The peacefulness of their apartment was lost already with the anonymous call and a message towards Vennela's phone. She was thinking who it would be, hands clenching and unclenching. She didnt have an ounce of doubt towards her husband. She knew Jai well. Someone wanted to destroy the peace of their family. Many thoughts crossed her mind.

It was a little past two in the afternoon when Vennela heard the sound of the hotel door opening.
She immediately looked up from the sofa.

The twins were laying on their play mat. Vennela had just finished feeding them and had been waiting for Jai to come home.

She poured the water for him in a tumbler.

She sat beside him as he took first morsel towards her mouth. Vennela smiled faintly and had.

"Alright...but you should tell me what happened when I went" he mixed curry into the rice and started eating.

She sighed.

He rarely called her by her name. She knew he was serious.

Jai didn't press her. He simply waited wanting to know what was bothering her since he arrived.

After a few moments, Vennela said softly..

"I got a call today, bava..."

Jai's expression changed.

"What kind of call?"

"From an unknown number"

He became alert as he straightened his posture.

"When?"

"an hour before you reached home..."

"What happened?"

She looked down at her hands.

"They asked about you....😟"

He didn't answer immediately.
