My heart crumpled seeing the food in front of me. I gave zahi a questioning look and she understood my confusion and said " sorry didi, mum was so adamant to buy you this as this WAS ur favourite, I tried stopping her but you know how mum is like when she decides on something so I gave up, eat it nah u like it right? She said and started tucking in. I simply kept staring at the food, which made zahi to shoot me a questioning glare. She understood my situation and sat next to me. She touched my cheeks and wiped the drops on them, then it dawned on me that I was crying. She came and took a piece, dipped it in the gravy and brought it closer to me, when I refused to open up she practically shoved it through my mouth

" sorry guys I am having "paratta s and gravy" without you all. Please forgive me, I mentally wailed. When the food began to go through my mouth, I felt an unknown sensation conquer me, pure Bliss was what I felt at that very moment, I felt elated the way my heart started pounding on my chest, the way once it was..

Flashback:

Hey I am hungry man.. Mahi wailed. "adi.. Enakum than" (hey me too). Reesha said. ". Too bad that we emptied our lunch packs too early" mahi said with a frown. Me and nirasha broke into a fit of laughter with a hi-fi. This has become a routine for us these days, we would eat all our lunch packs in the morning gossiping and the stomachs will start growling at about 11:00 / 12:00. "Hey let's put up a collection" Nirasha suggested and then sneak to the shops. But our goody two shoes was scared" what if we get caught?  She asked in a frightened tone. " we will get some juicy beatings, that's it" rishitha said with a wink. "Hey cool guys, I and zee can sneak out perfectly and be back before you know it, right zee? " yes niru 10th and 11th standard s are absolutely free.. We ll be back in minutes. Ok now put up the collection" I replied and did a hi-fi. " zammu, how much you have in there? Rishitha asked zamra. "About Rs 100" zammu answered.. We collected  a total of rs 650 from everyone.. "Whoa this is great" rehana cheered. " hey what you guys doing without me" came a voice. Oh its none other than the great fiyara zahir who have just descended from her world. Oh that dumbo!! "Oii, I have money too " she said " then give it oii" replied niru making us laugh at once. " zee, a total of 750 I have in my hands, so what shall we buy? Rishi questioned us. With a "duh" look we all, me, mahi, reesha, zammu,niru & fiyara exclaimed " parotta and gravy, our  staple food" and broke into unlimited laughter. "Zee, will start our work" niru pulled me, I nodded and then we started to go. I felt a tug at my arm." Be careful di, " mahi warned, concern evident in her eyes. "Thank you so much ya Allah for gifting me such a gem in my life, pleas don't make me miss her at Any cost," I mentally prayed. I gave her a toothy grin " I am fine di" with that we set off

Our set is a beautiful girly set made up of my me, mahi and reesha with our 11th standard seniors, even though we are seniors and juniors we are best buddies no conflicts no problems, masha Allah.. Zamra is the eldest of us all and miss hyperactive, nirasha, our tom boy and the senior replica of me and mahi, fiyara, the studious dreamer, rehana, the "miss serious" and goody two shoes number 2 and rishitha, the cardboard girl..

We successfully sneaked out of our gate by bribing our aunty In charge and simply took running, we ran until we reached our supplier" parotta uncle" " hey girls, I was missing my daily customers" he greeted us with a wink. "Hi uncle " we greeted back " uncle give us parotta for 700 , of course with extra gravy" niru ordered, with a nod uncle went inside to pack our stuff." Hey niru we had 750 rupees na? Why you ordered for only 700? " I questioned her " come on zee, shouldn't we have something as a bribe for taking this risk" she asked me with a mischievous grin " ice cream" both of us screamed at the same time earning us glares from the onlookers, with our ice creams and parotta we started to school," zee gotta finish our ice cream before we reach school or those demons will be the death of us" niru said with a chuckle. With our ice creams finished we took running and reached school. We were panting heavily by the time we reached the school gate, aunty was there and she quickly let us in and we escaped to our heaven aka our science lab which is our gathering place, we used to do all our mischief here except science experiment , ironical isn't it? By the time we got to the class the devils were fuming in anger. " what took you so long" rishi snarled" do it yourself if you are unhappy with the service" niru snapped" guys, u know how hard it is to sneak the school, get pass the traffic and get back to school" niru replied in a dramatical way and I found it damn hard to stiffen my laugh. " as if you guys were driving, u were walking Dundee heads" fiyara piped in, !meanwhile mahi was eyeing us suspiciously.. Oopsy! She came behind me and niru and grabbed us by the shoulder and said " girls looks like these fools have treated themselves with ice cream" she said maliciously " what the how did she fine out" I face palmed myself " oh how did I found out ?" Oh damn it did i say it loud, way to go zeeha" i mentally scolded myself" "because you stupids forget to hide the red icecream stain in ur uniform" with that purses , hands and books started raining on us, beating the crap out of both" " ok ok we give up" niru screamed with that the beatings reduced. We searched for a place to eating because the science lab was filled with junior student, we couldn't go to our classes because the boys would gobble it up in no time, the aroma of the food was killing us, unable to bear we started eating In the corner of the corridor standing, we couldn't have taken more than 2 mouths when sameeha teacher came glaring at us. She is the best teacher of the whole world she is our best friend and our second mum.. She is simply the best, she love s us to bits where as we love her to bits" what the hell is this girls, haven't I taught you all how to eat, that too standing and gobbling like "street beggars"   go inside this instant and at least eat like humans," she shouted and with a smile she left " hey"street beggars" sounds good na?" Rishi questioned." Yeah" we all exclaimed " hey shall we name ourselves the street beggar gang?" " oooohhhh yes.. We shouted . I started to announce with an imaginary mic in my hand" from now on the gr 10 /11 girls of this school will be officially known as the street beggars gang, all thanks for this wonderful name goes to our second mum, Mrs sameeha" I finished and all applauded "thanks girls I am honoured" we heard samee teacher's voice and turned our heads in terror.." Have fun girls" with that she left shaking her head smiling and we broke into a fit of laughter echoing through the whole school.

"Dathi dathi open your mouth na, my hand is aching" only to be brought back to the world with zahi s screeching, I gave her an apologetic smile and started eating cherishing my memos with my guys,

Suddenly I heard my ringtone blaring in my room, I indicated zahi to stop, wiped my mouth , had some water and ran to my room

" who could it be calling me now" I wondered
