Chapter 1
Okay. Here goes nothing. New story who is definitely planned to reach far beyond 30 chapters... but let's hope I won't lose interest until then.
But my DSMP books were the only ones ever fully finished so far, so I have a good history with those!
I hope you will enjoy this story as much as you enjoyed the others!

Dream yawned and rubbed his eyes after staring at his monitor for a solid 3 hours straight. He had been busy editing the newest manhunt video so it was ready for the premiere the next day. He was especially excited as he had faced 5 hunters this time and did some risky and unbelievably lucky maneuvers during his run. His community will surely love this new video, or at least he hopes they will. It's getting more and more stressful to make good progress in a speedrun when there are more hunters chasing him every time.
A quick glance at the time told him that it was just about time get ready for bed if he wants to keep his sleep schedule in tact. Patches looked up from her position on the bed and meowed when she realized that her owner was finally done for today. "I know girl. I'll feed you in a second." She followed him to the kitchen and purred loudly when her bowl was filled with fresh food. Dream just quickly downed a glass of water before going to the bathroom to get ready for bed. It had been a long day for him after all.
Why am I so tired? Even with a somewhat stable sleep schedule, he had never felt so... absolutely exhausted after editing a video. Usually he would just chat with George and Sapnap until he was tired enough to go to sleep, but it seems like he won't need that today. He will just text them a quick goodnight before he goes to bed. My body feels so heavy... Let's hope I'm not getting sick. He has so much planned for this week that he just can't afford to get sick now. Tired... he's just tired. After getting some rest he will surely feel much better.
After dragging himself through his evening routine he went to lay down in his bed and cuddle with Patches, of course only after texting his two friends a quick goodnight and another thank you for the amazing recording. That is always something that makes him feel better and relax after a long day. Just have Patches snuggle close and purr so loudly that he can't hear anything else is enough to ease him into a deep sleep.

The first thing Dream noticed when he woke up was how warm it was. Warmer than usually, even with the thick blanket he currently had. The mattress beneath him also feels harder... and... is that wind? He was sure that he closed the window before going to sleep... or maybe he really just forgot. Who knows.
The second thing he noticed was a weird weight on his face and how his vision became slightly blurry at the edges. Does he need glasses now? He always assumed his eyes were just fine. The deep blue above him also seemed to be brighter... more vibrant. Wait... Blue? His bedroom isn't... that's not his bedroom ceiling. It was only then that the streamer truly realized where he was... what his surroundings are.
He sat up in an instant and saw an endless field of lush green and colorful flowers, with soft hills and large mountains in the distance. The sky was a brilliant blue with only a few fluffy clouds slowly making their way across the endless stretch of blue. Behind him was a dense forest that seemed so mysterious and dark that he doesn't even want to think about going in there. A single large Crow was perched on one of the nearby branches, watching him closely before it flew off in a hurry, almost as if it was called by something.
Where the fuck am I? Is this a dream?
The blonde touched his face... or at least he tried to. Instead of soft skin his hand touched a cold and smooth surface. The weird weight on his face started to come back to him as he slowly peeled whatever this thing was off his face. His heart almost stopped when he saw the simple smile drawn on the front of the mask. "My... mask? But..." Then he noticed his clothes. A simple dark green Hoodie, black pants and leather boots. His hands were covered with black fingerless gloves.
Nononono this has to be a dream. Or a nightmare. This can't be real!
He had no idea for how long he had been sitting there, just staring at the white mask in his hands, but it was enough for the sun to travel quite a way over the sky. "What the fuck is going on..." This can't be real... but he can feel the wind... the sun.. the grass beneath him, even the smooth surface of the white mask in his hand. He can feal it all as if it was right there. There's no way that he's just imagining this. It's too fucking realistic to be a dream...
But if it's not his imagination, then where the fuck is he? This place doesn't look anything familiar to him. A soft oink at his side grabbed his attention. A small pig stared up at him with big eyes before lowering it's head and nudging at the pockets of his hoodie. "No... I don't have any treats. Go away." Of course the pig didn't understand him and kept on nudging him. It was small, probably still a piglet. Not that he has ever seen a real pig before and could judge how old one is just by looks.
His eyes wander to the group of pigs that were nosing around in the tall grass. Since when are there wild pigs? Sure, he had heard of boars and all that, but actually pink pigs? He watched the animals a little longer and noticed sheep further away. 'Wild sheep and pigs... then my weird outfit... the mask on my face... no... that can't be real.'
The only thing he could think of that would explain all of this would be... that he's literally in Minecraft. But that doesn't make any sense. It's just a game! On the other hand... it could be just a very realistic dream...
The small pig had now sat down by his side and placed it's head in his lap. He started to stroke over its small head, noticing that it was covered in a thin layer of fluffy pink fur. "I never knew you guys can be so fluffy..." The pig huffed and leaned into his touch. "Guess you are my friend now, hmm? I didn't even know that it's possible to befriend pigs in this game."
He looked up at the sun, noticing that it must be late afternoon now. If this really is Minecraft, then he will need a shelter for the night, otherwise he won't make it for long here. Looking back at the forest behind him, he decided to test his theory. If this is indeed the game, then he'll be able to break down these trees.
Carefully, he placed the mask back on his face and secured the leather strap around his head, before getting up and walking over to the nearest tree. He took a deep breath, before throwing the hardest punch he could against the dark wood. "OW OW OW!" His hand ached with the pain of hitting a hard surface with such force, but it looked like it worked. Noticeable cracks formed on the surface of the wood. Or he's just that strong. Who knows.
The pig at his side grunted and tried to copy him, hitting it's head against the tree with a soft *thud*. "Nononono don't do that. You'll hurt yourself." He picked up the pig and placed it back down a bit away from him. "Stay. Let me handle this." After making sure that the pig will indeed stay there, he turned back to his tree and punched it again... and a third time. His hand burned from the action, but he still grinned in victory when the tree finally gave in and fell. As soon as it made contact with the ground, it poofed into a few log blocks, floating an inch or two above the ground.
"Weird... but it makes it easier I guess." When he reached out his hand, the blocks float towards him and then disappeared. "Huh... inventory is still a thing too?" He noticed a metal wristband and pressed the small button on it. What the worst that can happen?
The familiar inventory menu appeared in front of him, showing the five logs he had collected so far. His best guess is that it works like a touchscreen, so he tapped on the logs and dragged them to the little crafting menu. After a few minutes of fumbling around, he had made a crafting table and a wood pick. "Let's go look for some stone so I can make myself a weapon."
The pig followed after it's new friend and watched with big eyes how he started to hit against a bit of exposed stone with his pick. When he climbed back out of his little hole he was soaked in sweat, but happily jogged over to the crafting table anyways. He made a sword, a pick and some torches with the bit of coal he found. He also made himself an axe and got to work on collection more wood. The leaves disintegrated into sticks and even left some apples behind, so food won't be an issue.
Once he was satisfied with his work, he grabbed the crafting table and looked around. "Where should we go little guy? I need a hiding space for the night." The pig blinked, before wandering off into a random direction out to the plains. "Alright then." He followed after his companion, looking around the area for a good hiding spot. No way he will go into the woods. The monster could hide behind every tree. And the shade would not let them burn away in the sun.
"You know... I'm very tempted to call you Techno... just for fun." He leaned down to pat the pig on the back, smiling a bit when it looked up and oinked. "You're cute... I guess that explains how some people can have pigs as pets." The two continued walking, exploring the almost endless looking plains until the sun started to come dangerously close to the horizon.
Dream noticed a small cave in the side of a hill and decided that it would make a great hiding spot. It wasn't a cave really, more like a dent that he could light up and cover with dirt, which was exactly what he did.
It was a race against the sun and his heart almost stopped when seeing the first distant figures crawl out of their hiding spots. He was only half way done. With still hurting hands and tired arms, he covered the rest of the entrance as fast as he could. A nearby zombie groan made him flinch and dive into his cave, shoving the last dirt block into the wall.
He panted and flopped back against the wall, trying to calm his racing heart. There's no doubt about it anymore. This is real... and those monsters were real.
It was completely dark outside by now, and Dream could hear the sounds of monsters roaming the surface right above him. He shivered and grabbed his stone sword a little tighter. He's safe in here... nothing can hurt him... right?
A too close for comfort zombie groan made him press more into the corner of his hideout. What he wouldn't give to be back home again, just recording with his friends and having fun in the streams they do together or just have patches curl up against his side. He would prefer almost anything over the situation he's in right now. One wrong move and his life would be over.
He hates it here.
He just wants to go home.
Please.
