History/Quick backstory: Moira is the oldest daughter of Dominic and Irene Barrett. The Barrett's are a family of mages, part of the reason that Aethel has a mage school to begin with. The Barrett's funded the original school. Moira was one of the students at the school, since they have magic in their blood. She adopted Minerva as a graduation present for herself. Shortly after the adoption she would take a position in the school to teach like her parents did (and still do). Her classes are focused on nature magic, and how to use your magic safely. It's a simple life but she is quite content with it.
