Sergei woke to the sound of bickering. Putting most of his energy into getting up he went to see what was going on. When he came to the cause of it, His blood ran cold, Manya. He came over and both William and Manya stopped and turned to him. Sergei calmly said,"Manya, please let Viola go and William you as well" both did what they were told. Viola ran over to him and hugged him tightly. Sergei picked her up and looked at Manya,

" if you want to talk about this we can schedule a meeting later" Manya paused and asked if next Sunday was ok. Sergei agreed and she left without another word. William, trying to say something, saw Sergei's face, it was cold as ice." Why are you here?" Sergei questioned, unintentionally sounding cold." I received a phone call from Tovi saying you passed out in front of your door," William recalled. Sergei paused... then sighed, " William... I think you should go...."

William wanted to protest, however, he realized Sergei may need a break from everything and time to himself. William understood this."I'll check on you tomorrow then, make sure you eat the champ in the kitchen," William exclaimed in his best positive tone. Despite the rough atmosphere around him. Tovi, who was in his room during the entire thing, walked out before William left.

" Bye-bye Fuzzy! I hope we can talk again!" the oblivious little boy remarked. William waved goodbye and left for his own home. Sergei, still carrying Viola, walked to the kitchen to look at his calendar. There was only a day before he would have to meet with Manya. Sergei sighed, He didn't want to have to be dragged out to court again. He already had full custody of his kids, and she didn't even pay child support. Sergei didn't care if she did pay, he just wanted to have his kids with him. She never paid any attention to them...so why now? The only thing that pulled Sergei away from his thoughts was a tug on his pants.

He looked down at Tovi who was happy to finally get his father's attention." Dad! Dad! Me and Fuzzy made a funny food for you. I helped him make it you gotta eat it!" images of the charcoaled remains of the "lasagna", claimed by the Murphy kids,  taunted his mind. He gulped and realized he might have to eat it. He slowly made his way, daughter in arms, to the counter where three bowls of " the funny food '' were laid.

It wasn't black which was a calming thought to Sergei. It seemed to be some kind of potato dish. Sergei hesitantly set his daughter down and grabbed silverware and they all said to begin to eat. The food, surprisingly, was very delicious, it was good enough to say both kids enjoyed it. Sergei's kids both climbed in bed with him that night. They all cuddled together. Sergei watched their sleeping faces,

" Please don't take them away from me," Sergei muttered to himself as he drifted to sleep
