Life is like the faces of a coin,
If it's heads, you get happiness,
And if it's tails, you get sadness,
It's like the cycle of life.

There is equal amount of happiness,
And sadness in everyone's life,
Like in one moment, you can laugh like crazy,
And in another, you could cry like a baby,

But people tends to focus more on sadness,
And claw their wounds up,
But let me ask you something,
Can you really change your past?

We have no super power so we can't,
So if we do have regrets,
We can just try to make it up,
By being the best version of ourselves,

Don't claw on your wounds,
Just let it go,
There might be times when someone,
Someone reminds you of your flaws,

There might be a moment,
When you say 'I give up!
I can never escape my past!'
You can think all you like,
But don't you dare give up,
'Cause you are supposed to hold up together,
Just know that you are not alone,

Every single person in the face of this earth,
Lives with a burden inside, their own skeletons in their closets,
So no matter how hard it is,
Just know that no one is perfect,

The only perfection you can see,
Are the non living things, plants and trees,
But there is one flaw in that too,
The fact that all perfection has to perish,

Remember the moment when you were perfect,
'Cause everyone was born as an angel from the start,
It's the choices we make and circumstances,
That makes and breaks us apart,

But don't just focus on all the sadness,
Don't just sit and count your wounds,
Sharpen you memory, think and remember,
All the times you were in laughter,
All the precious moments where,
You were the reason for others smiles,

If you really check, if you really try,
You can always find a reason to smile,
Because you might seem like a devil,
But you are a sheep in wolf's disguise,

You're not all bad and evil,
You did help someone once in a while,
If you can't remember anything good,
Then perhaps it's about time to start,

Don't try to be nice and creepy all of a sudden,
If you have been dark and cold all this while,
Take baby steps, one step at a time,
'Cause even the smallest effort would mean a lot,

And remember, always remember,
When life gives you lemon,
Take it with a pride,
Say yourself, "You deserve it, 'cause you are strong,
You can take it, you can control it all",
'Cause moping and feeling sorry will never work out,
The only thing that would change your frown,
To a beautiful and flawless smile,
Is to be strong, and fight for the right!

So remember, keep reminding yourself,
Happiness and sadness are 2 faces of a coin,
When you are sad, know that happiness is waiting,
Waiting for you to fight back,
Fight back so it can enter in your life,
'Cause you deserve it, everyone does,
All you have to do is 'never give up'!

A/N: I will admit I was a little off in this one. I kind of wrote the first half of the poem 1 week ago and was too busy that I forgot all about it. 🙈🙈🙈
So it might seem like it was written by 2 person, i.e. one by-me-today, and the other by me-one-week-ago. 😅😅😅 So please bear with me.

Actually, Chuck it! Don't bear with me! I mean it's not like I will get an Oscar or something for my poetry anyway (I have no idea if there is any award for poetry writing 😁😁😁).
