     The cold , crisp wind blowing onto Holly's fur causes the young queen (wow.. autocorrect wanted to change that to queer XP) to smile while helping Button to his his stop, keeping her school bag on her tail. Autumn is here, which means her favorite season is close, Winter.
  Sure, winter is cold, but the cat loved being to wear 5 blankets and just relax in bed. Holly also loves snow, mainly because where she lives, snow doesn't come often. The young queen probably looked like a 5 year old when she goes into the snow, but she doesn't care.
  One thing Holly also noticed, was that everyone always seemed happier in winter. The spirit of Christmas, New years, and other Holidays in winter filled a lot of cats with happiness.

  After walking to the bus stop at the corner of a block, Button grinned, ready for the day of school that he loves, which seems to be every school day. Holly's brother turned towards his sister, with energy flowing in his eyes.
  Suddenly, he jumped towards Holly, the action quickly turning into a hug as as he brushed against his sisters fur.

  "I wove you Howwy," Button mewed, the ' l 's turning into ' w 's.
Holly grinned, something that only a few people have seen, a genuine smile.

"I love you too, my amazing brother."

  "You think they wouldn't of banned scarfs when there are cats who literally have to fly to school, the higher the colder, for more than 12 miles," Holly grumbled to herself after Button left onto the bus, checking to make sure her tail had a good grip on the bag before flying up into the air.

  The school district that Holly was in had a rule that, by middle school, students with wings should fly to school , and can't take the bus. This bothered Holly a little bit, Why would they make me fly for about 16 miles?! That's insane!! Holly thought to herself, gaining a higher flight info the air.
  She looked down below as the sun started rising up into the sky, observing the ground below her.

  Holly flew over the many neighborhoods, watching as cats got into their cars, and school buses picked up children.
   Holly smiled as she watched the world around her, seeing the cats with normal and stable lives. That was a life that she doesn't have at the moment.

  No normal cat at the age of 13 should be taking care of their 7 year old, they should be with friends, people that love them who isn't family. Someone who doesn't have a family member who leaves... Never to be seen again...

  The young queen frowned as thoughts got scrambled in their mind, looking down to see the stores and car-filled streets of her small town. Why does the school have to be at the complete opposite of where she lived, and where a lot of neighborhoods were?!, Holly grumbled in thought after a while.
    If it was the first day, Holly's wings would've been tired and she would have to fly into the ground and walk the rest of the 6 miles that were left, but she's been going to school for about 2 months, so her wings are getting used to it.

  The young queen looked up, spotting only a few cats that were flying at this height, and a few crowds about 10 feet below her. She smirked at the traffic below, and flew above them.

  After about 20 minutes of both flying and walking, Holly made it to the school, smiling on satisfaction while she faced the brick building, feeling the soft grass beneath her white paws.
  The smile soon faded as she headed towards the entrance, ears bent back in fatigue. The schedule that she got in the first day was implanted in her brain.

   1st period- U.S. History
   2nd period- Science (Honors)
   3rd period- Algebra 1
   4th period- Art III (Lunch period for 7th and 8th graders)
   5th period- English (Honors)
   6th period- Spanish II
   7th period- Athletics

The young queen walked in the doors, the bell ringing soon after. Oh how convenient.
  Cats started filling the hallway, causing Holly to start heading to U.S. History. The queen kept her tail , that held her bag, close as she swiftly headed to her class.

  Holly walked through the hallways, watching as black, orange, brown, white, and other colors of fur passed the black-and-white queen, until something caught her eye.
A pale-tan colored cat came into the view, but wait, they have two pairs of ears? The upper-ears were normal sized, but the lower pair were smaller. It was hard to spot the details of the cat, but there were three colors that entered her mind.

Cream, pink, and cyan.

The lunch bell rang for E lunch, the last lunch of the day. Holly jumped up from her seat. She didn't care if the food was 50% fake, is she was hungry, she ate anything. The young queen walked as fast as she could without breaking into a run, trying to get past  the cats who couldn't go any slower.
    She would fly, but her wings would take up a lot of space, and plus flying inside the school building is against the rules. Holly quickly turned right, seeing the doors to the cafeteria ahead. Her paws slowed a bit, not seeing a lot of cats ahead of her.

  The cafeteria was a large space, with large and small tables scattered across the floor. Holly smiled, walking into the line that that has started to build up.

  Soon after getting her food, she walked towards a small, empty table placing the food down and sitting on the seat. Lifting up her white paws onto the table, Holly began to eat, folding her ears back. As the young queen ate, her mind thought back to the cream-colored cat. She didn't notice that cat before, and school has been basically going on for about two months. That's strange.

  "H-Hey, excuse me? Do you mind is me and my friend sit here??

  Holly looked up to see the cream-colored cat themself. Speak of the devil. Her tail twitched, zoning out for a second.
   "Oh! That's fine not a lot of people sit here anyways, so knock yourself out," Holly answered , watching the two cats' faces light up.
  "Thank you! I'm Slit by the way, and this is my friend, Shadow" the cat paused, "We were just transferred to this school."
  Huh, no wonder I haven't seen them the past two months.

  Holly smiled at Slit's energetic personality and Shadow's calm one, listening as they talked about different things. The two cats looked different than any other cat she's seen, and she's slightly fascinated by it.
 
  Slit indeed has 2 pairs of ears, and also had heterocromatic eyes, one being cyan and one being pink. The cat's wings weren't attached to the body somehow, as well as her legs and tail.
  Shadow almost looked like a cat plushie, purple fur with pale blue and yellow patches. The cat also had chocolate Brown eyes, which Holly didn't see often.

"So, what's your name? I haven't asked yet," Slit interrupted Holly's thoughts.
  "Oh, it's Holly," the young queen answered, looking into the cat's eyes, watching as a spark filled it.
"Ooohh that's a really cool name, I've never heard that before," Slit responded , " Maybe because cats wouldn't wanna name someone after something that kills them..."  Shadow shot Slit a glare as if to say not to go too far.

"So you have a family right?" Slit asked with pure curiosity , causing Shadow's eyes to widen in alarm.
  "Slit, you can't just ask people about their family, you have no idea if they even have one still," Shadow scolded, making sure to not be as harsh as it could've sounded.
   "No, no, it's quite alright, I have an adorable little brother named Button, as well as a great mom who makes sure to work hard to pay for bills and such," Holly jumped in.

Once again, the cream-colored cat turned her head in confusion.
"What about a d--," Slit froze as Shadow gave them a cold glare, "-- Nevermind."
  Shadow was about so say something, but the bell to go to 5th period rang, causing causing some mayhem to start in the lunch room.

  Holly got up and threw her trash away, starting to head back to the table, watching as Slit headed past her, saying a quick "bye". The queen was about to grab her stuff, but the fluffy tail of Shadow moved in her path, causing her to slow.

"Hey, I just wanted to say something," Shadow paused, " Thank you, a lot of people, as you could guess by our unique looks, judge us. When you had a normal conversation with us, let alone let us sit with you, you really made us happy and hopeful for the future. I mean, I've never seen Slit that happy in a long time. "
  They stopped talking, chuckling a bit, " So don't worry, Slit won't always be that energetic. "

  Holly smiled, looking into the eyes of Shadow.
"Oh, no problem, and although it might not compare to you two, but I know how it feels to be judged for a stupid reason, so it's really not a problem."
  A grin found its way onto Shadow's face, moving her tail back, and handing Holly's school bag to her, placing it on her tail.

  "Here, we should get to our classes," Shadow recommended before starting to walk away.

"Bye Holly."

"Bye Shadow."

  Holly walked to her class in silence, a smile still plastered on her face. It fell slightly, noticing whispers behind her, folding back her ears to hear.

"Have you seen those two new 7th graders? "
  "Yeah, they look so strange, like a 5 year old's imagination in two cats."
"Didn't you see that Holly actually let them sit with her?"
  " Really?! No, I didn't, wow, I knew that Holly was a worthless cat, but I didn't know she would have a heart for creatures like those two. "

  The young queen walked on in anger, her fur starting to bristle as she caught the urge to hiss. Holly's wings clung tightly to her for as she continued to her class, turning left to see her class not far ahead.
  She didn't understand. She didn't understand why people wanted to destroy others, and didn't want to understand. All Holly wanted to do was get through the rest of school, get a job to help mom, and help Button with his school. No dumb comment will stray her away from that. One thing Holly knew for sure though, is that no one deserves to be insulted for a reason that isn't under control.

  Holly would protect Slit and Shadow from being more damaged than they are now. She knew that they've been treated horribly by students, but do they have a deeper past that everyone would remember, but completely forget?
