was a bit going crazy to be honest. She was stressed and trying to calm down, but it wasn't that easy. It was too much for her. It was way too much for a pregnant woman. 

She stood up from her bed and walked towards the guest room to talk with Kalvin. She needed to vent. She knew having a conversation with him will make her feel better. He was always listening and always knew what to tell her.

She knocked announcing that she was about to enter and then opened the door to reveal a duffel bag on the bed, with clothes inside. She frowned wondering what was going on. Suddenly, Kalvin appeared in the room behind her, but she didn't notice it. 

"Do you need something ? " He asked startling her. 

She gasped covering her chest, "Oh ! Hey. Uh...What are you doing ? "

He shrugged, "What does it look like ? I'm packing my stuff. I'm going back in my condo tomorrow." 

Her frown deepened as a lot of questions were running in her mind, "But why ? Why are you leaving us ? " 

He sighed scratching the back of his neck, "Uh...Cora, I need some space. I'm going insane right now. I need some alone time. A lot is happening, I wasn't ready for it and I...Uh...I wasn't going to stay here forever anyways, it was just temporary. Plus, I'm not living too far, you know. Y'all can always call, I'll be there."

She didn't know how to feel right now, "But...we need you."

A silence settled between them before he began to chuckle shaking his head. He didn't sound happy though, "Oh, so suddenly y'all need me, huh ? That's not what you were saying when you threatened me to take my child away. Am I right or I am right ? "

Since the situation was drastic and he didn't want to deal with her fool behavior while they were searching Acacia, he hadn't had the occasion to really express his feelings, but now, it seemed like it was the perfect time. He didn't appreciate what she told him and how she all of sudden decided to treat him like he was the worst man on earth. He didn't like to be compared to that bastard. Actually, she hurt his feelings and that was right now that he wanted her to know. He did get an apology from Almar, but any from her. Okay, she was pregnant and her hormones were driving her crazy, but it wasn't an excuse. 

"I didn't mean it." She said feeling bad instantly. 

He sarcastically chuckled again, "Yes you did ! "

"I w-"

"No. Listen, I'm tired to have to prove that...I'm a good person, because that's what I am, but I'm a human being also, so yeah I'm not perfect and I get angry sometimes, but that's natural, and of course we can't always be agree, so yeah we're going to argue and also raise our voices, but it doesn't mean that I will hurt you, my child or the twins." 

"I know." She mumbled. 

He shook his head, "No. No, you don't know...You're scared of me, but not for the good reasons. Actually, you shouldn't be that much scared of me." 

That statement made her think for a couple of minutes, "Okay...maybe I am. But try to understand, he wa-"

"Cora, I am NOT him. How many times do I have to say it ? I'm not Cameron, I'm Kalvin. And I don't need you to threaten me to take my child away every time you have to take your anger out on someone. It's unfair that I had to get all that anger that built inside your heart for years when he's the one who caused that. Not me. Maybe, you need to see him and actually talk with him. You need a closure. You need to really move on that past relationship, because it's affecting your present in a negative way and...you will never be able to be happy if you don't completely turn the page." 

A single tear fell from her right eye, "I didn't realize it. I didn't realize that I was taking all on you." 

"Well, it wasn't that much, but it's already heavy to feel...all of this on me and...I don't want it to get worst. Because next thing I know, you're taking your revenge on me because of what HE did and to hurt me you're using my child against me." Kalvin thought a lot during his shower. He thought about the last two months and his current relationship with Cora and he suddenly concluded that there was a deep dike between them. And the reason was of course Cameron and all the pain he caused to her. Kalvin couldn't be put in the same position as him any longer. 

It was difficult to hold the tears, but she was tired to cry and to seem so vulnerable, "Kalvin...I wasn't serious. That's not the type of person I am. I will never take your child away from you. I know you won't hurt us. I'm sorry. But please, don't go." Her heart started beating faster, "And if something happens with the baby ? And what about the children ? They were just adjusting to you living here with us and now you're leaving." She couldn't help but feel like he was going to abandon her and never will come back.

"I know, but...they'll be okay. We will all be fine." 

She couldn't hold it anymore and water began to run on both cheeks, "No ! They won't ! And me either ! And..." She didn't really know what to say at this moment, "Whatever just fucking leave ! Bye ! " She walked out the guest room slamming the door.

Great ! Just when she was debating on giving them a chance.
