Gabriel's POV

I sat in my cell, my fury only growing. 'Those blasted heroes! Used the stupid power boosters! I almost saved Emilie!" I heard flapping coming towards me, so I looked up and saw one of my wonderful akumas. 'Who knew? The akumas that have no purpose except to tire Ladybug and Chat Noir would be useful to me.' I quickly searched around and found a metal rod on the floor. I pointed it at the akuma as it phased into the object. A purple glow enveloped me and when it left, I was Hawkmoth again. 'Revenge is coming...'

Mari/Ladybug's POV

I was sitting in Mrs. Bustier's class, trying to ignore all the stares from my classmates. I tried focusing on the lesson, but just couldn't bring myself to focus. I kept my eyes down on my paper, but I could still feel Chloe's evil stare and others looking over at me.

*Crash!*

Suddenly, the wall caved in where the windows used to be. I looked around, but no one seemed to be hurt, but Chloe had her leg stuck under the rubble. She called out for Sabrina, but she was hiding from something. I looked over and saw a villain, looking straight at me. 'I thought Hawkmoth was locked up!'

"I am the Destroyer! I will destroy all those who stand in my way! I will never be a doormat again! She then looked down at Chloe, who was still stuck underneath the debris from the wall. "Starting with you!" The akuma pointed her staff at Chloe, who was frozen in her fear. I jumped in front of Chloe as I called out my transformation words. I grabbed my yo-yo and spun it around, to act like a shield. The akuma shot at ray at me, but it just deflected off. While still spinning my yo-yo, I lifted the rocks of of Chloe. She got up and just stared at me, then she ran off, hopefully to safety. I looked back to make sure the rest of the class already left the room to get to safety. While my back was turned, I suddenly fell to the ground, dropping my yo-yo, with my legs on pain. I looked down and saw that my legs got slightly swollen, indicating bruising. Before I could fight back, I was hit in the stomach. I had time to think of one cause. 'Hawkmoth escaped...'

Adrien's POV

After the wall caved in, I ran out as fast as I could, trying to find a good place to hide. I jumped in a janitor closet and Plagg came flying out.

"Adrien? I though we got rid of your da- Hawkmoth."

I remembered my dad and I could tell Plagg felt bad for his slip up.

"Adrien? I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"

"Plagg, Claws Out."

I got transformed and ran out of the closet right before I went to go help Ladybug, I saw a group of students stuck under some rubble. I went over and lifted up the pieces as they got out as fast as possible. After I set them down, I was about to take a break, but then remembered the akuma. I ran up to the classroom, only to find it empty. I thought they just went to fight elsewhere, but then a fresh, clean sheet of paper caught my eye. I picked it up and began to read it.

"Chat Noir, come to the Eiffel Tower as soon as possible if you want to ever see Ladybug again. Don't get any ideas or friends, or you ladywill not be ensured her safety."

I growled. 'No! I should've left those people! Mari needed my help and I wasn't there! You screwed up big time! Watch out Hawkmoth...I'm coming...'

I scouted around the Tower to find Mari on the highest level, where you could still get up my stairs, but couldn't be seen from below. I got closer and saw she was unconscious. I landed silently behind Mari, checking my surroundings before taking out her gag and untying the ropes that held her bound to the chair. After I took out her gag, she began to wake up. 'The cloth was drugged...' I finished untying her ropes, but before I could help her out of her chair, I heard a voice call out.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you..."

I turned around to see Hawkmoth standing a few feet away. I immediately grabbed my baton and stood between him and Mari.

"Back off! Where did you get your miraculous again?! How did you escape!"

He laughed deeply. "You are not the only one with ways to boost your Kwamis. I made several akumas that could go only to those with pure rage, giving me the ability to escape. I don't have the Butterfly miraculous, but I do have a better one instead."

I saw in his hand two little earrings. I was about to grab them, but decided I should get Mari to safety. I went and grabbed her arm but she yanked it back. I looked over to see Mari crying. She managed to tell me why she couldn't get up in a cracked voice.

"T...trap. If pressure is released on this chair, the mines under the legs will e...explode..."

I turned back to Hawkmoth, who seemed to be enjoying this.

"You think it's entertaining to see lives in danger?! Would your dead wife want any of this?!"

"Shut It! I am doing this for her! I promised I would pay any cost to get her back!"

"Including the risking of lives of others? You think she would be very glad to be back if her life was at the cost of another?!"

"She wouldn't have to know that...Say goodbye to your precious partner.."

At that moment, the Chair exploded. I was knocked back by the explosion, while Mari flew off the Tower.

"No!!" I get up, ignoring the pain in my chest and jump off to catch her from the fall. Right before she hits the ground, I catch her in my arms. I put my hands on her wrist, checking for any signs of life. 'No pulse....Or Breath...'

I stood there with her in my arms, crying, but to weak to scream out. I held her lifeless body in my arms, wanting to do anything to fix her. Suddenly, a purple glow surrounded me. After it left, I found strength return to me. I began to hear Hawkmoth.

"Chat Blanc, all you want is your loved one back. I can give that to you, at the price of your miraculous."

I jump up to where Hawkmoth was waiting. He had his hand outstretched.

"Give it up. You will-"

I threw my staff at him. He barely missed it. I lifted my head slightly and spoke back to him.

"Thank you...for giving me the ultimate power to destroy you..."

Ahhh! I'm dying! I knew that after I posted this, cliffhangers would be abundant. Oof... I don't like the ending, but I just had to.. sorry for the long wait, but I should be able to post again at least 2 times this week.
