Chapter 1

It was a nice calm summer night, the stars were shining brighter than her eyes on this night. She didn't think she could feel anything anymore honestly, she's lost lots of fights but she's determined to win this one. "Faith?" Her mother called through her door, she dried her eyes and sniffled before masking her broken voice.

"Yeah?" She called making it look as if nothing was wrong when her mother turned the doorknob.

"Do you want any cake?" Her Mother asked with a smile as she leaned on the door frame.

"No, thank you." She said with a small smile, her mother exited and she locked her door before she went to her desk drawer. She sighed as she pulled out one of the blades, she picked up her phone and sighed as she looked at the time. Eight o'clock, she could make this quick, no letter, she would just slash her wrists and have it over with.

"Open your door, Faith!" Her brother called angrily as he pounded on her locked door, she panicked as she hastily hid the small blade under her phone.

"What do you want, Jason?" She asked as she opened the door, he barged in and sat on her bed with a huff.

"So there's a guy and he wants to go on a date with me, what should I do?" He asked as he tapped his painted nails on his cheek.

"I don't care, you're fifteen shouldn't you decide for yourself?" She asked as she crossed her arms in order to hide the marks.

"Woah, what happened to your arms?" He asked with a shocked expression.

"Nothing it was Izuku, my cat." She said as her cat pranced into the room with a curious sniff of the air. Jason shrugged it off and walked out, Faith closed her door and locked it once again as she took off her shirt to change. She stopped for a moment by the black-lined body mirror she had gotten when she was ten and looked at the many scars and fresh cuts that lined her stomach, chest, breasts and arms.

It was then she noticed the pudge that lined her stomach. This was part of the reason she had cut herself and stopped eating so much, why her parents became concerned for her well being as she got smaller every week. She sighed and went over to her phone and picked up the small blade that was hidden underneath.

She made a few gashes she'd have to cover later. But for now she admired the way the blood beaded around the cuts, how some of the blood spilled over the edge and ran down her arms. She grabbed a shirt and pulled it on before climbing into bed, she'd have to explain the blood on her sheets to her parents in the morning. As she thought of many ways to explain the blotches of blood on her sheets in the morning, she'd forgotten to put the blade back in the hidden desk drawer before she fell asleep.
