Chapter 1
Magic was not an unknown topic subject to Weasely. The Weasley family was not wealthy, but they always tried the best that they could for their children. Even if it meant building a greenhouse from scratch.
At the moment an 11-year-old ginger girl with hazel eyes was in the greenhouse. She currently checking up on Dittany plants, along with Floo powder seeds that she stole from a shop in Diagon Alley. The little girl had a knack for stealing things, and she was good at it too. She's only been caught twice, once by a blonde boy, and another by the shopkeeper in Flourish and Blotts which led her to work at the shop two-three times a week. Her little scandal also landed her in the pages of the Daily Prophet; Mum was completely furious. As for Myla; she has that page framed in her room.
The door opened to the greenhouse, there stood her twin brother Ron. Myla and Ron seemed to fight quite often, but they did manage to get along. Ron could recite every quidditch player's name, and Myla could recite every botanical plant.
"Myla, mum wants you to come in," Ron said.
"I will in five minutes," Myla said. "I'm almost done."
"She wants you now, our Hogwarts letters came," Ron squealed as he jumped up and down. Myla's face lit up in joy, she put her stuff down before going inside with her brother.
"What a wonderful day!" Mum cheered. "Two more Weasley's going to Hogwarts!"
"Seems like we got to spread the word to our friends about keeping our pockets shut," George teased.
"Or not, it could help us out," Fred laughed. Myla's relationship with the twins was great, they were her favorite brothers. Fred and George always encouraged her thieving behavior, and she loved their humor and pranks.
"No, Myla you are not to be stealing," Percy scolded. "As a prefect, I am not going to be embarrassed by your hideous actions." Percy has always been rather strict with Myla, he's ashamed to have a thief as a sister.
"It's only stealing if you get caught, Pinhead," Myla said.
"Myla," Mom's tone changed.
"Sorry," Myla apologized. "Can we have cake tonight to celebrate?"
"Cake sounds yummy!" Ginny chimed, backing up her older sister. As the only sister, Ginny looked up to Myla a great deal, so whatever Myla wanted to do Ginny was quick to back her up. They do fight like most sisters.
Mom put her hands on her hips, looking at her daughters. "Oh, alright." Ginny and Myla looked at each other with joy. "But Myla that means you have to make the tea."
"Yes, mum," Myla nodded. Myla had dreamed of opening her own cafe since she was five. So she started to practice the art of making tea with help of her mom and family members. Soon Myla is back at the Greenhouse with Ginny, they were crushing herbs for the tea.
"Can't I come with you?" Ginny asked.
"No," Myla said. "You are just going to have to wait another year."
"But it's going to be so boring without you," Ginny complained. "Bill is away in Egypt, Charlie is out studying dragons, and the rest of you will be away at school."
"It's only a year," Myla said, she put the herbs into a pot.
"Then stay behind a year and enroll with me," Ginny suggested.
"Not a chance!" Myla scuffed. "I've been waiting for this as long as anybody. As soon as I get there, I can learn as much magic as I please, more pockets to pick."
"Percy just told you not to," Ginny reminded her.
"Percy isn't my father," Myla scrunched her nose. "Plus, if he doesn't find out then I am pleased to do as I want."
"What are you going to pickpocket at Hogwarts, all of you are students," Ginny reminded her.
They both left the greenhouse. "There are rich students, Ginny. They probably have loads in their pockets."
"Of what ink and quills?" Ginny asked.
"According to Charlie, third years and above go to a small wizard village, there's going to be more than ink and quills." Ginny's face lit up even more.

A few days later, Myla is at Flourish and Blotts for her shift, she is currently stocking new books.
"Young lady," a voice greeted, Myla looked over to see a very unpleasant Mr. Malfoy.
"What can I do for you today, Mr. Malfoy?" Myla asked.
"Get these," Mr. Malfoy ordered as he shoved a list in front of her eyes.
"Have you bothered to try looking or are you too lazy to do so?" Myla asked as she took the list.
"Myla!" the shopkeeper warned.
"Sorry," Myla apologized. "What do you need Hogwarts books for, Mr. Malfoy? I knew it was only a matter of time before you got sent back."
"For my son," Mr. Malfoy said as he rolled his eyes. "I've mentioned him multiple times."
Myla started to go find the books. "That's right...Draken wasn't it?"
"Draco," Mr. Malfoy clicked his tongue. "And you best remember it, you two will be classmates, and he's going to be the best student of your year."
"With me as his competition, he's lucky to come in third," Myla said.
"Oh, so you think you are better than my son?" Mr. Malfoy asked.
Myla started to grab the books. "That's to be decided at the end of the school year, the starting line begins the second day of school when the classes start."
"And when my son beats you, you are to hand over everything you've stolen," Mr. Malfoy proposed.
"I have no idea what you are talking about Mr. Malfoy," Myla glared at him. "I think you've been drinking a bit too much adult pumpkin juice"
"That's prosperous!" Mr. Malfoy hissed.
"To add on to this bargain, if I win...then you owe me 50 galleons," Myla proposed.
"That's a bit much don't you think?" Mr. Malfoy asked.
"You spend way more on Draken, 50 galleons is going to do nothing to your pockets," Myla said. "If you are afraid to lose to an 11-year-old girl then just say so, there is no shame in the truth Mr. Malfoy."
"It seems you have yourself a deal, Ms. Weasley," Mr. Malfoy smirked. "Be prepared to lose." He stuck out a hand.
"Be prepared to eat your words," Myla said as they shook hands. Soon after Mr. Malfoy left, Myla was able to help a couple more people along with doing more stocking.
"Young Myla," a voice said, she knew that voice well.
"Hagrid," Myla smiled as she turned around. Hagrid was a tall hairy man. Next to him stood a boy, with messy jet black hair, emerald green eyes, round glasses, and clothes a bit large for him. "Who is this?"
" Young Harry Potter," Hagrid said softly to make sure not to draw attention.
"So the rumors are true, this really is going to be your first year at Hogwarts," Myla said as she stepped closer to him. "I'm guessing you are here to grab your school books."
"Uh, not to be rude, but who are you?" Harry asked as he backed up a little.
"I'm Myla Weasley, we are going to be classmates," Myla said.
"Have you gotten your books yet, Myla?" Hagrid asked. "Or are you taking one of your siblings?
" I'm taking Fred's books, while Ron gets George's books, which he got from Percy, who go them from Charlie. who got them from Bill," Myla explained.
"And those people are?" Harry asked.
"My brothers," Myla answered, Harry's eyes went wide.
"Ms. Myla is one of my favorites in this shop, she can find you anything you are looking for," Hagrid said. "Once a stack of books came in invisible, the store spent hours looking."
"How were they found?" Harry asked.
"Tripped over them," Myla gleamed. "I can find your books for you, you go take a look around."
"Are you sure?" Harry asked. " I can help.".
"Nonsense," Myla said. " I encourage you to explore."
"You heard the young lady," Hagrid beamed. "Nothing to do but look around." Those two went off, Hagrid was showing him about every inch of the store. Soon after gathering the books, Myla found Harry looking at a book by Professor Vinditicus Viridian.
"That is a bit advanced for you," Myla said. Harry jumped in surprise. "Why are you looking at lastest revenge?"
"I'm just curious," Harry said. "Might use them on my cousin."
"It's probably best you don't," Myla said. "And as I said before, it's advance."
"How can you be so sure?" Harry asked.
"Would you go from math 8 into Algebra 2?" Myla asked.
"No," Harry answered as he tilted his head.
"So why would a new beginner go for spells that are beyond your level?" Myla asked.
"It could be worth a try," Harry said.
"Along with horribly wrong," Myla said. "Spells are just a wave of the wand, you need to understand the spell, the hand movements, say the pronunciation correctly."
"Do you know any of these?" Harry asked. "Can I see them in action?"
"No can do it, I'm not 17 yet, can't do magic outside of school," Myla said. Harry seemed down. "But maybe at Hogwarts, I can show you something." His face lit up.
"There you," Hagrid said walking up to them. "Thank you for your help today young Myla."
"I'm happy to help," Myla beamed at him. "Did you find anything to your interest?"
"I picked up a book that Professor Kettleburn has requested," Hagrid admitted. He then saw the book that Harry was holding. "Now, there's no need for you to have that."
"I was trying to find out how to curse Dudley," Harry said.
"I'm not sayin' that's a good idea but yer not ter use magic in the Muggle world except in very special circumstances," said Hagrid. "An' anyway yeh couldn't work any of them curse yet, you'll need a lot more study before yeh get that level." After paying for their books, those two left and Myla returned to her work. Hours later Myla was off her shift, she was now heading to Ollivanders to get her very own wand. She had earned more than enough to be able to get one. Plus it helped that she got tips from some of the customers.
"Hello?" Myla asked entering the building, there was nobody in sight. "Mr. Ollivander?" She walked in letting the door close behind her.
"Ah, Ms. Myla Weasley," the man said walking down an aisle. "I've been wondering when you would come to my shop today. And I'm guessing you aren't here to help me with the wands."
"Not today, Mr. Ollivander," Myla smiled. " As of this moment, I am a customer." Mr. Ollivander let out a light laugh.
"Well, hold out your right arm then," Mr. Ollivander said as a measuring tape began to go around her. Myla did as she was told. "How is Charlie's wand doing?"
"He's putting it down, said he doesn't need it for his career in dragons," Myla said. "Bill on the other hand always has his." Mr. Ollivanger laughed as he walked down an aisle, he soon came back with a few boxes.
"First one, a 9-inch, chestnut, swishy, unicorn, hair," Mr. Ollivander said. Myla gave it a swish, items flew off the shelves. "Not that one...hmm 13-inch rowan inch flexible, Dragonheart string."
Myla gave a swish, papers flew everywhere. "Probably won't tell Charlie about getting rejected from a Dragonheart string."
"You know my saying," Mr. Ollivander laughed.
"The wand chooses the wizard," the two said at the same time, Mr. Ollivander laughed more.
"Here, a 12 inch, sturdy, cedar and another Dragonheart string," Mr. Ollivander said. Myla gave another swish, this time a warm feeling went over her body, and the mess she made with previous wands were being cleaned up. "Excellent! Absolutely excellent!"
"What's so wonderful?" Myla asked.
"That is for you to find out Ms. Weasley," Mr. Ollivander laughed.
"7 galleons," Myla said as she held out her hand.
"Now you run along and don't get sticky fingers," Mr. Ollivander advised he boxed up the wand and took the money.
"Yes, sir!" Myla chimed as she left the shop. Once she got home, she went into Ron's room to show him the wand.
"Wow," Ron breathed as he studied it. "Your very own wand, you are so lucky Myla."
"I can lend you money so you can get your own," Myla offered. "Charlie's wand might reject you."
"No, I can't take money from you," Ron denied. "You've earned it."
"Some of them are tips," Myla said.
"I'll be fine for now," Ron said.
"Oh!" Myla lit up. "You'd never guess who I saw today?"
"Was it Gilderoy Lockhart?" Ron asked.
"What no," Myla scrunched her nose. "Harry Potter."
"Harry Potter!" Ron exclaimed.
Myla tackled Ron, putting a hand over his mouth. "Keep your voice down, you siren!" Ron started to yell at her, but it came out as muffled sounds.
"What's this I hear about Harry Potter?" Ginny asked opening the door.
"You've summoned her," Myla hissed at Ron, he started to make more muffled words.
"I want to know," Ginny said as she closed the door.
"I saw him at Flourish and Blotts getting his books," Myla said as she got off of Ron.
"What a load of rubbish," Ginny said.
"It's not rubbish," Myla argued. "It's the full truth, I helped him find his books."
"And what did this imposter look like?" Ron asked, Myla gave him a side-eye.
"Messy hair, eyes, round glasses," Myla described quickly. "He wanted to find a curse to use on someone called Dudley."
"Sure," Ron said. "And Viktor Krum is going come over for dinner tomorrow."
"Along with Ethan Parkin," Ginny said.
"I'm not lying," Myla said. "I truly saw him with my own eyes." She took out a bottle of ink. "I took this from him."
"You probably took that off some bloke," Ron said. "Bloody hell, Myla."
"What else did you steal today?" Ginny said as she sat on the floor. Myla pulled items out of the pockets, from quills, sweets, porcupine quills, rose oil, and an unlabeled potion, with some coins, and candles.
"Where did you get the potion from?" Ron asked.
"Mr. Malfoy, I got the candles and coins from him as well," Myla said.
"Holy merlin Myla," Ginny said. "You know not to steal from that family...they deal with dark magic."
"And you might as well have brought dark magic into our home, shame on you," Ron scolded.
"Oh, relax, I'll throw it out," Myla rolled her eyes. "Except for the coins."
Myla in fact did not throw the items away, any dark magic items Myla collected were put in a very tight secret container. She was curious about them, not with the intention of ever using them, but she still remained curious. Even though she isn't supposed, sometimes during her break or after work, Myla takes a trip down Knockturn Alley, and always stays in the shadows.
That night Myla was in the room she shared with Ginny, both headboards were by the window to cease fighting over who gets the window. On her side of the room, was decorated in who was number one herbologist, potions of the year. There was a calendar with a countdown to Hogwarts, a clock, photo with people dancing inside. On a bookshelf were loads of books filled with potions, romance, horror, herbology. Ginny's side had more quidditch items. Soon Myla fell asleep with the wonders of Hogwarts, she could not wait for the first day. She'll be away from the nest, and from there she can really start putting effort into her goals.
