Katherine's hand was on my forehead. Her eyes were taunting and depressing as well. She started checking my pulses. I knew that I wasn't okay. It was because of the night, I spent in the rain. I felt my head heavier than my whole body. My legs were vibrating due to cold.

"What are you feeling, right now?" She asked me, politely.

"I'm fine." I said, rudely.

"I don't believe that." She said in low voice.

"Just outside air sickness." I answered.

"You are going to stay here, remember?" she reminded me.

"I do." I said.

"Good. You better rest" She sighed.

She switched off the lights and went away.

My body was aching and same was the case with my head. Thoughts, the truth, I wanted to escape for few time had come to me. Jake was my brother and he knew that. Dylan was my bitter enemy but my sister's close friend. The condition was complicated. The complications had reach to its extent. My room which used to fill with Dylan's ghosts only, was filled Katherine's illusion, Jake's reflection and Lady's shadow. If I were an ordinary boy, things might be easier, simpler and safer. The extraordinary mind was the reason behind this torture. I wanted to go back in past but it wasn't possible. Although the past was gone and we can't change it but its tracers were still present. Those tracers were toxic.

Dull Sun rays were coming through the window that was covered by the curtain. I sat up and my head was revolving. It seems like my mind stopped working and my heart was near to die. There comes a time when you are completely helpless. The rays of light cannot even help you. You fell like a bird who is kept in cage with a predator. I spent hours sitting there, thinking about my life. I felt like I spend my whole life, useless. I wasted my life. But, I felt like I wasn't the one who wasted his life, Katherine was with me. Katherine wasted her life much more than me. She was trusting his fake friend over me. I just kept my mouth shut, every time when there was a need to speak out. And I just ignored myself for her.

My sixth sense told me about a danger. I heard Katherine giggling with someone. And we all knew the person was talking about was Dylan. Door was opened by the pale hands. His spooky face appeared in my sight. His smile was not torturing me. His eyes weren't biting me, anymore. It felt like everything had change. No, nothing changed, I made my mind to change myself.

"How are you?" he smiled.

"I'm great." I fake smiled.

He laughed.

"That's good that hear from you, little brother." He said.

"I'm not brother." I spitted out.

"Then who is your brother? That..." he murmured.

He came closer to me and sat near my feet. His face attracted towards mine.

"Tonight I'll kill you in front of your sister. I promise you." he smiled.

"Promise?"

"Yeah... I promise." He hissed.

His honey colored turned red for a few seconds and then he went away.

This was not the first time he wanted to kill me. He tried to kill me every time when he got a chance. He just wanted to kill me, to break the curse. What I need was my sister's trust for me.

Everything was fading in front of my eyes and then, everything totally disappeared. I heard my sister's voice.

"Austin are you, okay?" She asked me politely

"I will be." I said.

So, Katherine and Dylan were sitting, outside. Dylan was continuously checking me and threatening me. Silence was my reply. This was the time, I thought I need to contact Jake. I need him. My sister's phone was lying on side table. After thinking million of times I used it to contact Jake. I messaged her.

I just want to say that I'm in a great trouble. I just want to escape from this terrible place. Dylan is here again. Can you help me, please. I am coming to your place as soon as possible. L

I lifted my eyes up and I saw, Katherine was there. she was watching me, silently. She snatched the mobile phone from me.

"What were you, doing?" She asked softly.

"Nothing..." I said.

She gazed at message several times.

"To whom, do you texted this? Where this number come from. Whom are you talking to?" She fired all the words.

"It was already saved." I said.

Dylan was standing at the door, smiling at me.

"Stop it Austin! Don't lie anymore! Where did you get it?" She asked me.

"Sis, I know everything." I said.

"What? Everything?" she was shocked.

"I know Jake is our brother." I said her, finally.

The truth that was hidden from me was revealed in front of her.

She was quiet at that time. Her annoyed orange face was turned worried blue.

"Katherine, why did you told him?" He shouted.

"Katherine didn't told anything nor Jake. " I said.

"He is not going to stay alive, remember your promise , Katherine?" I hissed.

I headed near me, I turned my side and paddled my legs. I rushed out of the room. Dylan was following me.

"Austin, stay here!" She cried.

Ignoring her words I moved out of the house, Dylan kept following me and Katherine was screaming from behind.

"Dylan don't go!" she screamed again.
