Mahdi, Neela, and Yazeed left later that same afternoon.

A week later nothing was happening. Sera was still showing no signs of life, the girls still planned their attack, and Des was a stand in ruler until Sera could do it. Business as usual.

No one had heard from Neela or Astrid for a week. They weren't worried for Astrid, but they were worried for Neela. A week was a kinda long time for a trip to Matali.

But as they sit and wonder about Neela they don't have anything planned. How could they? Sera was their leader, and had everything planned. Without her they were lost. Swimming in circles getting nowhere. All they could do was hope she would come to, but they felt like that's all they were doing. Hoping. Hoping for something good to happen to Sera. Hoping for a solution to Orfeo, and Abbadon. Hoping.

With all this hoping came nothing. No sign in Sera, and no solution. Nothing, but a void. A deep dark void, deeper, and darker then the abyss. They felt like they were all in the abyss. Going deeper then anybody ever thought possible.

It was in that moment when everyone began to feel pain. Excruciating pain. Some of the girls bent over in pain. Something was terribly wrong. The pain went on for what felt like minutes, but it came, and gone in an instant. When it was over they all looked up at each other. Without uttering a single word they all swam quickly out of the room, and down the hall. Passing guards, servants, and anyone or anything swimming in the halls of the palace. It took them only seconds to reach the infirmary. Where the scene was laid out.

Doctors were everywhere, but I'm the midst of it was Des. He was floating still. In shock.

Becca swam up to Des. "What happened?" Becca asked.

He turned to face her. His face red, blotchy, and tear stained. "Sera," was all he mustered.

"What about her?"

"I don't know. One minute she was fine. The next," Des didn't have to finish that sentence.

They all knew. Sera was dying. But this time there was nothing they could do, but hope that she would make it.
