(8:47 a.m)

"So, I have a serious question. Did you hear mummy scream last night ? " Almar asked innocently not knowing that he caused someone's heart in the car to almost explode out of his chest.

Aw shit ! Kalvin braked violently definitely taken by surprise. He wasn't expecting one of the kids to say that. They did all in their power to be as quiet as possible last night, but it seemed like they didn't really succeed doing it. 

"OH ! Kal, what is wrong with you this morning ?! " Acacia asked still a little shaken. The car stopped so brutally, she thoughts she was going to die in less than one minute and saw all her ten years pass in front of her. She was scared for her life and she didn't like to feel like it. 

"Almar, what did you hear exactly ? What was she...Uh...Was she screaming something, like some words ? And was it all you heard ? " He questioned the young boy completely ignoring the other twin. 

Almar shrugged, "Well...I was still sleeping, so I think I was surely dreaming. It wasn't really clear. Don't worry." He said reassuring Kal without knowing it. The poor man thought that he shocked the kid forever. He felt so relieved now. 

But he couldn't be 100 percent though. Not just yet, "And you Tac ? Did you hear something ? " He turned his attention towards Acacia.

She shook her head, "No ! Now, can you drive us to school, please ? We're already late and you told us that we were going to be on time. I conclude that you're a liar." 

He smacked his teeth and started driving again. Fortunately he was alone on the road right now. After ten minutes, they finally arrived in front of the school. Kalvin turned the engine off and turned around to face them, "I'm coming with y'all to explain everything to your teacher." He announced them causing a little frown to appear on Acacia's face. He rolled his eyes. There was always something with her, "What's now ? " 

"Well, we didn't recognize you the first day we met because we're not groupies, but some kids out there did notice you and since then, they can't stop asking us about you and how we know you and blah blah blah, so I think it's a very bad idea if you come with us. Don't worry, we'll be alright." She answered with her arms folded and looking at him.

Her brother nodded his head in agreement, "Yeah. They even wanted us to ask you to do a meet and greet with you and the others players if it's possible." He added shaking his head still not believing it. The others kids were all of sudden coming towards him and absolutely wanted to be friends with him. Usually, they leaved him alone and let him have his own space like he loved having it. Actually, people in general annoyed him.

Kalvin sighed, "Okay. But if there is a problem, just tell him or her to call me, well your mother, and they'll have an explanation. I guess, it's time for y'all to go now. Have a nice day." 

They smiled, "Thanks, you too." And with that said, they got out of the car and then ran in the building. Kalvin watched them making sure they entered in safely before to go back home.

"Cora ! " He called to see if she was finally awake, but it seemed like she wasn't. He decided to check on her, so he climbed the stairs and then went in her bedroom. Once he opened the door, he realized that she wasn't in her bed anymore. Then he heard the water running in the bathroom.

Since he knew that she was alright, he went back downstairs and cooked the breakfast for them. He still hadn't eaten, since he had to take the twins to school. As he was about to get a stove, his phone rang in his pockets. He pulled it out and verified the caller ID, pressed on the screen and then bring the phone to his left ear.

"Hey, big bro ! "  He greeted his brother who was on the other end of the line. 

"Hey, lil bro ! Wassup with you ? Seems like it had been years since we talked for the last time. How are you ? " They hadn't seen each other since his birthday, that happened not even three weeks ago. But him and his siblings were real close and when they went one entire week without hearing from each other, they had to call or pay a visit to the other to know if they were fine and mainly still alive. Because you never know. One day the person is here and the next day they are gone. Life had its own speed and you'll never be able to catch it, but always try to catch the important, best and precious moments, their grandmother told them many times. 

"I'm good. Living life. Trying to deal with some little things. And you ? How are Mikayla and Amy ? " He answered being brief. He wasn't feeling like telling his oldest brother what was really going on.

"Dealing with some little things ? What does it mean exactly ? Do I need to beat someone's ass ? " He questioned guessing that something or instead a certain person -who he didn't know about, yet- was bothering his baby brother and he wasn't really appreciating it. Kaldrick could kill, sell his soul to the devil himself, go to the end of the world and way much more for his little brother and sister. He made himself the promise to always keep an eye on them and to protect them forever since they arrived into his life. 

Kalvin chuckled, "I'm not a kid anymore. I can fight on my own now." 

"Kalvinou, you are my little brother and will always be and I don't care if we're too old to even stand up, I will always hit a mothafucka to death for you. Now tell big brother what's really going on. And don't try to lie." 

Kalvin smacked his teeth, "Ew ! Don't ever call me like that again. That's so ugly ! Just for that, I'm telling you nothing." 

"You better talk now, kiddo."

(11:06 a.m) 

Acacia just went to the bathroom and now was going back to her classroom. As she was walking, she could hear her stomach groaning. She was starving and couldn't wait for lunch time. It was her favourite moment at school, the classes were annoying her way too much. Well, the teacher couldn't make the subjects seem cool, that was the main problem. She could listen for the first couple of minutes, but after forty, nay fifty minutes, her mind was always wandering somewhere else. It wasn't preventing her to be one of the best kid though.

"Uh...excuse me." She frowned and stopped moving, then turned around towards the voice.

There was standing a tall black man before her, dressed in a janitor uniform with a broom in his hands. She stared at his face carefully and some of his features were reminding her of someone, but she didn't know who exactly. Mainly the eyes, she could swear she had already seen them of someone's else face, but who ? And she didn't like the LA tattoo on his cheekbone. He looked stupid with that to her. But it was just her opinion. 

But why was he talking to her ? Normally, he was doing his job and minding his own business. Matter fact, he wasn't the usual janitor. First off he wasn't white like the others day. She didn't know why, but something inside her was telling her to just keep going and don't mind the strange man. But her curiosity had the upper hand. 

"Who are you ? I had never seen you here before. And what do you want ? " She asked raising her eyebrow. 

He cleared his throat, then smiled widely. He looked at her from up to down and vice versa before to speak, "Your name Acacia, right ? "

He had grillz on his teeth. She hated it. He was definitely ugly for her. But wait a minute, "Uh...I have to go. Bye."

She attempted to walk away, but he suddenly grabbed her arm and brought her closer to him, then he pulled a napkin out of his pocket and placed it on her nose. She tried to scream, but hadn't had the occasion to actually do it. She couldn't even think straight right now. What is going on ? Soon, she started falling asleep, even if all she wanted to do was to run and ask for help, but the sleepiness was taken over. Soon, her body was too weak for her to stand up on her feet. She then felt him pick her up and throw her on his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. And finally, she was diving in the darkness.

(12: 09 p.m)

"Please, I would like to see my sister. Her name is Cora Diamond McKall. I am Sancy, her sister...in case she doesn't remember." 

Cora looked up at her sibling smiling, "Hello, can I help you ? Like you can see, I'm busy right now. Maybe come later." 

Her big sister pinched her cheeks and then sat on the counter. Since she had a free afternoon and hadn't seen her sister since more than one week, she decided that it was a good idea to pay her a visit at the club to see what was up with her. In short, to gossip with her favourite and unique sister.

"So, what's new now ? You're married and about to have a sixth kid ? " She asked still with the joke tone.

Cora laughed sarcastically before to shoot her a serious glare, "You're so funny. No, I'm not married, but are you ? Last time I checked, that was you the chick with a rich boyfriend."

Sancy grinned showing her white teeth, "He's amazing ! I think that I am actually falling in love."

Her little sister raised her eyebrow smirking, "Hm...Interesting."

Sancy nodded her head, "Yes, I know. Wait until I tell mom though, she'll go completely insane. Oh ! Look at the present he got me the other day. He is so cute." She put her hand in her Chanel bag searching what she wanted to show her sister. 

As Cora was about to say something, her phone rang on the counter next to her. The caller ID was telling her that the call was coming from the twins' school. She frowned, but relaxed knowing that it was surely for the little accident they had this morning. 

"Hello ? "

"Oh my God ! Ms.McKall ! I don't know how...how to...Uh...It's about one of your children ? I don't know what happened. She just went in the bathroom and she never came back. I'm so sorry. I am so so so so sorry. We searched her, but couldn't find her. We already called the police. Can you come here please. Oh my God, I am really sorry, Ms.McKall. I hope she's okay." The teacher said crying hysterically. She had never been in that kind of situation before. How did it even happen ? One minute the kid was there and the next she had completely disappeared. She felt like it was totally her fault, since she was the one responsible of Acacia McKall until 3 p.m. 

Cora heard all the words, but just couldn't believe it. Actually, she was wondering if she wasn't hallucinating. What did she just said ? 

"What ? Can you repeat please ? And slower please. What happened ? " She asked the teacher confused. 

Mrs.Olli's calmed down and took a deep breath, "Acacia is missing."
