After hours of working on defenses in no where close to getting anything done. Its late. And in pretty sure Rythian's gone to bed. Along with Nano. I sigh and run my fingers through my hair, suddenly a finger points toward a small error in my blueprint. I turn around and its none other than Rythian.

"You didn't add fifty here. If you don't the whole thing will be messed up and explode in your face." I blink, rubbing my eyes. I know Rythian understands science. But the fact that he fixed something I couldn't, surprises me. He locks eyes with me and hits my head.

"What the hell was that for!?!" I yell, annoyed. "For staying up tho late when you have a bed as comfy as yours." He says walking away, his boots hitting against the cold tiled floor. I glance at my blueprint and him. I guess he's right. I get up slowly and walk over to him, "I am pretty tired...you can have my bed. I call the couch."

His eyes soften and I smile. Suddenly a large booming voice enters my head. No. No no. Not now.

"Duncan....Mother is here...finally here...." I whimper and cover my ears. Only making it worse. Its as if the world suddenly isn't there. And in alone. Again. Back in my castle. I'm taken out of my daze when something grips my shoulders. I open my eyes and meet Rythian's face.

"Hey! Hey! Lalna!?" He yells. I blink a few more times. "I-I...i go by Duncan now." I whisper, "Of course...hey what was that about?" he asks. I bite my lip. I gotta tell him some time or later.

"Me and Nano...were tainted with this kind of magic. Its called Flux. And their this voice that I just heard. Nano tells me she whispers terrible things. And I just heard heard her for the first time..." I look at him, expecting him to nag me about mixing magic and science bit instead he takes me hand and walks upstairs. He puts me in the bed and curls up by me. But not close enough that were touching.

"I.....thanks." I whisper. He smiles. "No problem Duncan. Goodnight." I smile. "Goodnight."
