45% of trans people ages 18-44 have tried to commit suicide, over 80% of trans children and young adults have tried to commit suicide and/or have self harmed in one way or another.

Everyday at least 5 trans people try and kill themselves, everyday. We loose all these people for the reason that they couldn't be themselves, the couldn't be who they wanted to be.

The girl above is Leelah Alcorn, who was born Josh Alcorn. She is one of my biggest Inspirations and is one of the people who has helped me stay strong, I can remember a time when I had the pills in my hand and the knife on the sink and then I was reminded if her, and how she wanted her death to be heard. she wanted equality and freedom for transgender people across the world.

We need to be treated like humans, were not fucking animals, we are living, breathing, humans. we have feelings, we have hearts, and everyday we get told that all we are is fucked up, and that's not okay. people need to know that this is normal, that this isn't just something that we decide over night. being trans haunts us, it's this burden that we have to carry around knowing that were not who were supposed to
