{ Three Days Later | (4:10 p.m) }

"Where are we going tonight again ? " Kalia asked her brother as she was doing her makeup. 

"One of Cora's friend organized a Halloween Party and she invited us." Kalvin answered trying to find a black pullover. He, Kaldrick and Kalia decided to be burglars tonight. It was the easiest thing they found. Actually, they were used to not dress up for this day or even simply celebrate Halloween. Their mother was against it because Halloween means Satan's day as she had always told them. For them, she was doing a bit too much, as usual.

"So...you and her...What are you exactly ? " She asked curiously.

He raised his eyebrow, "Why are you putting makeup on your face ? We're gonna wear a mask."

"I'm not wearing this all night." She said rolling her eyes, "Now, answer to me and stop trying to change the subject of our conversation. What's going on between you two ? " 

"What about minding your own business, huh ? Anyways, I'm not falling in love if that's what you want to know." He said still searching for the clothe.

"Are you sure ? " 

He sighed slightly annoyed, "Yes ! Now, get out of my room." 

"Yeah, I absolutely don't want to be traumatized for the rest of my life." She said before to walked out. 

Kalvin shook his head and dropped the towel around his waist, then put his black Calvin Klein boxer on, then his black pants and finally his simply black pullover. He dressed his feet with black socks and all black Adidas sneakers. He took his beanie, a pair of scissors and did holes for his eyes and mouth and a little one to be able to breath also. Then he put his black Movado watch on his left wrist. He ended by spraying himself with Lacoste cologne. He checked his appearance one last time in his mirror, then walked out his room to join his sister who was already ready in his living room.

"You take more time than a girl." She commented to bother him and he definitely knew it, so he just fanned her off. She chuckled, "Kal Kal sent me a message. Him, Amy and Mikayla are on their way." 

Kalvin smiled. It was going to be the first time he will meet his niece. He was excited and a little nervous. He was hoping that he will get along with the little four years old girl immediately. He didn't need to be in bad terms with another member of his family. His mother was already too damn much to handle. 

Suddenly, his doorbell rang letting them know they were there. Kalvin took a deep breath and made his way towards his front door. He opened it and was greeted by his big brother at first. They dapped each other and then Kaldrick entered in to hug Kalia.

"Amy ? " Kalvin remembered another woman and not the one who was in front of him. Her hair now were black and long until her butt. She was wearing make up and was showing her cleavage. She didn't look like the timid girl she was years ago anymore. Before, her hair was short and she was never showing her skin, except when it was summertime, but it was never too much. She just seemed different. Tonight, she was dressed like a sexy witch. She was wearing a black long dress and one leg was exposed. Her chest was well highlighted and it looked like she had a tattoo under her boobs. Yes, Kalvin saw all that with a quick check out, but if he had stared more, he would've noticed other details. He didn't want her to think that he was a perv. 

"Hey ! " She hugged him and then moved a bit to the side to reveal a little girl. Her costume was Tiana in The Princess and The Frog. She was the cutest little thing he had ever seen. Amy smiled, "Honey, this is Kalvin...Uh...another friend of Kaldrick. Say hi." 

Kalvin frowned a bit, but replaced that expression immediately and beamed. He had to talk seriously with his brother later, "Hi." Mikayla greeted him shyly. He noticed her dimples on her cheeks. It was running in the family. They had this from their father's side. 

He bent down at her level, "Hi, cutie. I'm Kalvin, nice to meet you." He held out his hand for her to shake. She hesitated at first, but shook it. 

"I'm Mikayla, nice to meet you too."

(5:25 p.m)

"TWINS ! " Cora yelled for the fourth time. They were going to be late because of them. Upstairs, Acacia couldn't choose between her black and red ballerinas. Her costume was the Little Red Riding Hood and she was so excited to get all these candies. Almar him, was going to be Batman tonight and he couldn't find his belt for some reason. He was searching everywhere in his room and couldn't put his hands on it. 

"Girl, stop all that noise please. Did you eat today ? " Sasha asked sitting on the couch.

Cora nodded, "Yes, mom. And it's my house."

"Yes, but I'm still your mother, never forget about it." She reminded her grinning, "When is your sister coming ? We're about to leave."

Cora took a candy out of her purse, "Oh, she's going with her man and they're meeting us there."

Sasha squealed, "Oh yes ! We're finally going to meet him. I can't wait ! "

Cora nodded her head, "Yes. You're going to meet Kalvin also."

(6:05 p.m)

"Heeeey ! " Halley greeted her guest grinning, "Wow ! You're a lot ! But I don't think I know this group." She said looking at all the faces before her.

Cora smiled, "Oh yeah ! Halley, this is Kalvin, his sister Kalia, his brother Kaldrick, Amy and Mikayla. And yall this is Halley, my childhood friend and our host for tonight. Oh ! And here it's Yohann, Sancy's boyfriend." She introduced everybody.

Halley nodded her head, "Well, welcome to my house and I hope you'll enjoy your night. Mi casa es su casa." She moved to let them come in. Cora was the last to enter in, "Kalvin is not that bad. Is he not  a Miami Heats player though ? " Halley whispered in her ear.

Cora narrowed her eyes at her, "Yeah, I told you he is a professional basketball player. Aaaand, the situation is already a little complicated, H."

Halley rolled her eyes playfully, "I know. I don't want to be with him, I was just saying."

"Daaaaaaaaaaaamn ! Who are the fine brothers who just came in ? Is your baby daddy one of them ? I want to know RIGHT NOW ! " Latoya asked rushing towards them.

"Calm you tits, girl. They are all already taken and anyways, are you not trying to get back with your boyfriend ? You''re becoming pathetic."

"Why don't you mind your own business for once, Halley ? You really need a dick in your life ! You're so annoying ! "

Cora sighed and let them argue. She didn't need that tonight. She greeted the people that were already there and then made her way where Kalvin was, "Where is everybody ? " She asked sitting on the chair next to him.

He took a sip of his beer, "Well..Kalia and Amy went in the kitchen to get a drink, Kaldrick and Yohann...Uh...I don't know, they kinda disappeared, but I'm sure they're alright. Your sister and mother are talking with some friends and the kids went to play with the other kids." He answered.

She nodded her head, "And you decided to sit here by yourself."

"Well, I'm texting my friend, so I'm not really by myself." He contradicted making her chuckle.

"Oh you're such a social person." She said sarcastically.

"I don't really like your tone right now, young girl."

"Young girl ? Let me remind you that I'm older than you."

He fanned her off, "It's not even one year. And let me remind you we'll be the same age tomorrow, so..."

"So...whatever."

As Kalvin was about to say something else, someone sat on his other side. It was Terry, "Wow ! Who is the woman who is opening the door for everybody ? She told me her name is Halley, but then I couldn't ask her more questions because she was welcoming other people. She's hot ! " 

Kalvin shook his head at his friend, "Hello to you too."

"Yeah, yeah, hello, whatever. We see each other almost every day, damn ! " 

Cora chuckled, "But not us." She said holding her hand out, "I'm Cora." She introduced herself.

Terry's eyes opened wide as he realized who she was, "The famous Cora ! Kal told me a lot about you, to the point he was annoying me, but now I understand his obsession." 

Kalvin narrowed his eyes at his crazy best friend, "Are you stupid ? " 

Terry patted his shoulder, "Poor guy, he's so shy." He said in a dramatic way.

Kalvin rolled his eyes, "Cora, this is my idiot of best friend, Terry Daniels aka player T or the pimp T. T, this is the beautiful Cora." 

She chuckled, "Player, huh ? Well, my friend Halley doesn't really like the players. So, you have no chance."

Kalvin turned his head towards Terry, "Ooooh, no chance, no chance." He sang laughing at him.

"Well, miss beautiful Cora, what a brother has to do to have at least one little chance or even just a half with your friend ? You have to help, because I had a HUGE crush on her. I think I'm actually in love. Yes, I think it's that. Do you believe in love at first sight ? Because that's what just happen to me and your friend Halley, but she just doesn't know it yet and it's my job to help her to find out." He said making Kalvin burst out laughing. 

"If you're in love, then it means that this is the end of the world, but it's actually not, so you're not in love." He said continuing to laugh like Kevin Hart was doing the funniest show ever in front of them.

Terry smacked his teeth, "Shut up ! I know what I'm talking about. But seriously Cora, help a nigga out. Pleeeeeeeeaaaaase ! " 

"What's going on here ? " Kaldrick asked joining the little group. 

"Well, mister Terry over here aka the pimp, wants me to help him to play with my best friend's heart." Cora answered shooting him a look that was saying 'I know exactly what you're trying to do and you ain't slick.'

Terry sighed, "These women always want to be so damn complicated. I'll get her ! " And with that said, he left them to do only Gods knows what. 

"Sorry, but...all your people are...a little cray." Cora said then stood up to go to the kitchen, "I'm coming back." 

Kaldrick nodded his head, "She's not totally wrong though." He agreed with her. 

Kalvin chuckled, "Well, she has to deal with it from now. Anyways, why Amy introduced me to Mikayla as your friend and not her uncle earlier ? " He asked looking at his brother.

"Uh...well...Mikayla doesn't know..." He answered trailing off.

Kalvin frowned, "Can you be more specific please ?! " 

His older brother sighed wiping his face, "Well...Mikayla thinks that I'm one of her mother's close friends. She has no idea that we're her family, yet." 

"And when will she know ? "

"Amy told me that...Uh...since she's three, she asked Santa a father for Christmas, so...this year is gonna happen. For the moment we're getting to know each other and then Amy and I will let her know about the truth hoping she won't get mad." 

"Well, I hope too, because then you will ruin her fifth Christmas." 

"I know."

Meanwhile, the stalker was outside in his car watching the house. He was hesitating between walking through or waiting a bit more before to come back in Cora's life. She looked gorgeous in her Cleopatra costume tonight. He wanted to go there and spend some time with her, as before. And he wanted to kill that other man she was with all the time since almost two months. He didn't want another man to touch his Cora like he was before. If only he hadn't messed up with her in the past.

"Why are we here ? Can we go, bae ? " His girlfriend asked annoyed. They were there since thirty minutes and it was getting tiring. She wanted to go home and cuddle with her man, but it seemed like his mind was busy since these past weeks. Too busy to focus on her and she didn't like it. She wanted to be his only and first priority. But it wasn't the case right now. 

"Shut the fuck up before I knock the shit outta you ! " He warmed shooting her one of his angry glares. 

She became little all of sudden. You could read the fear on her face now, "I..I'm...sorry. Sorry, baby." 

He smiled and stroked her cheek before to slap it, "Don't open your mouth until I tell you. Did you hear me Brenda ? " She nodded her head turning her head the other way for him to not see the tears falling from her eyes.

It's hard to love a jerk !

One thing was sure though, nor Cora nor Kalvin nor the twins, nobody knew what was going to happen to them.
