AMANDA SCHWARTZ WAS ALIVE AND WELL. SORT OF. With her entrance into Hawkins High, she was more lonely than ever. Will and El were in California, Mike and Dustin had befriended the local Dungeons and Dragons club—also known as the Hellfire Club—Lucas was a star basketball player and Max was rightfully sulking and avoiding everyone at all costs a year after the mall fire that had happened over the summer. Amanda would've done the same—sulking and pouting and whatnot, but she had already had so much of her life taken away from her she decided that it was finally time to make a move, to make her mark on the world. So with her mom's debit card and a weekend bus trip to the strip mall, Amanda was brand new and humming "Don't Rain on My Parade" the night before her first day at Hawkins High.

    All of that came crashing down when her past came back to haunt her.

i started watching st4 and then i could see mandy in a few scenes and it led me to missing her and her story so here we are ! a sequel for my beloved manda bear and her best friendship with will <3

before we get into the story:

— i'm politely imploring y'all to refrain from calling amanda or the kids a "dumb bitch". i've seen a lot of those comments in the first book and it made me sad and uncomfortable seeing them considering that she's a kid. they're all kids. they're gonna make mistakes and they're gonna do stupid things so please don't call anyone a bitch.

— i'm gonna tell you now that amanda does develop a small crush on eddie BUT eddie looks at her on the same level he does mike and dustin. so please don't get any weird or wrong ideas or i'm gonna delete your comment and block you. fiction or not, children should be protected. i can't tell you how many users i've seen make suggestive comments about these kids or teenaged actors in general. i don't really care if you're the same age as them, you shouldn't be making those comments in the first place. stop it.

— i've also noticed in the first book that some people call will and amanda's instances of shared trauma "trauma bonding" and i'd like to tell you that what they have isn't trauma bonding as trauma bonding is an abuse tactic—feel free to look into it. mental health awareness month may be coming to an end as i write this (may 31st), but it's never too late to educate someone—and mental health awareness shouldn't be dedicated to just one month but anyway !

— also, don't trauma dump in the comments. it's irritating and irresponsible as no one consented to dealing with any of that. it's not a competition. your comment will be deleted. you won't be blocked, but you will get a warning.
