Eddie was getting frustrated. It had been nearly month his life had been changed forever and he was still quarantined inside Mount Flash, since he still looked like he was wrapped in a sheet of tin foil and he wasn't sure he could control his powers enough to prevent some kind of nuclear disaster in Central City, since according to the tests Caitlin had run on him, his energy was still unstable, though it was gradually starting stabilize bit by bit.

"You look like you could use some company." Jesse said to her boyfriend as she entered the lab he was calling his room.

"Yeah, I'm sick of being stuck in quarantine." Eddie said.

"Well, everyday you get closer to getting your freedom." Jesse said, trying to find a bright side.

"Yeah, but how much longer?" Eddie asked, right as there was a streak of silver lightning in the room as Flash's new protege, Silver Bolt, sped in.

"Actually, today's your lucky day Eddie." Nova said with a grin.

"What are you talking about and why would you want to help me, since from what you told us, isn't it my descendant that's terrorizing your time period." Eddie said, since Nova had told them all about Eobard Thawne.

"Speaking of which, I know you said that the Reverse Flash is Eddie's grandson, but you never mentioned if he was also mine." Jesse asked and Nova sighed.

"Jesse, I don't know. I only know that Eddie is Thawne's ancestor because of the last name. Thawne did his best to bury his family history after he went bad." Nova said.

"Got it." Jesse said, not sure if she really believed that, but choosing to let it go for now.

"Anyways, I stopped by because I brought something from the future that can help Eddie." Nova said.

"What do you mean?" Eddie asked as Nova pulled out a small blue orb.

"What is that?" Eddie asked.

"Future tech, a friend of mine who's much smarter than me and who helped me plan this little trip back in time created. He said that it was called an atomic stabilizer. I don't understand the physics of it myself, since it's way beyond me, but it should solve your problem." Nova said.

"What do you mean?" Eddie asked.

"Just watch." Nova said as she tossed the orb at Eddie and the second it made contact with his body, Eddie began to glow with blue light as his skin began regenerating and before they knew it, Eddie looked human again, including clothes, thankfully.

"Whoa, I'm back." Eddie said as he looked down at his body.

"Yeah. Your powers have been stabilized and integrated your containment into your biology. You should be able to shift between your human form and what I guess you could call your super form at will. Once you learn how to." Nova said, since she didn't really understand the science behind it, she just knew how to use the tech to help Eddie.

"Cool." Eddie said, still marvelling at future science and how it had given him his body back.

"You'll still need to learn to control your powers, but you don't have to worry about going nuclear anymore." Nova said and Eddie grinned.

"I can live with that. Especially since now I can leave this room." Eddie said.

"Don't worry, Joe and I have been paying your bills, so you still have your apartment." Jesse said.

"Thank you." Eddie said.

"Now, I have to go. Glad I could help." Nova said as she sped away.

"So, what else do you think she's keeping from us?" Jesse asked her boyfriend, the detective.

"Well, I think she was lying when she said that she didn't know if you were the Reverse Flash's great something grandmother, since I find it a bit too coincidental that we're going out, he's my descendant who's a speedster and you're a speedster too." Eddie said and Jesse nodded.

"Maybe she's trying to preserve the timeline, but I have to admit, even if one of our descendants is a homicidal maniac, it is encouraging." Jesse said.

"It is, but I still think that we need to let things run their natural course. I don't want us to be together just because of what we might know about the future or to break up trying to change it." Eddie said and Jesse smiled.

"I agree. We don't need to rush things anymore and yes, I know it's ironic to hear that coming from a speedster, but it's true. But there is something I need to talk to you about." Jesse said.

"And that is?" Eddie asked, wondering if she'd waited until he was in a good mood to break up with him.

"I got a call from Kara this morning, she offered me a promotion. To run the new Argo Enterprises facility in Coast City, overseeing our new aerospace division." Jesse said.

"Wow, Jesse, that's amazing." Eddie said before he realized what that meant.

"You're moving to Coast City?" Jesse said.

"I haven't given Kara an answer yet, I wanted to talk it over with you first, since we are getting pretty serious." Jesse said.

"Jesse, this sounds like an amazing opportunity and I'd never forgive myself if I was the reason you passed it up." Eddie assured her.

"And I guess with my speed, doing the long distance thing wouldn't be impossible. Especially since I'm still training with Barry." Jesse said.

"Or, once Caitlin gives me the all clear, I can look into transferring to Coast City PD. I wouldn't mind a change from the crazy of Central City. Dealing with normal crimes again." Eddie admitted.

"I wouldn't be too sure about that. After all, Coast City is Green Lantern's turf when he's not in space. Which is another reason Kara's reassigning me there. Since Green Lantern spends a lot of his time offworld, his city is unprotected. Kara wants there to be someone to protect the city when he's gone and I seemed like the best choice." Jesse said.

"Sounds like you could use some help, especially since I'm a meta now too. Once I learn to use my powers." Eddie said.

"I think that we'll make a great team. But you're sure about this?" Jesse asked.

"Completely." Eddie confirmed.

"Then let's do it. I'll call Kara and tell her that if the job's still available, I'll take it." Jesse said happily and Eddie nodded.
